I am 50 years old now i wanted to go back to this game since i never finished it in the arcade back in the day and now seeing this i have no hope, this was tremendous game play very well done sir ......
I really like the presentation of this one. Vague, simplistic story, stylish music, sound effects, and graphics. It also seems really satisfying to collect all the medals your enemies drop. Helps to slightly differentiate the game from others like it, too.
I just started playing this and yeah, it really is satisfying. Especially when you activate your shield and smash into enemies. The sound effects are top notch in this one and really add to the experience.
25:30 Absolutely insane to dodge them all, you're the best shoot'n up gamer I've ever seen, holy cow! You hit 10 TRILLION points, unbelievable. I will save this video in my favorites.
Use to play this constantly back in 2000-2001. My friend and I would challenge ourselves by only playing with one quarter and beating the game. Then we would change planes and beat it with different pilots. Great classic top shooter. I think you get to the final final final boss by not dying once but I can't remember exactly how to trigger it, it's been too long.
@@Evan_Makeba Wow, you actually replied after 8 years, nice. Anyways, I don't think this needs a HD remake. It's good on its own. But yeah, if they are gonna release it anyways, improved visuals wouldn't hurt, as long as they keep the same style.
The music in the first level is so awesome (not that you can hear it much under all the explosions haha). Loved this game on Dreamcast, and it's sequel. Would love to see a Mars Matrix LP sometime.
I can't remember exactly what the stipulation was to get to the secret final boss. Was it like, beat everything without using a continue or something like that?
@@serraramayfield9230 its probably a very experienced player, a lot of the bomb drops and bullet deflections seemed like the guy was genuinely clenching at those moments
Wow I used to play this game a ton ad somehow never seen the final fight with the medalion and that black fighter. The game used to end after the heart fight
+beefcurtainz69 I know its been some time and the question is not for me, but they are quite similar, looks like giga wing was inspired by mars matrix, not to mention thet are both from capcom. I cab just say giga wing is just a newer version of mars matrix. they are both great.
Actually both were made by Takumi. Capcom just published the games (Both run on their CPS2 hardware). Also Mars Matrix is newer (even though it looks way worse), it's from 2000 while Gigawing is 1999.

Wow you very sharp eyes and reflexes. This is my favorite arcade game of the early 2000s.
They are using cheats.

@@sega-megadeth1276 nope, the world record of this game is around 270 trillion.
The fact there is no HD remake of this is a disgrace.

@@Vik1919 Good luck trying to find the staff of this company...it quietly faded away in the early 2010s.
This soundtrack is amazing!

I never had the enough skill to get to the secret final boss, but still, this is one of my favorite Shoot'em up's

Wow, 10 trillion points! Gotta love the overinflated scores!
爆発音が最高にいいね
I never wondered that the gold is to rise multiplier instead of doing upgrades for that I see the score has over 10 digits
Even with save states, there's still some mighty impressive bullet dodging going on here :)
I have both GigaWing 1 AND GigaWing 2 for Sega Dreamcast. They are both great.
I would have passed out trying to concentrate on the firepower coming my way. That was just amazing gameplay....
This dude is a cheater lmao

My favorite main character is Ruby, a perfect firepower

Wow!!! That was insane!!! Huge congratulations!!
I looked up GigaWing, and I found out that there are different endings, even for 2p co-op.

There's an extra life hack on 15:00
You shoot all the red orbs in the right and then shoot the blue orb in the middle
Best shooting game ever

The game (and its sequel) has the largest numerical scores in any video game.
Mars Matrix has been done a few days ago as Arcade Longplay 386, check the channel page of cubex55.
.....those are a lot of enemies on the screen at one time. Jesus!
So many pointless deaths, only minutes after she just killed 10,000 souls
Sinnosuke, Ruby, Isha and.... Stuck...
What's better 1 or 2??
Awesome hidden gem on PS4. Maybe someday Gigawing 2 could also get a release
Buenos días como descargo el juego
They should have renamed this game to Giga Points. What a ridiculous score! Ha ha!
Se podrá descargar esta joya para android
