My friend, the talented jazz pianist and singer Tony DeSare, wrote this amazing "Evolution of Piano" arrangement that takes a journey through some of the most iconic piano hooks of all time. We recorded it at PMJ Manor a couple of years ago, and now it's finally ready, for your quarantined listening enjoyment. This was a blast to play, and super challenging! Fans of piano will especially appreciate all the details Tony threw in.

So fun to collaborate with you on this. Still can’t believe you learned this arrangement basically day of and memorized it.
Glad yall did this, you two have marvelous energy together.
That was fun!
i tried my best to keep up! Brilliant arrangement, Tony. Everyone follow Tony's page for more great stuff!
You both did a great job. It sounded like you've played together for years.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE(!) take the lyrics from Weezer's amazing song, "If you're wondering if I want you to" and turn it in to a piano love song. Listen to the song again. It's great as is, but it could also be an amazing piano love ballad. You're awesome. Love these videos. Keep it up!!!
Just BRILLIANT!! ❤️
god gave us the romantic period with chopin , liszt , brahms ,and so many great others .
this dude went with chopsticks
Haydn
Thought the same
So sad... maybe Chopin o Liszt is difficult for him.
I know. They seem to be more into pop. It wasn't balanced between periods. Hundreds of years in 10-15 seconds but they played lot's of 80's hits
如果选择liszt - debussy那科技树就奔着先锋派方向去了boulanger honegger stockhausen ligeti
Wonderful, Fun and charming. You left a pretty gig gap in the Romantic period, though. Whu no Chopin or Debussy?
I think they both are not classically trained musicians and those two can be really hard if your are a jazz or pop musician
@@lukasgalli Or Liszt, Haydn, Ennio Morricone or John Williams. . . all worthy of mention
Was literally thinking the exact same thing.
@ Yeah, thought so.. had me googling autumn leaves
They have their backs turned to each other, they have multiple pauses between songs, they moments of getting up and playing on the other piano, and yet they're perfectly in sync IN ONE TAKE. Bravo, guys! So fun and inspiring to listen to ❤️
Speechless!!!!!!! Thank you for these masterpieces 🖤 will be listening over and over. Looking forward to play them all as well
I'm smiling my head off, brilliant you two. Thanks
heart and soul always in the background
Fabulous piano artistry. All the different song picks were terrific. Thank you both for letting us listen and enjoy your wonderful talent.
Right after they finished - Scott : "Wanna do anotherone?" . Tony :"Yeah, sure"
So nearly 300 years of music resumed in under 10 seconds and then from the 1900s onward it's the rest of the video?
@@jekenzeR evolution of popular music
"That's all that matters, nobody listens to that boring stuff anymore!!"
yeah gotta cater to the masses. gotta get those clicks
well obviously they needed to have mostly pop music to get a lot of views etc :) I'm sure you understand that this is a pop video. if it was only (or mostly) Classical music the 100.000 (currently) views would be 10.000. I completely agree with you but it's the title that it's misleading.
You guys really are humanity's treasure
my piano teacher played this now i came back to video to add these to my playlists 💃
He played ALL OF THEM ?? Congratulations !
I’ve never watched a UA-cam twice in a row until this video! Beautiful.
When you see Scott Bradlee describe something he's about to play as "super challenging" - you know you better strap in for the ride!
P.S. I really want to see more piano duets. So much fun to play and watch.
Simply FABULOUS ! ! !

Hands down, this is one of my favorite things you have ever done. I am a fan of both of you men, and this was pure gold and pure joy! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
GREAT!!!
BRAVO!!! The only thing missing was a bow at the end!
What a delightful medley! A perfect way to get past the current fears and ennui. One point: "As Time Goes By" was written in 1931 for a Broadway show, "Everybody's Welcome" and a few artists in the 1930s recorded it. It's famous today from Dooley Wilson's performance in the 1942 movie "Casablanca", though it wasn't original to the film.
Bach?! ...You guys, your Channel AND this whole music type is ALWAYS going to be in style with some percentage of the population of Earth. God Bless.

Almost everyone one of these songs is a favourite of mine. Amazing.
Amazing - loved it! Would have loved it if you could have snuck in a bit of Queen. Greatest piano section - the cross hands part - instantly recognisable.

Incredible! Happy to know that I recognized almost every song from the video without looking for the names.
Incredible to watch and listen to, so much great music from piano
WOW - this is really stunning!!
Very good Performance great Sound
I liked the downward spirals of arpeggios in the Autumn Leaves arrangement - so very reminiscent of the falling leaves. But every piece played beautifully.
If you liked that, listen to winter wind. It's one of Chopin's etudes and that run is take from it : )
Amazing!
Brilliant 🤩 fun.
