- Welcome to beautiful Sedona, Arizona. In this cinematic travel guide, we explore everything this amazing mountain desert town has to offer.
Spend your first day orienting yourself by exploring the many shops of Uptown Sedona. After lunch, head to Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village in the south of the town and pick up some truly amazing original art from one of the many local artisans. For dinner, make a reservation at any one of the amazing restaurants run by Lisa Dahl. Or head on over to the SaltRock Southwest Kitchen for amazing spins on southwest dishes.
Head out of Sedona proper the following morning to explore the rest of the Verde Valley. Just 30 minutes away are the wonderfully preserved Native American sites of Tuzigoot and Montezuma’s Castle National Monuments. Learn about the rich history of the area and marvel at the ancient architecture.
You can’t visit Sedona and not spend time in the amazing outdoors. On your third day, take on the challenging climb of Cathedral Rock for unmatched views of the Verde Valley. At the base of the rock formations is a purported energy vortex. Finish out the day by visiting the Amitabha Stupa and the Chapel of the Holy Cross to fully experience the breadth of spirituality in Sedona.
Regardless of how you spend your time, you are sure to have a fabulous time in this fabulous region of northern Arizona.
