@@zagorith14 Exactly. Little known fact: 97% of all stick tricks are in fact us drummers losing and quickly recovering the stick. We’re just that good. ;-)
He dropped the stick in beat, caught it backwards, looked at the camera, and kept going like nothing happened, then flipped it the correct way a couple measures down. If you were only listening you would never notice. So awesome

Ok the piano licks are amazing, but we gotta talk about how eerily spot on the drummer is. especially since most drummers are not used to following a piano lead. im guessing these guys have been playing together for at least a few years because jesus christ
also want to add that there are a lot of youtube pianists who play fast as a gimmick, but usually it sounds like shit. im not a huge fan of ultra-fast playing, but this guy is *actually* able to play at the tempo he's playing at.

Wonderful! Scott, I love how your playing even makes the other musicians smile. Dave is really digging it starting at 2:30 and it makes me smile to watch both of you. I could listen to you play like this all day!
Honestly if I hadn’t read the title I doubt I would have easily figured out what this was a cover of. I would be screaming in my mind I should know but I’d be hard pressed to figure it out. I am going to have to play this for my best friend without telling him what it is. All that said this was probably the best rendition I’ve heard yet and far more enjoyable than the original. Keep up the good work!

Ever see a audio illusion video of this song? It's just piano being played but it seems like you can hear the lyrics, especially the chorus. Just search smashmouth allstar audio illusion, there's a few of them. It's pretty freaky. It's not a trick, your brain just fills it in because you already know the lyrics. If you never heard the song before it wouldn't work.
