Caveman Ninja by Data East Year in 1991 the player 2 Joe & Mac, two cavemen who fight against enemy cavemen and dinosaurs using projectile weapons. This was the best ending according to PatmanQC in his piece on this game. Joe and Mac get to be with their grateful cave babes, who want to show appreciation- and might want to make families with the two heroes :)
Just seen arcade 1 up is coming out with this on a burger time cabinet had to check out gameplay because I didn’t remember what this game even was lol , love these old games
To commerotate 15 years anniversary of 'WOL' (since December 2020, WOL accept users to livestreaming between according to UA-cam's schedule and Twitch (belong with WOL Twitchers)) DragonNinja's prequel 'Caveman Ninja' or widely known as in home ports 'Joe & Mac' : - Settings in prehistoric landscape (mixed between Cretaceous and Pleistocene) - Starred by 2 different colours in hair (Green for Joe & Blue for Mac) - Save the females entirely
The game stars the green haired Joe and the blue haired Mac,Caveman named Joe and Mac who battle through numerous prehistoric levels using weapons such as boomerangs, bones, fire, flints, electricity, stone wheels and clubs. The objective of the game is to rescue a group of women who were kidnappped by a rival tribe of cavemen. The game features a health system by which the player loses health over a period of time, apart from during boss battles. A two- player mode is available, and in some versions both characters are capable of damaging each other.
Kinda funny when a long play of a game is 20 mins, because today loads of people think a game don't have much value if it's less than 10 hours. Most games were short in 1980's and 90's.
Every time i played this game in a different arcade, every machine had a different rinda glitch. In this case, 12:26, dude what Did happen? In other games, some monsters did not appear at all. Music was very variable. Despite all of this, was a super arcade game!
Sure were a lot of caveman games in the late 80's-early 90's. This game, Bonk's Adventure, Chuck Rock... I had Chuck Rock for the Genesis, it was pretty fun, especially the Ice Age level.
Beat this on the Nintendo Switch. The arcade port is much more challenging than the SNES version I'm more familiar with, but I liked that it was more Cuphead like boss rush style vs. the Super Mario like platformer that it was on the SNES. Both have good and bad things, the arcade port could get quite unfair at parts, while the SNES port is sometimes too easy, has been censored and doesn't have certain things like specific weapons, the powering up ability or splitting paths. Both are good games.
Dunno, but I enjoyed more the SNES version. Had greater variety of bosses, items, a stage map, the stages were way longer, and the devil as the final boss was more difficult. Only regret is the lack of the supercharged attack, but still was a great game.
BTW, what's with that odd obsession with cavemen games back then? I know Dinosaurs were the thing in the early 90's, but there was Joe&Mac, Chuck Rock, Bonker's Adventure, etc?
I played this in the arcade, and I don't remember half of this. I am sure it's the same game because I do remember the final boss had a heart you could attack, and the 3 choice ending is familiar.
For the time being, this is as close as we'll be playing Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja on Switch since the Switch Online SNES service doesn't have it yet... : (
You should have kept the electric weapon: it's the most powerful and the only one that can go.through multiple enemies. It's also the best boss killer, as it can deal damage even during "invincible" attacks.
So sorry for your loss 😢
Ahh yes.. the game that I've been looking for.. I used to watch this since when I was young! I really loved dinasours back then

Joe and Mac are lucky.
God, your cringe AF.
A great tribute to DragonNinja. Love the three endings. Joe & Mac were the most intelligent of the tribe.
This Game came to the Super NES as "Joe & Mac".
But in the arcade it was "Caveman Ninja".
Yes
The genesis version is more accurate to the arcade version
Just seen arcade 1 up is coming out with this on a burger time cabinet had to check out gameplay because I didn’t remember what this game even was lol , love these old games
i remember watching this as a 5 or 6 years old it’s been so long ;-;
3:17 Isn't that Audrey II from the _Little Shop of Horrors_ movie?
Yea🤣🤣
Good times I watched this channel several times.

This game was in every arcade in mexico in the 90s.
Is it me, or the levels in this game are very short? It feels like most are like two screens before the boss.
Yeah, I love that about it. It's more of a boss rush game than anything.
This game came to the Super NES, PC, NES, Game Boy, and the Sega Genesis as "Joe & Mac", some of which drop the name "Caveman Ninja".
Wanna play this again in its original cabinet then check out the galloping ghost arcade near Chicago Illinois...
They run because is dead penalty by Snu Snu.
@davinatorskll it's just an idea
You may actually be right about that! Even if this isn't Futurama!
(Though that's exactly how I learned about SNU SNU!)
If those rival cavemen, dinosaurs, and the other creatures don't take 'em down, those chicks will if they get caught.
😭😂👍
What did you do to the game to mess up the music THIS badly?
Just got this on the Nintendo switch, it's good but hard as hell. I could see this game consuming a lot of Quarters in the Arcades.

The were a lot more carnivorous sauropods then I thought.

Games in the 1980s and 90s had less content, but were often more difficult, so you still had to play them a lot to beat them.
old games were pretty hard
Mac: Why we run away??????
Joe: They want to be the mothers of our sons!
Mac: RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luis Reyes in spades
Adrian Fabbri Child support was high even back THEN!
I actually prefer the music of the SNES version. Something about this arcade version just seems odd.
uesjsu
More like emulation problems, the music gets slow down and off beat way too frequently.
If the game were realeased today, just with the intro, instant ban! hahaha classic!
So true!
just released on steam
-ow shit man, until the present day I don´t know how do that Jet up. and it is a crazy already.

There's a surprising amount of hentai vibes in this game.
The funniest part was starting the fire when you threw the fire ball on the shining floor below in the lava level. Sad you didn't do it.
I had the original jamma pcb for this game, the music is messed up.
Great! You've done it.
Steve Airport You gored an innocent animal!

I remember this on an arcade cabinet in an old pizza place I went to when I was 8.
Where's Betty Rubble and Wilma Flintstone? Woulda been a great cameo!
From the company that gives you random good and bad games
Rival turf? Good or bad?
Nehemiah Pouncey

-Karnov

This game looks so fun but this wasn't in the arcade I went to unfortunately😒
What was up with the volcano stage up around 12:50?
Dunno, but I enjoyed more the SNES version. Had greater variety of bosses, items, a stage map, the stages were way longer, and the devil as the final boss was more difficult. Only regret is the lack of the supercharged attack, but still was a great game.
Guess they didn’t add supercharged attacks because of limitations to the SNES version of the game.
Saw it first on JonTron and seeing it here now, awesome :D
i kinda wanna know what there was in the other routes...
The music always reminded me of the Rug Rats theme
