FYI: There are "ways" to get higher dps by double casting certain skills etc. I did not include these in the video as they border exploits but, if you search in private discords of kins you will find out how to do those things.
There's no reason why it should be a secret/guarded info. If it's in the game, do it. If it shouldn't be in the game, they should patch it. Skilled players should share all the knowledge possible, and then we see who the best are with everything as equal as possible. It's often the case that the "best" are hiding knowledge to remain the "best" because once others know it, it levels out the playing field. Anyway, I've met some players who actively look for these 'tricks' or 'exploits' all in order to do this...years ago, when the game was more popular. When they weren't banned, they were good players, but sore losers. Once other good players found out what they were doing, they conveniently avoided exposure.
@@Harry-hyl completely agree, in throne people used to try hide stance bugging and detraiting secrets. At least nowadays people are sharing more in Gynns discord and other raid discords but it's very hard for newer players to get this knowledge
Great video but I’m having trouble getting cry of the chorus to reset my anthems to get two up initially . It just doesn’t want to do it . Am I doing something wrong ?
Sorry for the late reply, tbh I been trying to get my lotro working again to check but I can't get the same setup. I watched that video on "advanced" gibberish and I just made a few basic ones. Sorry I know this doesn't really help
I enjoyed watching this video, I respect your take on most of the choices you have made. In the case of the bonus trait Concentration, which reduced attack duration by 10%: This is mostly worthless. As far as I know - and I would be happy to learn otherwise - attack duration only affects melee and ranged auto attacks. It has no effect on the speed at which skills are executed, the length of time skill animations require, and no effect at all on tactical skills. Now of course, this is a "free" trait and a Minstrel might do a small amount of melee damage via auto attack but outside of landscape questing it's fairly meaningless.
My champion has a skill that gives -20% attack duration. When I use it I notice that the champion's next skills become faster. That's why I think you're wrong.
@@ronangreco Respec your Minstrel and put some points in but not so many so as to get the attack duration bonus. Stand at a distance from a training dummy and see how many Piercing Cries you can get off in 3 minutes. Write that number down. Now allocate the rest of your points so you get the attack duration bonus. Run the test again. If you get roughly 10% more Piercing Cries than you did during the first test, then you’re right. But you won’t, because attack speed bonuses only apply to auto attacks. It does not shorten skill animations or cooldowns.
@@JohnMHammer So you're saying that the attack duration only affects the minstrel's automatic attacks, because as I told you before, the attack duration makes the champion's skills faster.
@@ronangreco The reduced attack duration/increased attack speed does not change the time required for each animation nor does it apply to the cooldown. So exactly how would it be making your Champion's SKILLS faster? It DOES apply to your Champion's auto attacks but that's it. There's no point in a YES-NO-YES-NO-YEEEEEESSSSSS argument. Run a test yourself, there's no need to take my word for it. Run a test with your Champion similar to what I described above. Use only the Blade Wall skill. Can you get 20% more Blade Walls in 3 minutes with the -20% attack duration trait than you can without the -20% attack duration trait? Please actually run the test and convince yourself one way or the other, you don't have to take my word for it. If the -20% attack duration applies to skill use in any way, you will notice that. Blade Wall has a 4 second cooldown. In 3 minutes you can do about 45 Blade Walls (I say "about" because a touch of lag or an imperfect keypress might reduce that by 1 or 2, or you might be able to sneak in an extra 1 or 2 due to client/server desync). If the -20% attack duration applies you will be able to do about 54 Blade Walls in the same 3 minutes. There will be no mistaking it, there won't be a difference of only a couple of extra, you'll get about 9 extra if the attack duration reduction actually applies. But it doesn't and the test will demonstrate that for you.
@@JohnMHammer Dude, I've already tested it and my champion launches skills much faster which reduces the attack duration. I've been playing champion for years and I've tried it so many times that I can't even count.
Id say close to weaver but when you want to hit top tier you need to double proc piercing cry on every hit. So if you have high latency like me its impossible to hit bench (playing from EU on US server) it's around 5 aps... So if you do a 20-40min boss fight, your wrists will hurt! Hahaha

Awesome intro to the spec. I would love a similar video for blue minstrel
I'm definitely making that next! I'm maining blue minstrel for our raid group. It's actually a lot better than most people think
Hi may i know what group vitals plugin you are using?
Great video but I’m having trouble getting cry of the chorus to reset my anthems to get two up initially . It just doesn’t want to do it . Am I doing something wrong ?
It needs to be traited to gain the reset. Specifically, you need 5 ranks in "Invigourating Anthems" in the yellow track.
Can you please provide the config code for Gibberish 3 for your notification setup?

Which race are you playing in the video?
Playing human. Because I play blue a lot I like the duty bound and 5% Inc heals. But I know high elf will probably squeeze a bit more DPS out.
