Mmm
If you want to make these NOW & don’t have a donut cutter? You can also use a “rocks” glass for the donut & a shot glass for the hole. It works perfectly & I did this for years.
(I didn’t read all of the comments so if someone else said the same? Great minds!)
🍩 Another awesome video! Thanks! ☕️
Omg
Thanks.
Tks
Thanks
That’s what I do!
At Krispy Kreme we use water for our glaze!! There for we get the clear coat of glaze to see the beautifully fried doughnut underneath!😊
Yes me too
Thanks for the information
Ommmggggg nooooo waaayyyyy u work at krispy kreme??????😮😮😮❤❤❤
Dear KK employee. I relocated from a capitol city with a KK 15 min away to a city with KK over 4 hours away. Your recipe please?????? Another state actually
@@punkinsmith4764you’re askin the right questions
North Miami Beach Florida on 163rd Street I'd sit in my car and wait for that light to turn on for fresh hot glazed donuts. Now I live in a town it's never heard of Krispy Kreme thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this recipe I can make them whenever I want now. 🤟❤️
lol! I use to go to the same Krispy Kreme. I live in central Florida now everything is so far. I will try to make my own donuts this weekend.
OMG!!! just finished making these and they're absolute fire!!!!!! everyone was going nuts from how much of a replica these are! I live in canada so the closest one to me is 4hours away. Thank you so much for another great recipe by you I have used.
I live in BC and have a Krispy Kreme about 20 minutes away from me and it's in Canada
I use to work at Winchell's donuts. They used wood sticks to flip the donuts in the oil, to take them out, and also during glazing. I use chopsticks at home. Works brilliantly ;-)
Same at my grandfather's bakery for flipping. For taking them out the whole fryer had wire grates that lifted out and you put an empty one back in.
But why do you want to glaze rice?
This looks delicious 😋 and fresh..thank you for all your cooking tips 😋 👍🏾🤗💕
My grandfather used a little stick about 6 inches and never got burned. I used one about a foot long and would have blisters every time...RIP Pop.
@Theresa Evans Lol Winchell's,, you goin way back!! Loved Winchell's back in the day!! 👍🏽
Dust your doughnut cutter with a little flour and your dough won’t stick to it. Great recipe!
I actually made this recipe and I filled mine with custard, dipped some in Thin vanilla and chocolate icing. Today I came back to follow the recipe again for Glazed and jelly filled donuts. Thanks you helped me become famous with the husbands job.
That's what's up! 💯 I appreciate that 🔥 🙏 💯
Gotta try they closed all Krispy Kreme in my state
Cheat Treat Day is On! Yes ma'am, thank you both.
That’s really cool
@@sheeribruce1215😅
Here's a little TIP from my kitchen-to-yours: When working with flipping Doughnuts...try using a wooden or heat-resistant CHOPSTICK! Simply insert in the DONUT HOLE and the Donut will gravitate to it, THEN FLIP it over (this will save you from having to use TWO utensils to get the job done! ;-D It's also easy to take them out of the hot oil when utilizing the CHOPSTICK.
Additionally, if you have a clean coffee mug holder...it's great for hanging your donuts on, this helps prevent the oil from making them too "heavy & greasy"...and since the coffee cup/mug rack is VERTICLE it doesn't take up a lot of precious space when you're making a lot of Donuts! We tend to use GRAPESEED OIL due to the way it cooks yeast-risen dough, but, Vegetable is also great, along with canola oil.
Usually, we prefer to use the GRAPESEED OIL when deep frying pastries such as CROINUTS (Croissant-Doughnut hybrid)! lol
You can also place the Doughnuts back onto the coffee cup/mug rack after dipping them in the glaze. It helps to "evenly" coat them (on both sides at ONE TIME! *JUST BE SURE TO PLACE A PIECE OF PARCHMENT or WAX PAPER underneath to catch any access icing or delicate sanding sugar & Cinnamon, Vanilla Powder (sugar), etc.
Chef, If you are getting that PALE yellowish-white RING around your doughnuts...then you have MASTERED doughnut making! That is what we LOOK for in a properly fried Doughnut.😀
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe... and REMINDING the viewers about the IMPORTANCE of letting that yeast bloom! EXCELLENT TIP, CHEF!!!
YOU SUPER ROCK IN THE KITCHEN!!! ;-D Bon Appetit!- Retired Bakers & Confectioners of Yesterday DAYS OF 'OLE
Chopsticks are great for donuts. Had to make a bunch for a church bake sale and that’s what i used.
Back in 2004 I hired on to a welding shop. When I went to my first shop safety meeting I commented on the lack of donuts. Safety director asked what the H does a donut have to do with safety. I replied, with the wages this place pays, it's pretty hard to concentrate on safety when all you can think about is where your next donut is coming from.
Next meeting we all had Krispy Kreme donuts.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤟
Lol did they laugh at least
Lol if that happened today you’d probably be fired on the spot, or at least marked down for it. Good on you for getting everybody donuts though. 💪
😂 I vote u for president
i dont get it someone explain
I have tried many of your recipes, they've all turned out great. I love watching you cook.🙂

When it comes to water for your yeast...you don't need a thermometer. Play with the faucet til you've got the temp of a nice, warm bath for a baby. Learned this working at a bakery and its never failed in the 20 years since
I love that he learns from his followers too about the eggs. He learns from us and we learn from him 😊😊😊!
Agreed. It shows you a person who is willing to grow and learn!
Just made these! They were amazing. For years I’ve made traditional “cake” donuts, but these fluffy raise donuts will forever rival my old recipe.
Were they 'melt in your mouth'? I don't like cake doughnuts.
@@lesliestuckel7969 These ones are very close to the consistency of real Krispy Kremes. They are not at all like a "cake donut."
I missing the recipe I’m blind how I’m I going to try these when you haven’t given out the best recipe ever

These look good!!!◇88
As someone who suffers from lacking a Krispy Kreme in my area, this recipe is a blessing. 🤤
One tip for you: If you need to mix something in a bowl but don't have any free hands, wrap the bowl in a wet dish towel to keep the bowl from moving
Awesome pro tip!
3:09, I noticed that sometimes the dough hook takes a little bit longer to gather all the dry ingredients with the wet ones plus the dough hook doesn’t get the dry ingredients that climbs to the sides of the bowl, (it happens to me a lot) I like to start with the flat beater to mix them together and then, I switch over to the dough hook.
Just a tip to help the mixer get the job done.
Hey, AB! If you want to get a cleaner cut for your donuts, flour your cutter like with biscuits. Just make a little pile of flour on your cutting board and put the cutter into the flour before you cut out your donuts. Thank you so much for sharing sharing your donut recipe. They look so good.
I think using all-purpose flour rather than bread flour would also help
@@ArtStoneUS No. The bread flour is the better choice for this recipe.
@@watthaile2053 you’re certainly entitled to your opinion!
@@watthaile2053. Is it because it has higher protein and gluten content?
I make these as well. I like to add about a teaspoon or two of freshly grated nutmeg to the flour. If you're going for a cinnamon and sugar coating instead of the glaze then adding a nice teaspoon of both nutmeg and cinnamon to the flour gives them a really nice extra taste :-)
And vanilla - especially in the frosting.
Pro tip: use a cast iron pot and spoon oil over the top before you flip, that way you only need a very short time on each side and their nice & doughy.
I always add a bit of vanilla extract to my glaze. I’m definitely going to try these! Thanks for sharing your recipe. And I like milk with my donuts, too.😁🥰
I love Krispy Creme Donuts! 🍩 Yours with the lighter glaze looks just like them! I can't wait to make this recipe! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Make a salad
I don't understand the popularity of Krispy Creme. They came to my town and couldn't compete with the local doughnut shops. They closed up in a few months. If you have a Mom & Pop shop in your town, give them a try.
@@armadillotoe. For some people, it’s got to be Krispy Kreme. It’s kind of like colas for people- they have a strong preference for Pepsi or Coca-Cola. I can’t tell the difference. I think I must be missing taste buds! 😊

AB - First off, I absolutely love your videos! Secondly, I never cooked before I started watching your channel, and now with the recipes you show, my family think I'm a cooking wizard 🤣.🤣I know my 3 girls will love me even more when I can make them these doughnuts! Thank you from Scotland UK and keep up the good work.
I used my friend's mixer/shaker metal top to make my doughnuts. It was perfect for both the doughnut and doughnut hole! These doughnuts turned out great and was super easy to make. I ended up making a lemon vanilla icing (lemon zest, vanilla extract) , a chocolate icing (using about a tablespoon of cocoa powder) and I made a raspberry filling but used it as a dip since I don't own piping bags/tips. They were a hit with my roommates! Gone in about 10 minutes!
A tip for icing/piping from a broke ass would-be home baker: if you have any ziplock/freezer bags you can shove your mixture into one of the bottom corners off the bag (just turn the bag diagonally), then cut the tip off.
Finally somebody that explains The yeast process. I love the way you explain step-by-step. I can’t wait to try this. Thank you so much
This reminds me 35 years ago living in the projects we use to make em with biscuits and granulated sugar. That looked so good. Gotta try that with my grandkids 🥰

I love making any kind of yeast dough. Doughnuts are definitely a favorite. Looks easy and delicious & the yeast is important to getting a good dough. I’m wondering if this would make a good fried dough as well. I don’t have a dough cutter but a glass works good too. Then for donut holes, an empty pill bottle (washed throughly) works good…love your recipes & love watching a man bake & cook. Your wife is blessed 😋
I never had these doughnuts before but now I can make them thank you AB 🥰
All donut dough needs a pinch of nutmeg. 🥰
And some vanilla in the glaze

This sounds really good. The only thing is Krispy Kreme donuts have always tasted like an air filled sugar shell to me. These look like real donuts, and I can't wait to try them.

I hate Krispy Kreme donuts because they're way too damn sweet. It's disgusting.
"this right here is the whole rising. Without this, you won't have nothing"... That's a sermon right there💕👏🏾
Brought back memories of my childhood back in the fifties. Mom was always making home made bread. Sometimes she'd make extra dough. Back then mom had a biscuit cutter but it had a doughnut insert that twisted into the biscuit cutter. We'd cut the doughnuts out of the bread dough and fry them. Then while they were still hot we'd sprinkle sugar over them. I don't know if glazed doughnuts even existed back then but I'd never seen one. These were one of my favorite treats.
Made my mouth water lol. Just got a new stand mixer and this will be my first project!! Thank you for such clear instructions!!
Wow. Looks delicious and easier than one might think! Thanks for this sweet video. First time watcher, and now a subscriber!!

I love trying copy cat recipes and making restaurant stuff at home. My family’s diet needs can be pretty strict, so these make me and family’s day! Side note, Krispy Kreme was my grandfather’s favorite! I remember him taking me to the store as a kid!
Thanks for all of your effort!
I am so going to make these!! Love your show!
Thanks for the recipe.
I added vanilla extract to my glaze. You can add orange extract, or run extract, or teaberry extract, any extract.
PS: don't worry about using milk. Warm water makes absolutely perfect donuts. And anytime you're using yeast to make bread product you can always exchange the milk for water if the recipe says milk and you don't want to use up your milk, or you don't have any milk on hand at the moment, then use warm water it will work out absolutely gorgeous!

That was an incredible doughnut baking demonstration, thanks.
Glad you liked it and Thank you :)
Sometimes, when you first dump out the dough ball after that first rise, you'll have an easier time rolling the dough out if you let it rest for a few minutes. It won't give you so many issues trying to shrink back. I bake a lot of bread and always let my dough rest on the counter after dumping it out after the final proof before rolling it out for the bread pan.
Love Krispy Kreme donuts, warm off the conveyor! My kids used to love it when I would get them out of bed and take them to our local Krispy Kreme for the 11:00 pm run! I took them in their pj's! (Of course, this was only when there was no school the next day.) Thanks for sharing!!
