ALOO PARATHA RECIPE
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: North Indian
Ingredients
For the Dough
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp gram flour
½ tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
2 tbsp ghee
Water as required
2 tsp oil
For the Filling
2 large potatoes, boiled and grated
1 inch ginger, grated
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves
Salt to taste
½ tsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
½ tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp garam masala
¼ tsp amchur powder
Ghee for roasting
Butter cubes for garnish
Yogurt to serve
Pickle to serve
Process
For the dough
• Add whole wheat flour, gram flour and ghee to a bowl. Mix well and form a crumb like mixture.
• Add water as required and knead a soft dough. Cover with a muslin cloth and set aside for 20 minutes or till in use.
• Add oil to the dough and knead a little till its absorbed.
For the filling
• Add boiled potatoes, onion, green chilli, fresh coriander, salt, coriander powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, fennel seeds and amchur powder. Mix well
• Divide the prepared dough into equal portions, and form small lemon sized balls.
• Roll them into flat disc with a rolling pin and add the prepared stuffing in the centre.
• Roll into a potli, remove the excess dough and roll back into a disc.
• Heat a tawa, add the prepared paratha and roast on both sides for 30 seconds each, flip over and brush with ghee, flip over and roast till brown spots appear.
• Garnish with cubes of butter and serve hot with yogurt and pickle.

I am from Chennai. I will not make stuffed parathas at home. I do Mooli and lauki parathas.
Stuffed parathas, We will only eat them out. When I came across Parathas with wet batter, I wanted to check Ranveer bhai's recipe. After watching his video, I decided to try all kinds of parathas ofcourse with his help and decided not to try wet parathas.
Im making Aloo Paratha for lunch. I never tried this because I felt them to be too intricate.
Thanks to our Ranveer bhai for convincing people like me to try even complicated stuff. Im sure it's going to be appreciated by my family well.

The only problem I've with your channel is that people only talk about how handsome you look and how flattering your accent and personality is instead of how the recipe turn outs. Never been disappointed with your recipes tho, so fingers crossed for Aloo da Parathas as well.

This is Aadarsh. I am 19. Last year on the highways of Rajasthan we had stopped to grab a snack. I was sleepy despite that I decided to eat. I ordered an aloo paraantha in the roadside dhaba. It was fuming and the first bite blew off my tiredness and the sleep. It was the best I had ever had.
I stay in Kolkata and for the last one year I've been trying to replicate and recreate that recipe but I failed due to the quality of spices. Today I looked through this video and I made one again. I had the same effect as that one. It blew me and made me fall in love again with the roads of the country. It was DELICIOUS. Thank you very much for the recipe and thanks to inspire me and my cooking.

Itne unsuccessful attempts ke baad finally kisi ki tips mere kaam aain. Adding that little bit of besan, kneading the atta soft and cooking on low flame finally resulted in perfect parathas. Thank you so much sirji 😇😇
