@@Lorry_Draws Fun is relative I guess. If the game was balanced around the fact that x/1 creatures were really strong and needed immediate answers at 2 mana instant etc.. I could see orcish bowmasters be an ok card, but it's just not really the case. Most problem cards have more than 1 toughness, OBM just dabs on mana dorks and delvers for no good reason. And even then, if it was just ETB, it would be strong but mostly fine, or if it wasn't flash, or if it didn't make also make a token etc... The problem is that cards do every thing now. It's a flash answer to x/1, token generator that punishes brainstorm hard, while still having a body. Like why is it pushed that much? Any of these effects could be 2 mana, why does it have to be all of them at once? it's just lazy design I think.
@@garak55 So I can't speak for any formats besides commander (as that's the only one I play now). In edh with staples like rhytic, mystic, one ring, talion etc I see bowmasters as a necessary evil to punish the greedy decks. Sure the death of mana dorks is a bummer, but decks adapt and I still see a lot running them. I wouldn't call the design lazy, however it does lack restraint. And overall it is a lot of fun to play
@@Lorry_Draws I do get that there needs to be a way to punish mystic remora, rystic studies etc... in EDH. In this sense, I guess it would be fine, even though I think the flash part, ETB part and the fact that it targets creatures are really too pushed because they hate on a bunch of other things for no reason. I'd rather them ban rystic study and remora from EDH and remove bowmasters from modern and legacy. But thanks for the perspective.
I think Delney is the best one because the effect is so restrictive. As a commander, creatures that you'd run to get the most out of the effect are conditional or not permanent, the creatures are meek and you're stuck with just one color.
I think panharmonicons effects are fun and good but I worry it will be like "treasures tokens" where everything has something like it, making it less special.
@@DarkDiamondInc it does, its based on the name of the first card with a doubling effect. That's literally how the name "mill" was made, because of the card millstone. And now its used in every card game that has a deck destruction mechanic
Roaming throne really does seem as lazy as it gets, i want to run him in everything but also dont
WotC is staffedby stooges, what do you expect? They printed orcish bowmaster and basically rotated every x/1 creature out of both legacy and modern.
@@garak55 Agreed, however, at least bowmasters has an original/fun design
Yeah it's busted but can't deny it's a lot of fun to play

how is atraxa a panharmonicon
I'm old school..I don't like any effect you didn't spend mana for
Not enough.
For how wide and vast the imagination can be, they choose to be this lazy.
Such as free spells, this is absurd lazy design
I say there’s not enough, cause I got gypped of one for dice rolls. I mean other than that though I think we might have enough..
You are just too salty ! hahahaaaa ^____^
Yes
well panharmonicon is only ETB, sooo half of the things you mentioned arent panharmonicons.
Are you in the magic community since yesterday or what
@@bisowa8883 more like since 2005. oversimplification of event types is stupid, and leads to the whole "everything is kicker" thing.
@@DarkDiamondInc not really. Players just like giving names to certain mechanics
@@bisowa8883 then perhaps the name should accurately represent the mechanic.
