Spice Bangla its good to see you not only make cooking videos, you watch other cooking videos too.so it enrich us, and we always learn new tips and tricks of cooking. Bravo. For Bong eats team very good recipe, bikeler chayer shathe aloo porota oshadharon ,dhonnobad, bhalo thakben.
I have made it a rule now. Every night b4 I sleep one video of urs... My new relaxing therapy u c... This goes right to my breakfast plate tomorrow morning... I m in love with the cast iron pan u guys r using.... Even though these r known recipes... I still watch them because the tips that u guys share actually makes wonders while cooking. I almost felt like gobbling up the paratha when it puffed up so well completely like a Puri... Ahhh... It's love a 1st sight for any paratha lover. And b4 I end this comment... This music of na na na na..... Uff kills it and that Durga puja dhaki and kansor ghonta beat.. Ahhh nothing can be more ideal.
Great cooking style but we Punjabis do not put oil before we cook paratha. we cook the paratha dry on high heat then desi ghee on both sides and low the heat cook it further till its crisp and golden. putting oil on raw paratha usually makes the paratha rubbery but not crispy in my opinion....
Right. My mother does it that way and it works perfectly. But in our experience this yields softer parathas that stay soft longer. One could go both ways I guess.
I am from Bihar and my mom cooks exactly the same way with same ingredients...we call it aalo bhari roti... Amazed to see this on UA-cam 😊 No wonder geographical proximity (Bihar-Bengal) plays an important role in the evolution of cuisine..
+Akki Akki That is, in fact, not a coincidence. My (Saptarshi's) father was posted in Bihar for ten years (Dhanbad, Patna, then Gaya). I spent the first four years of my life in Gaya. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Bong Eats woww great to know that 😊😊😊 Eastern cuisine is full of taste and diversity, still its very simple to prepare.. I mean we can survive with aalo shiddho/aalo choka with rice and even fermented rice with pickle.. And then another version of full fledged preparation with variety of ingredients... I wish to see more restaurants, serving food from east India... 😊 Great Channel..All the best👍
i believe paranthas came from Punjab but over time came to be incorporated into every indian cuisine. You will find different versions of paranthas/porotas in each household north, south, east and west of India. Perhaps only the north-east was saved from the onslaught of the paranthas(!) as it remained inaccessible back in the days.
Just made this and it was so extremely good. Never thought I would get emotional over aloo paratha, but nearly in tears here! Somehow my parathas didn't hold together as well but will keep practicing.
it's awesome... Proud to be a bangali.
I made it today...can't believe I made soft parata. my paratas always become hard but today for the first time they were amazing. thanks for a great recipe. ❤️❤️❤️
Simply gorgeous! For amateur cook like me, seeing the perfection u put in small things is a treat to watch......it's like let the food do the talking and no bullshit.
I thought of starting meditation but instead switched to your channel.😬 Absolutely love the precision with which you prepare and present the recipes. Watched your interview yesterday as well. Feels great to finally meet the people behind such amazing work. Lockdown or not please don't ever stop making new videos.🙂

I've been watching UA-cam since a while and I don't comment on any channel or on any video... But these guys.. oh my God what aesthetic what perfection... I fall short of words... Absolute work of art 🤍 Highly appreciate your efforts ✌🏾
Hi! Your recipes are great! But could you please write the measurement in tsp/tbsp/cups as well? Sometimes it gives a hard time to understand since people like me are no t used to of it.
+Abhishek Verma We love the music too! It's composed for our channel by our favourite Calcutta-based band called Bemanan. You can check out some of their other stuff on their UA-cam channel: UA-cam.com/bemananmusic. To listen to the tracks that we use on our channel, visit kit.com/bongeats/music-album-quorma-kaliya-polao.
Knead the dough as soft as you possibly can. Then it will not “burst” ... the filling and the dough should be in harmony when you roll it out. When rolling it out - you should give very light pressure only and if needed put some dry flour so that it does not stick to the base on which you are rolling out the parathas. It will take a little more time - but the effort will totally be worth it.
With this, I completed 22 recipes of this channel. 😌 This is so perfect. ❤ Please upload rosogolla, kalakand, kalojam recipes with your perfect measurement 😌
My family is of Bihar origin my mom makes aloo parathas very similar like this however she uniquely serves them with a side of kheer/phirni it tastes really good a nice mix of sweet and savoury and I really urge everyone to try it

I too prefer this method than putting oil first
Virdi Saab - Bingo!

Deboleena 🤣🤣...keep practicing
it could be because your paratha dough was not soft enough, for paratha dough must be softer than roti dough
Add a bit of baking powder to the dough
Very neat videos...so r the fingers and the presentation...bless u
I had to pause the video halfway to appreciate the background song in this comment...overwhelmingly touching!

Hi! Your recipes are great! But could you please write the measurement in tsp/tbsp/cups as well? Sometimes it gives a hard time to understand since people like me are no t used to of it.
mahjabin chowdhury there's a thing called Google that'd do the conversions for you
You know right that bengali food is based on "Andaaj"
Lol the measurements are given in weights exactly for the reason of removing any confusion. Cups can different for different people.
@@TheJainmehul Bro why can't they use both
@@kiptepetuk If u r new to cooking u cannot give anything by andaaj

Awesome recipe and back ground song
Music was so satisfying
Really mouthwatering recipe.Just lovely..Nice work.
Everytime i put all this filling in my parathas, all the filling comes out 😓
What should i do?
Knead the dough as soft as you possibly can. Then it will not “burst” ... the filling and the dough should be in harmony when you roll it out. When rolling it out - you should give very light pressure only and if needed put some dry flour so that it does not stick to the base on which you are rolling out the parathas.
It will take a little more time - but the effort will totally be worth it.
Steam your potatoes because steaming them doesn’t leave excess water.
