Please don't think I'm correcting you because I'm not. I'm sharing some info with you and everyone else. There is one thing missing that will keep the cinnamon rolls soft . Pour 1 cup of heavy cream over the cinnamon rolls right before you put them in the oven. It sounds messy and weird but it works. People love my cinnamon rolls and the heavy cream is the only thing I do differently. This is a secret that I don't share but am happy to share it with you and those who read my post. Love your channel AB. I forgot to mention the cream needs to be room temperature to barely above room temperature. Do not pour cold cream over the cinnamon rolls.

I love me some Cinnabons I remember when they first came out back in the 80's your looks amazing nice and fluffy, just a little tidbit when you make your icing cream you butter and cream cheese first for a few minutes then add your extract and your sugar should be last until you get the consistency. If you do everything together all at once it will eventually come together, but you will have to work at it longer to get all the lumps, and thickness out, and that's why the creaming process is helpful to keep that from happening ☺
Good job! For your dough, after you make your dough, grease the glass bowl with oil, put the ball of dough in there then cover with plastic wrap, let rise in the oven for an hour. THEN, make your rolls with the cinnamon, cut them into individual rolls. Then put them in your baking pan or in this case cast iron pan and let rise AGAIN for another 1 hour, cover them with a kitchen towel. Yup! They get even bigger and softer. I made three different cinnamon roll recipes and this technique made the best set of rolls. Also, try bread flour if you really want that Cinnabon quality roll. 😆
@@EmmaDee any brand of bread flour will work, just regular white flour, but bread flour which apparently has more gluten. The label will say Bread Flour. I personally prefer the breadflour, its gives a better result in my opinion.
I just made these and they are sooooo good. My granddaughter is dancing all over the kitchen. AB is the best. His video's are so clear and even someone that can't cook can make anything he presents. Wishing you the best to you AB.

I made these. I put butter on the Bottom of a glass rectangular baking dish. I lined the dish with parchment. I baked them 20 minutes, then rotated the pan. Cooked an additional 10 minutes. I iced them while hot out the oven. So good, Thank God. Thank You AB so very much. I’ve studied so many recipes, this recipe is flawless.
Wow AB these are the truth. I have tried so many times to get my dough to rise and never had luck. With heating my oven to 200 degrees F and then putting the dough in there to rise was perfect. They came out great. Thanks for your content.
I do make cinnamon rolls. The recipe I follow is a few more steps than what you have. Yours definitely simplifies the process. I like to make them at night put it in the refrigerator overnight and then bake them in the morning so that the house is smelling divine when the grandkids and my wife get up. They wake to the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls and cinnamon and sugar and butter. It doesn't get any better than that LOL 😆. Great video man!!

Can't wait to try your recipe. My grandmother used to make what we called ringalings. A sweet yeast dough with orange zest, brown sugar/butter/chopped walnuts twisted into a pretzel-like shape. She always made them on a rainy or misty day, saying she gotta a "better do" on them. I didn't argue. They were glazed with powdered sugar and a little milk. Absolutely delicious.

I have made this same recipe for several years almost identical to yours. Everyone loves them especially round Christmas time. We do have a lot of Pecan trees around our house, so I usually sprinkle crushed pecans on top of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture prior to rolling up and then on top after the glaze has melted down a little! Finally, an intelligent demo that makes sense, is easy to follow and doesn’t leave key steps out. The only difference I’d suggest is adding about a half teaspoon of nutmeg to the cinnamon, brown sugar mixer. And a teaspoon of lemon juice to the frosting mix.
I like seeing all the tools you are using. I have a lot of the same things in my kitchen. I never thought to use my small whisk to mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Looks great. I made this recipe before, and it turned out great. I added raisins, and used a vanilla French cream frosting that I make, and it was amazing. You can never go wrong with cinnamon rolls. That is one of my favorite desserts.

So I continued making the dough. Did not rise. But still spread it out and copied you exactly and baked it. 20 min later it turned out perfect and tasted great. It rose in the pan. Love cinnamon rolls, actually I guess technically they are called sticky buns with the sugar and pecan topping w/o the frosting, my great gma used to make homemade what he called cinnamon rolls... they were so good, I wish I would have learned how to make them, miss her and them.. make those memories in the kitchen n keep passing down knowledge with their tips n tricks.

Made these yesterday and I must admit I did a pretty good job. My first thought was "Cinnabon who?" Luckily the mistakes I made could be fixed like I forgot to add the margarine to the wet ingredients so I added in the mixer during the kneading process. Plus, I really like that I can use margarine. Will definitely make these again
Let you in on a Cinnabon secret. Put you butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, white sugar in the mixer and mix it all together, then smear it on the rolled out dough like cake icing . "Cinnabon does this with there's and it comes in a bucket the stores." It also keeps dry ingredients fall out when you cut it in to individual roles. Love the videos coming AB! Great stuff!

One of the recipes out there pours a half cup of heavy whipping cream over the rolls just before popping them into the oven. AWESOME result.

Made these yesterday and I must admit I did a pretty good job. My first thought was "Cinnabon who?" Luckily the mistakes I made could be fixed like I forgot to add the margarine to the wet ingredients so I added in the mixer during the kneading process. Plus, I really like that I can use margarine. Will definitely make these again

Let you in on a Cinnabon secret. Put you butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, white sugar in the mixer and mix it all together, then smear it on the rolled out dough like cake icing . "Cinnabon does this with there's and it comes in a bucket the stores." It also keeps dry ingredients fall out when you cut it in to individual roles. Love the videos coming AB! Great stuff!
