That polar bear enclosure is incredible. It should be the gold standard for all zoos.
My craziest encounter with an animal occurred in the Smokey Mountains. After a long day in the mountains my family had to drive back to our hotel. It was like 9 pm so it was around dusk. As we were driving in downtown Gatlinburg we all of a sudden almost hit this fully grown Male black bear running around downtown Gatlingburg
Literally Jaw Dropping! One of the best Zoo Exhibits in the World! North Carolina is an excellent zoo, just went last year and I can safely say it's a top 5 zoo in the States for sure!
My wildest is when I was bushwalking and almost stepped on a brown snake. For reference this is the second most venomous snake of all time.
Again Zoo Tours never fails to entertain and educate at the same time
I have wild crow buddies. They being me things, warn me of storms and follow me everywere.
I love ur zoo vids!
Your watching zoo tours (edited) the best and underrated channel on the UA-cam platform
I live in Asheboro myself, and the puffins have always been my favourite part of our zoo. They're such charming creatures!
I live in the UK so our wildlife isn't all that crazy. We do however have sparrowhawks. I remember taking my lunch outside when I was at work one Christmas day and a sparrowhawk flying towards me (Or my lunch) Talons first.. Needless to say I dropped my lunch and narrowly missed being clawed by the bird. I still like to look out for the local pair and give them a little nod or wave out of repect!
Super! Try visiting the Woodland Park Zoo soon cause' they welcomed a rescued orphan brown bear cub named Juniper there! Also, 4 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend, Zak....
1) What animal did Bearizona once have until removed due to winter times?
2) Where was Juniper the brown bear cub found as an orphan before she moved into her new home at the Woodland Park Zoo?
3) When did the San Diego Zoo's last 2 giant pandas moved back to China?
4) What aquatic animal did SeaWorld San Diego once have before being replaced by sea turtles?
After watching the previous two episodes and checking out your photos you definitely have convinced me to visit this place, for myself.
I had two "encounters" with wild brown bears in Alaska. I was at a salmon latter when I turned around and walked back up the trail to a different location. I looked out over the falls and where I was 30 seconds before, there was now a brown bear. On my way back to the car, it began to rain and I heard brush moving and chuffing and a few seconds later found a fresh bear trail where all the brush was matted down. Never encountered either animal but was close to it.
Beatyfull video! I love the Polar Bear! 🐻❄️
my favorite part about your channel is how you care about and cover indivisuals, like ronan!
My craziest wild animal encounter was when I was on the trail in the woods and a bear teenager ran down the hill not knowing I was there and it freaked the crap out of me
My wildest encounter was when I was walking down a trail and stopped to have a water break, but when I looked at the ground I was surprised to see a eastern rat-snake sniffing my shoe. (Probably though by shoe was a rat).
I defiantly need to go to this Zoo sometime in the near future, their Polar Bear habitats look so amazing, and I'd defiantly'd want to add the Auklet to my species life list! Also, thanks for the interesting facts on the Arctic Fox's fur, this is all new stuff for me!
As for my wildest encounter with an animal, two come to mind. One time in the Smokey Mountains, my family and I came across a young Black bear while hiking back down to our car. Once we passed by it, my Dad went back with his camera in hand, and the bear took off into the woods. The other was in Arkansas in a quarry like waterfall. As I was climbing along the steep slope, I heard a rattling sound from under the rock I was standing on and I thought "RATTLESNAKE!!!". And without thinking, I jumped off and thankfully landed onto the next rock without falling into the water. Now that was a close call.
Today I had a sighting of a few grey seals while visiting Cape Cod
next episode is Australia Adventure at the Cleveland Zoo
My wildest encounter with a wild animal is that suddenly while my daddy was driving the golf cart around our neighborhood lake I saw a flock Canadian geese walking down the rode in even saw one laying a egg ( great video)
My wildest encounter with a wild animal has to be getting a little too close for comfort with a bighorn sheep in Nevada. Love the videos. It would be awesome if you did a segment on the Dallas zoo. Keep up the great work.
Hi everyone,
Can I just say this was an awesome video it was both well edited and entertaining. I love this channel and I love seeing incredible animals for free!
Hey Zak, I know this response is coming much after the release, but was doing a second watch of these great videos, and towards the end where you teased the next Carolinian videos the editing implied the Black Bears would be included in the Prairie video, where imo I think they would fit better with the streamside animals, and also give that video a runtime boost. I don't mean to sound bossy as this is your channel, and you run it magnificently with some of the most entertaining and educational animal spotlights on the platform. :)
San Diego I saw a wild California mile deer
Alright. Subscribing to this channel. Been wanting to go to the zoo something fierce lately, haven't been in years. This will feed my addiction.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess next episode will be the Australia area at the Cleveland Zoo
My wildest encounter with a wild animal was coming across a Florida sandhill crane when going to get the mail and it wasn't scared of me.
My wildest encounter with a wild animal happened when we were driving through North Carolina actually, after dark. Three white tailed deer suddenly came barreling over the nearby hill , towards the car. My dad managed to stop the car to avoid hitting them, but I was sitting on the side they barreled in on and my leg was rested against the car door, and I FELT the metal of the door bend between me and the deer. Everyone was fine in the end, the deer all ran off, but I’m spooked to think what might have happened had the car door not been there. 😳
When I went to La Jolla and a bull sea lion just jumped into a little tide pool my name is the same as the seal
Wildest encounter was on Fraser Island walking along a beach and had a wild dingo come out and check us out
My wildest encounter was when a herd of elephants where passing by and we had to wait for 30 minutes for them to pass
My wildest encounter with a wild animal was when I had a run in with a stag when hiking a while back. It came out of nowhere and charged at me and my group members.
craziest wild animal encounter as in the animal was crazy - Galapagos Sea Lions, a trio of them joined me and my zoology class on a snorkeling excursion and they got really close, so close one of them managed to slap the diving mask off my face!
craziest wild animal encounter as in dangerous - While walking through the Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge in South Florida I wasn't paying attention as I went though the photos on my camera when I heard a growl and looked up to see a full grown Bobcat standing in front of me, we locked eyes and started at each other for a minute before he continued back into the forest/ rivaling that encounter was when I nearly stepped on a Fer-De-Lance in Costa Rica, however the snake was super chill and let me record it before it slithered off.
My wildest encounter was when an armadillo was on our driveway. The dog was barking at it. I heard armadillos could carry leprocy so I took a broom and shooed it to the nearby forest.
To confirm: it was a bald eagle in the exhibit before it was a peregrine falcon and now a porcupine.
Sadly, I'm in England and the amount of animals you see here is about 1 a week haha. I have no stories.
the wildest encounter I’ve had with a wild animal was with 2 mallards. I just got to feed them grapes and things
Love the vids
well, for me it was my first time seeing this animal, so when me and my family were heading back from a vacation, I looked under the boat and saw a snapping turtle swimming beside the boat
My craziest wild animal encounter was when I was 10 years old and it was the first time I left my home town in England called Yeovil and we went to Florida and I saw snapping turtles for the first time and we started feeding them then we weren’t looking one of the turtles came up to us behind our backs and stole our food 😭
In Rotterdam zoo they have big fish with the puffins this zoo needs to do that too.
We went on a forest walk there was a massive tree in the way then a herd of deers came and jumped over😊
A seal at the beach
Are you planning on going to John Ball Zoo?
I’ve had quite a few encounters with wild animals, being from The Natural State. However, there is one experience that I had with a wild animal not in Arkansas that I consider to be the wildest. It during a family reunion that we went to in Yellowstone in Idaho. I was walking along a trail in the woods with my family, and as I did, I looked up the hill to my left. I saw a shadow of something in between two trees. I don’t know how I knew this, but as soon as I saw it’s shadow, I knew it was a moose. And sure enough, when the shadow came down along the trail, it formed a young male moose
My wildest encounter was one time i found a baby turtle in my yard and my neighbor still keeps it as a pet
Yay rocky coast
Um..I can’t seem to find your Detroit zoo “Arctic circle of life” exhibit tour anymore. Are you planning on redoing it? Or redoing a full tour on the Polk penguin conservation center?
I encounter a kookaburra you landed on my shoulder and started screaming in my ear
Are you going to do a Shamu show seaworld tour?
I like African Animals besides Marine Animals and will you have a African Episode for the NC Zoo
Worst encounter I had with an animal that I had in the wild was with a deer...there was an area in a nearby reserve where the trail goes near some boulders and it was out of sight until I was right next to it around an area of a couple blind corners and it only had one way out and almost trampled me before dashing off.
Snapping turtle wanted to kill me
Once a wild fox took a shit right inside of my tent. Does this count as a wild encounter?
Can you do the Dallas Zoo next sometime?
when my parents and me where driving in the car a juvenile black bear ran across the road
Can you plz come to the Philadelphia zoo
My wildest encounters were 3 encounters which took place with an animal in 2019 and the 3 encounters were with the same animal and the animal was a bison and the first encounter happened on my first day in Yellowstone National park and what happened was me and my paternal grandfather pulled over and saw a bunch of people pulled over and we asked why everyone pulled over and the people said that their was bison and then I got within safe distance from bison and took some pictures the second encounter happened when the sun was setting on my first day in Yellowstone and what happened was as me and my paternal grandfather were leaving the park and when we got to where we pulled over the first time I saw what looked like smoke coming from near a river however when I got a tiny bit closer I realized that it wasn’t smoke instead it was dirt and the dirt was coming from a bison rubbing around in the dirt and I don’t remember when the third ecounter happened but me and my grandfather were riding together in my grandfathers Rusty old 1954 rat rod pickup truck called rustarado and we were on the main park road and we were driving up a hill and right when we reached the peak of the hill a bison came running down on the left side of the hill and the bison almost hit the front of the car but luckily it didn’t hit the truck.
Why did they get rid of the sea lions?
