- This video is an overview of this process. All the software in this video has a steep learning curve. You will need to learn more techniques to be proficient in this process. There are also other ways to do what I am doing here. If you have a quicker or easier method that is fine.

Thanks for such an informative video! I have been contemplating a low to moderate priced 3d printer for a while, and have gotten more serious just lately. This information is such perfect timing for me, I thank Jesus for that, as He knows all, and will lead us in the right direction when we ask in faith. You do this instruction well, Steve! Thanks!!!
Wow ! I've been trying unsuccessfully to do this same task by tracing directly into FreeCAD. You have just taught me enough to climb up much higher on the 3D printing ladder. Thanks so much Steve !! Take care. -Mike
Awesome. Just now seeing this.
Another great video 2day..sliding your pattern, a 3D woven basket, into InkScape then into another very powerful 3D program Blender as prep for another 3D program for ultimate manufacture of physical item made by your 3D printer resulting in a wax or plastic basket. Wow! That is a bunch of sophisticated software & 3D printing equipment. Yes, once a person purchases $$ these programs, then puts lots of time learning, experimenting/fine-tuning 3D printing...I wonder if just building your basket 'old school' method, cutting wood with ScrollSaw, might be faster...for 1 unit. So a hobbyist may not be inclined to take the plunge into this-advanced level- of creation; but production level, "manufacturing people' will surely want this info & appreciate all your efforts. Great video to encourage serious 'Scrollers' to take next step into manufacturing. Great information, thx!👍👍👍👏🪚😊
great video!!!
Nice walkthrough using free software that's really powerful... Sadly blender dropped support for windows 7 so...
Yes, I saw that. There are still a lot of Windows PCs running 7. The last I checked it was still in the 100 million range. Thanks for the kind words.
Hi Steve, I have only just discovered your Portrait pattern course. I realise it is from 2017, however it says no longer available. Do you have an updated version or can you suggest any other course I could get to learn how to do the portrait Pattons?? Thank you in advance, I love your work.
I recently purchased a Excalibur 21" Scroll saw can you please tell me we're you get you blades and what is your favorite
