The most beautiful place in the world! Went there in April 2023 for Semana Santa, going again in May 2024 and then again in September 2024. You just try and keep me away from it!!
If any of you get the chance to go to Granada (or Sevilla or Córdoba) then try and go during Semana Santa - you will not regret it).
Yes, book your tickets for the Alhambra and Generalife before you go - essentail in my opinion. I could spend all day every day in the Alhambra and Generalife, all Day! Just feel the essence of Andalusia in all of its glory. Take lots of bottled water with you (and a hat). Love everything you see, smell and touch. It is stunning in every respect.

I will be Spain in march this year, for a month. I wish it was longer. I was planning to explore much of southern Spain, but now, after watching your fantastic video, I may just spend the whole month in Grenada.

Awesome! Thanks for watching, appreciate the kind words. Granada is incredible, that's for sure. Though - sneak peek - we also went to Ronda, which was an equally fascinating town. Look for that episode dropping soon - I'll try to get it up before your trip so you can check it out.

@@NomadicBard ah yes. Ronda. Definitely on my list of must see places, on this trip. I will eagerly await your video.

What a beautiful video. What’s the background music at the 21 min mark?

Hi! We actually write all of our own music for each episode. We sample the sounds of the city and mix it into something unique and original. Glad you like it!

Umm... "duende" (also "mohanes" in our more rural/indigenous locale) is like "elf"... or leprachaun, or goblin. So... "Trying to get a little duende" might be interpreted as getting a little "elf tail" (if you get my drift).

The word has two definitions, from my understanding - the 'duende' that I'm talking about is a word from Andalusia that represents the passion of flamenco and the culture of southern Spain. It's derived from the older meaning of the word that you're referencing. But thanks for watching!

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duende_(art) You can read more about it here. It's an interesting linguistic story.
