This was the very section of the zoo that made me fall in love with Zoo Design. Just everything added up in here not only culminated in an overall immersive experience, but an incredibly educational one as well. And the best part? The fun never stopped. It just felt like a huge expose for North American wildlife and it was just an incredible experience. ZooTampa has to be the best zoo I've visited and it brought so much joy to see you show it off once again!
This is still my favorite of the ZooTampa Habitat. Looking forward to seeing the updates when they finish them next spring. As always, great job with the video! Looking forward to seeing where you take us next!!
Great job with this episode! I love this diverse collection! Trivia Answer: He got his name because he is a Cuban Iguana, and the Cuban sandwich is very popular in Florida.
I interned here for 6 months this year, right behind the Tomistoma and Key West area! I was probably there when you filmed this! This is my childhood local zoo and I love seeing how much care is put into these vids.
I’m happy to see you finally return to ZooTampa, was lucky enough to get to visit it over this years spring break, getting the chance to see the False Gharial, Manatees, and Florida Panther was such a great experience, I hope to visit again once the changes to Florida are done, I’m guessing the next section you’ll do a tour is is Primates
I went to the zoo, it was amazing! Unfortunately most of the Florida section was under construction at the time. The manatee exhibit was my personal favorite.
Hi my name is Nicholas Korea and I live in Central Florida in a small town called Winter Haven only two hours from Tampa and this is my local Zoo because it's the nearest zoo I am currently 10 years old and I always loved animals one of my biggest fascinations is the dinosaurs and another one that I just gotten into is army men so I am really excited for this video😊😊😊
Zuka-Zama!!! Also this is episode 103, eh! Also, visit the Woodland Park Zoo soon because it's the last few weeks there to see animatronic dinosaurs there, along with visiting the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, too! Leaping Velociraptor!🦕🦖
When zak said manatees are slow I laughed I swam with manatees in homasassa springs Florida and they out swam me! I’m a surfer lol. Love you zak I work at the Bronx zoo come visit!!!
I absolutely love your videos they both so informative and also give a good look at all zoos. One question though: How did you figure out the size of the exhibits? Through a website or something?
0:46 aint nobody told me that we got apes, gorillas, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, shoebill storks? jaguars, african painted dogs, african penguins, aldabra giant tortoises, galapagos giant tortoises, gharials, komodo dragons, malayan tapirs and tigers, hippopotamus, sun bears, and wallabies in Florida. *this is all a joke btw lol*
Since I hid most of my older, poorer quality videos, the numbers were removed to avoid confusion. This way I can also post a redo without a random number where it doesn't belong. The private videos can still be seen in the playlists.
In terms of the Florida area, the second half looks like it was recently renovated on a $10 budget. They took average exhibits and turned them into one's that you'd find in roadside zoos. The last time I was there, the red wolves were where the cranes were. Those are the only significant changes I can think of.
So apparently 12 stingrays died due to supersaturation. Yikes. Stingray touch pools are honestly pretty risky habitat to maintain because one malfunction can be equal to deaths of all of them in one go. John Ball Zoo, Calgary Zoo, and Brookfield Zoo learned this the hard way. Oh and did I see a sign "Do not feed or MOLEST the gators??" Whatever the f happened that made the zoo made that sign?
He didn't delete them; he put them as unlisted because he is planning on making redos of his earlier tours, and he is putting the original tours on the descriptions of these videos.
Zack i'm really sorry what i said in the comments of the last video i heard about your plan for your videos. I hope you can forgive me. and keep up the great work. Alex
Its amazing the care these animals get, yet flordia busses immigrants 1/2 way across the nation to democraticly ranbstates telling them they can find jobs there.

Love to see the zoo helping out manatees! Really like this whole exhibit. It’s awesome that a lot of these animals are rescues.
This is still my favorite of the ZooTampa Habitat. Looking forward to seeing the updates when they finish them next spring. As always, great job with the video! Looking forward to seeing where you take us next!!

Trivia Answer: He got his name because he is a Cuban Iguana, and the Cuban sandwich is very popular in Florida.
This may be the most fascinating zoo video I’ve ever watched.
love your tours always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I gotta say, the thumbnail for this video is one of the best ones yet!
Thank you kindly:) It'll act as the thumbnail format from now on, sideways looks best.
We’re traveling to Florida for our first time ever from Alaska at the end of this month and we plan on going here ! Super excited

Yay! Nice job, Zach!
I went to the zoo, it was amazing! Unfortunately most of the Florida section was under construction at the time. The manatee exhibit was my personal favorite.
They are completely renovating the upper side of this exhibit! The new Florida Wilds will open in spring 2022
Hopefully to visit one day.
Enjoyed your sharing 🎁

That stingray thing is devastating
Zuka-Zama!!! Also this is episode 103, eh! Also, visit the Woodland Park Zoo soon because it's the last few weeks there to see animatronic dinosaurs there, along with visiting the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, too! Leaping Velociraptor!🦕🦖
I live in Tampa so I go to this zoo a lot. its a very nice zoo and I have to say my favorite is probably the elephants or the pygmy hippos

I would be surprised, but then I remember that this is Florida.
Wow, just wow!
Went here and it's awesome 😎
Have you heard of the Texas wild exhibit at the Fort Worth zoo?
I wish there was a live stream
When zak said manatees are slow I laughed I swam with manatees in homasassa springs Florida and they out swam me! I’m a surfer lol. Love you zak I work at the Bronx zoo come visit!!!
I live in Massachusetts, there are lots of spotted turtles
I absolutely love your videos they both so informative and also give a good look at all zoos. One question though: How did you figure out the size of the exhibits? Through a website or something?
At first I thought I have never been here but then the more I watched it I starting to now that I have been here because I remember stingray bay
Despite being a lizard, I think Sandwich can be considered an honorary Florida Man
DO A TOUR OF THE DENVER ZOO
OR CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO down here we have a really good zoo facility, and spectacular animals
1:59 I remember seeing them at Lincoln Park zoo
One of my favorite animal alligator
0:46 aint nobody told me that we got apes, gorillas, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, shoebill storks? jaguars, african painted dogs, african penguins,
aldabra giant tortoises, galapagos giant tortoises, gharials, komodo dragons, malayan tapirs and tigers, hippopotamus, sun bears, and wallabies in Florida.
*this is all a joke btw lol*
This habitat is coming soon in spring 2022
Fantastic video as usual, but one off-topic question, why did you take all the episode numbers out of video titles?
Since I hid most of my older, poorer quality videos, the numbers were removed to avoid confusion. This way I can also post a redo without a random number where it doesn't belong. The private videos can still be seen in the playlists.
Is the iguana named after the Cuban Sandwich?
Yup
Anything changed since your last tour? Planning on going Jan 2024. I heard they had 6 Komodo babies, thought they had Indian and False Gharials.

You can see a tricolored heron at 8:55
They lost they’re Manatee rehab license for a year in the great Dr. Ray” The Rogue Vet.” Ball case.
0:32 *what happened here*
Now I want to go 😂😫
So apparently 12 stingrays died due to supersaturation.
That Alligator sign is very common throughout the Southeast. Molest is another word for 'bother'
The supersaturation event happened due to a system malfunction. The zoo has committed to replacing and upgrading the system before taking in more rays
Also the reason stingray bay closed was that 12 string rays died from human sickness is think
So… why is the touch pool different now?
Dude literally put a link in the description
Can somebody explain what happened to the stingrays cus I live in Europe and the website doesn’t work for European users
www.google.com/amp/s/tampa.cbslocal.com/2021/06/17/zootampa-says-gas-embolisms-caused-12-stingrays-to-die-1/%3famp
Why had most of your videos got deleted
He didn't delete them; he put them as unlisted because he is planning on making redos of his earlier tours, and he is putting the original tours on the descriptions of these videos.
Iwant go to this zoo but i never go to florida 😑😑😑
0:32 Hol up
If it isn’t the Zoo that featured on the 4 Season National Geographic Documentary Secrets Of The Zoo: Tampa.
Zack i'm really sorry what i said in the comments of the last video i heard about your plan for your videos. I hope you can forgive me. and keep up the great work. Alex
The stingrays are dead ☠️
Honestly real sad the stingrays died
Let me get his straight…they named an Iguana…Sandwich. God bless America
There is a very good reason for his name. It's a local thing, well, statewide thing.
He's a cuban iguana. He is named after the Cuban sandwich, which is very popular in Tampa because we have a lot of Cuban immigrants here
Florida manatees....
Will be florida mans pet
Considering it's illegal to even touch them, that is doubtful
@@loura246 but florida man
Its amazing the care these animals get, yet flordia busses immigrants 1/2 way across the nation to democraticly ranbstates telling them they can find jobs there.
