Eh, I disagree. Flying is her work. I know of people (like my father) who used to actually fly to work every weekend. His company (a bank) would fly him out to branches all across the country.
I don't get why that strikes y'all so funny! You guys don't realize that he knows who he is working with on that flight... even if she has never worked with that Captain before. She behaved very professionally! 💗
Thanks flight attendants for keeping us safe. I don’t like to fly and struggle with bad flight anxiety. I heard the pilot tell us one flight before takeoff of the turbulence anticipated and I put my head down and started silently crying. I had a flight attendant discreetly hand me a tissue to wipe my tears away. Thank u
My mom works for Delta and sometimes she works the flight i’m on. Its really fun because I can see her in work mode and she lets me make my own food in the back of the plane lol
It's not like in the movies at all. There are exceptions but drinking on a layover is a good way to be removed from the flight and at least lose you're FAA Certification and most likely you're job. FAA has very stringent rules and regulations for flight attendants and pilots which result in SERIOUS consequences for failing to adhere to them.
something I’ve noticed is many family members and friends I know that are related to or are flight attendants or pilots are very distant from their families and have a constant lifestyle of going different places that they tend to lose their connection with their family members. It’s a sad part about their job. I couldn’t imagine missing my sons birthday. For work. They are strong people
This is very true and something that should be deeply considered if you want to start a family and are considering becoming a flight attendant. If you do decide to do it, just know that a great deal of planning and effort will have to be made to maintain a healthy, affectionate relationship with not just your child, but also your spouse.
@steve b yup that's all.. one day when you have a medical emergency on board, or an irate passenger, or a fire or have to evacuate I'd like to see you handle yourself :))
steve b No, I am not. That is maximum pay if you work there for about 15yrs. Depends on the airline, of course. You don't have to believe me, but it's true. lol
the flight attendant really does look very well groomed. just the way her makeup is on point and the way she styles her hair in a bun with like a glossy sheen in her hair, the way the uniforms are fresh looking and ironed, the way they are tailored and not wrinkled, and the polish of her shoes. I think she looks like she invests a lot of time to look sharp and well groomed which is great. delta seems like they do put a lot of thought into presentation and looking a bit more upscale which is awesome. so many airlines look so mousy, run down, dingy, and dated, but this lady really does make me want to fly delta because of presentation
These flight attendants look all happy and smiling. When I fly, which I do a moderate amount, I get the feeling the flight attendants consider passengers the enemy, myself included, even though I did nothing but obediently sit in my seat and be quiet. This is especially true on United. Delta, I haven't flown much, but they don't seem much happier.
Once I took AA from Shanghai to Dallas and one of the flight attendant treated every passengers really bad like we own her money. This video is a lie...
Fly delta more often. I've honestly had great service whenever I've flown them. Their flight attendants are always pleasant. It's their gate agents I can't stand......
The two things I want to say from reading the comments are: The "dings": these are signals from the flight deck to the cabin that signal phases of flight. Take-off altitude, sterile cockpit, final approach, and landing. They are all different codes. Second, "waitress in the sky": Flight attendants are not trained in restaurant work. The perspective of the passengers is that they serve drinks and snacks because they don't see what else goes on. That is just temporary provision these days for the passenger to have something to eat but we don't prepare food, cook food, know bartending, etc. Most of the training is in federal regulations, company policy, aircraft familiarity, emergency evacuations and medical/first-aid.
As a former flight attendant I can tell you that certainly there are aspects which make it a great job. You are not stuck sitting in a cubicle in an office, you work with some great co-workers and every day is different. You are in different cities on a daily basis. I had long layovers from time to time in L.A. and San Francisco, which were fun because you could actually spend the day sightseeing or whatever and the airline paid for it. But there are other days which are very difficult. If you have delays, diversions, bad weather and turbulence, difficult and irate passengers, not so much fun. It's really a mixed bag.
Dream different. This job is not what it looks like. Save your money and travel on your own because as a Flight Attendant you rarely enjoy the layovers. Your body goes through the ringer by the time you arrive to your destination. You’re welcome

What about dead heading between trips is that paid? Any night differential after a certain time? If your 3 days on and 3 days off per week or even 2 days off how many hours per week do you get paid and do you get paid bi weekly or weekly. I think it is fair to explain how much hustle goes into each week and what a check looks like. Nice video 👍

And in the US they're only paid from chocks to chocks so all the pre and post-flight stuff is done for no pay. Ridiculous!
Regardless of your specific job duties, when you wear the uniform of your airline, you are expected to be all things to all people! If you're not prepared for that when seeking employment, look for other work. It can be a great career! 🙂
2:00 tilt the glass sideways it helps reduce the fiz :)
Now, show us the non PR video. My Neighbor works for Qantas (he's based out of Auckland, New Zealand) and says for half the part it's a great job, but the other half is dealing with Passengers that don't listen to ANYTHING, dealing with Drunk Passengers & those Entitled Passengers who demand that they are served before everyone else. 🙄🙄🙄
UNSC INFINITY it’s a tough job
What A Incredible Personality You Have And What A Out Look You Have. Good 👍 For You! Take A Flight ✈️ For Me 🥰!
Did anyone notice she uses window phone in 2018.
i have a question: is being a flight attendant at delta airlines stable? do you get fired easily?
OMG! They actually have food on the flight. That’s a relic I haven’t seen in a long time, lol!
Not since the mid 70's
I feel like some of the older flight attendants totally hate their job and all of their passengers
Didn't mention that they only get paid when the doors are closed, not when they are helping passengers board and deboard the plane!
I was a cabin crew. And my life was exactly the same
mariah farzana how was it? was it very tiring? I’m also looking forward to work as a cabin crew
Yes! I love this job. It’s the best!
I fly 15 times a year and have been very unimpressed by Delta flight attendants lately. Not sure what the problem is, but they clearly hate their jobs and need to find something they like.
Waow, being a flight attendant looks really fun
"Let's use a fake airline. Let's call them Delta Airlines!-"
😂😂😂😂
What?
When do you start dragging people off the plane
2:11 wow .. “classy” way to plate 😂😂
Ok but why is Delta around $125 to $214 higher than United and American?
We fly with delta and we love it because everyone is so nice
