It just so happens that I am feeling very needy this afternoon.
I also tackle the top reasons why you choose to 2 man brig, it gets scientific.

You are the best sea of thieves UA-camr, and you've taught me sooo much, I hope I run into you on sea one day and avoid you at all costs.

8:13 I refute your argument! If the wind direction is random throughout a voyage you are more likely to have the wind to the sides because there is two of them and only one front. the brig is fastest with the wind to the side and faster than a sloop with the wind coming from the rear. Since the brig is faster than the sloop when the wind is coming from 3 sides (left side right side and rear) opposed to the sloops 1 side (front), you should go for the brig if speed is your main concern. (only if you have a two-man crew)
I like the maneuverability of a sloop and the anchor has a way shorter raise time. I choose sloop. I do anchor turns all the time solo. Its nice.
Yes, but sailing against the wind takes longer than if it were at your back or sides. As such, it's... probably equal, really. In this situation, the galleon just loses regardless.
I think your right but i still Think its dumb to play on a 2 man brig
n0xxm3rcyxx no doubt, those are great points and I’ll add one more -the location of the anchor to the wheel. but the point he was making was about overall sailing speed not manuvarability or convenience.
Jakob Hoff well you’ve got double the fire power, which I think is a big deal against a gallon when three people repairing. But yea, personal opinion I guess
11:54 this shit had me dyin
but how should you handle that situation (Not including preventing them from getting on in the first place)

Your SoT videos really bring back good memories.. Too bad I'm stuck in military Service and can't really play myself, so these really hype up my day! Keep it up~

Love how you cut the cannon shots in your videos.
I've gotta say, you've grown on me a lot. Great sense of humor, great advice and tips, and good entertainment.
I love the music when you chased the 'red sea' pirates, it was perfect during color transitions.
I love how you just say "Hello" :P It got me hangin here, so I had to subscribe
i have to say man i have been loving your videos for a while i tried the style of voice over aswell like you and Welyn use. gotta say. you nail it man! cant w8 to see you on the high seas!!

yup, he just got 1 more. installing the game today, cyarrr
Yah I agree
the best. literally in love with this channel.
Thanks Adolf Jackson
i really like this guy he is always so bright and filled with joy, keep the positivity
You are the only sea of thieves content creator I want to see in my recommend videos.
The reason me and my friend always pick the brigantine is because we think it looks cooler, yeah sure it might not be good at anything really when you're only 2 people but atlest we're having fun
Doing the rag and bone crates made sense for the added speed since you could load crates and select the seapost you want to deliver to based on the wind direction.
8:19 "But since *(On paper)* the Sloop is the fastest against the wind, The Sloop will get- *ISLAND VS WOOD NOISES*
Tbh if you think about it the wind mechanics make sense, if a galleon is going against the wind they have 3 sails getting pushed back by the wind, but when it’s with the wind it has 3 going with it.
I was expecting a standard tips and tricks video but this gave me a good couple of laughs.
This guy can post whatever he wants and I can guarantee it would be entertaining.
I actually learned how to fight in sot from your vids (not to mention their funny) I appreciate it dude
you know in your video S.O.T vs developers you learn me some thing and talking about some serious subject in the game. very very interesting video. your one of the best.
The wind thing isn't a bug, it's an intended feature to balance it so that each ship has an advantage over the others and a disadvantage depending on how competent the crew is or how much trail and error they've done
Gotta love the barrel roulette :D
3:30 it’s because me and my friends don’t actually know how the sloop sails work. We just know that with crosswind brig go zoom, it’s also easier to estimate when to raise sails when parking, and there is an extra cannon
Math, Angles, Curve theory. Still the best. I keep coming back Pixel
I thought Summ1tg was fun to watch....but your commentary just cracks me up. Think you're my new favorite 🤣
I like the sloop, it’s small and nimble, can hide between small islands and rocks and easy to manage if your playing it solo 👍🏼
Turning the sail into the wind to speed up is from RL sailing, and is called "Tacking" - however, the sails in SOT are SQUARE and wouldn't allow tacking. You need the triangular Lateen sail or a Moonraker sail to tack against the wind.
I know this is a bit of an older video, so maybe this reply is late. But the two reasons I like two-manning the Brig are:
1) Being able to flex how many people you have is super useful (As to your point 3), because I can solo-sail a Brig if need by, either because my buddy has to step away for some reason, or is off the ship handling something. Or if I want to wrap up some stuff solo at the end of a session, but not restock a sloop. I personally find a great value in those options.
2) I have twice as many directions I can get max speed at, compared to other ships. If I have a northward wind, I can go East OR West to outrun someone. A Sloop can only go South, and a Galleon North. This opens up HUGE strategic options for swinging by Forts and setting up a keg or cannon play, performing boarding attempts, and generally maximizing my options for how to maintain a safe distance if I don't feel like I'm in a position for a full fight.
That being said, each of the ships definitely has advantages. I think more firepower IS a valid reason, more or less, as long as you know how to play the game to ensure you can utilize that extra firepower as much as possible. But it probably isn't a very good reason on its own.
I tried sea of thiefs and everyone ran away from us and all we did was farm. Yet your videos never cease to entertain me
Just when I think i've seen all the good gaming content on YT they through me a bone like you. guess i have another 100+ hours to watch now :)
You probably don’t remember but I was on a galleon representing the servants of the flame and you were on a sloop and you were pounding us and we knew we were going to lose but we determined to try to learn something and we learned about not immediately going for the anchor when we board thank you
I think on the pause screen where it says Scuttle, it should say "ship management" and in the screen you would see "scuttle" and "change ship type" which would allow you to change your ship from a small ship to a larger ship, and from a large ship to a smaller ship only if your crew amount permits. Getting a new ship should scuttle your current and then spawn the new larger ship of your choice on another island.
The combat evolved part made me subscribe 🤣🤣
You can shave off a little time on each bucket scoop and shovel dig with an animation cancel. It really really makes a difference especially if more than 1 person are utilizing it.
this is actually really good content, a sub well deserved
4 Years later, they kinda brought the "Windwaker Update" to the newer seasons. Haha.
Me and a friend to man the brig for quick firepower. We can approach any ship, sloop or galleon, and take them out before they notice. A sloop wouldn’t normally have the firepower to take an unaware galleon with just the cannons. And the same thing with the sails applies to all ships.
I only watch this channel for this kind of content please keep making more
I used to be an eye of reach flintlock guy but after seeing your videos the blunderbuss might be a choice for me 👀
this guys sounds a good voice, and reacts to situations similar to videogamedunkey, and i love it.
This is the first video I've seen of yours. You're hella hilarious. I'd be honored to be sunk by you on the seas one day Haha
I was doing a tall tale earlier, and a galleon was coming after me. After a short pursuit I noticed that it was a 1-man galleon. Give me a good reason why 1 person needs to operate a large, bulky ship that is most efficient when it's able to host a crew of 4 people.
If you double tap B or X on pc you can cancel the bucketing animation to make it faster.
Same thing with shovel but everybody knows that.
that's content. gj man your efforts are appreciated
Love these these videos and all your content!! So surprised youre not over this game with how much money you have xD
Into the wind with all sails forward, its galleon > brig > sloop. It's just easier to do on a sloop.
Bruh your channel is fuckin awesome mate this is my absolute favourite sea of thevs content. I hope you continue to grow man cause this channel deserves more attention🖐
I used a brig with my friend because it’s faster than the sloop when you have wind. Plus it has two cannons on each side so we would do a double cannon drive by. We don’t do it anymore since they added the possibility of a skeleton galleon spawning on a brig.
skeleton galleons are stupid easy tho on a brig, if you have one guy board while the other guy peppers them with holes you can keep them from repairing AND shooting if ure good enough at the PvE and sink them in under 2 minutes. Give it a shot sometime, also helps with finding the loot after since one guy is sitting on it :D
love your vids man they are bloody hilarious dude. PS anyone else think his character @5:21 looks like Danny" Trejo? Keep it real man!
I missed you pal!
My buddy and i use the brig for the extra wind speed and the second cannon, it has made the difference for me in all my pvp encounters, weve sunk gallions and sloops easily with propper sail usage, i dont have the same bad luck with wind
Math, Angles, Curved theory! Absolutely love it!
I don't like you or the way your talk but your knowledge about the game, experience and gameplay is on par with my own and for that reason you have my respect.
FINALLY a new video of you playing SoT!!! >D
This video was great stuff!
Due to some unfortunate luck I can't play SoT, so I'll just watch your stuff.
I love ur laugh 😂 it sounds like the pirate lord’s laugh
I love the music, and funny video!
I run two players on brig because it’s quicker then the sloop. But I also have a good partner who I’ve been running w since release. He does takes care of the ship and I do the killin. Works for us.
Dude... How are you not at 1 million subs? You are hilarious!
I love how you edit the cannon shots
Why didn't I find this guy earlier , bro great video's
Wanted to play stronghold barrel roulette with a brig so I set my one man sloop toward it, basically flipped on a dime as I was coming and headed away.
Sadly if they had won I was willing to give them two stocked supply crates & a fresh rowboat.
This is an old video, but I’ll post my perspective into the Aether. I two man for two reasons, it absolutely does scare away most sloops. Just because YOU attack everything with a sail, doesn’t mean most people do. Most people avoid brigs. That’s just how it works.
Second, on average, I save 15-20 mins per mission on a brig. That’s just my luck. I’ve timed this mind you. I have horrendous luck with sloops and wind. Better with brigs and wind. Wind gods, indeed.
I’ve solo’d a brig for story missions. The moment I act aggressively against an advancing sloop and start firing before talking, they run. That’s been my experience over 90% of the time. The other times, I’ll either pick the direction with side wind, full sails, or I’ll strategically place islands between me and fight. I’ve won against other two/three man brigs solo that way. It’s not easy, but I’m also a try hard.
great and hilarious content keep up the good work
I love it when he hits them with the classic "hello"
Someone played barrel roulette on my sloop earlier. They climbed on board (part of a full brigantine crew, for once) and I set sail so that it wasn't enough to overwhelm me with reinforcements, since they were across the stronghold with a good cannon angle. He stared at me for a good 10 seconds before I got bored and threw a firebomb at him. I won the fight, but they came back and won that fight, then we became friends over a battle well fought.
“You guys know you can only bail as fast the animation allows you too right?”
Me: animation cancels
love the its always sunny in Philadelphia reference
Wow i have been playing the game wrong this whole time??? 😂 Jk but seriously there are really quite a few sot youtubers that are good but i swear nobody is having as much fun as this man i can feel it 😂... He's like.. Saitama of. The oceans ... So calm and bored of his own power 😂😂😂😂😂 great content this surely got me back into the game for good!
The more of this you got, the more I'll watch.
3:40 «you guys know you can’t bail faster then the animation lets you» you can super buket!
i only duo a brig when it was originally a trio, and one person left but we didnt want to stop the quest
I want to see a meme of Commodore Norrington and his right hand man saying that has to be the best pirate I've ever seen pans over to Pixel saying Hello
Well actually, i like 2 man brig, because the easier to bail thing really helped me a lot, and the "more firepower" is actually a thing, mostly on world events although, and finally it's faster and it can outrun anything (under certain circumstances), and yes, the brig can be faster than anything if you know how to use it.
Same, he just showed brig crews who couldn´t handle it. But we actually manage to win 9-10 pvp fights.
On rare occasions we meet players like this guy, and yeah you lose some, but what gives right. Entering most fights we angle the ship and then start blasting sloops, wich most of time results in them trying to pannick board us.
2nd thing for us is the whole immersion on a bigger ship aswell. It´s just a matter of preference.
At 11:09 when the guy jumped into the water I just died with laughter
In the settings you can disable the starting Sequenze
I think that Abandon Ship strategy would only work in hard-to-see environments and weather... so fog or storm!
He’s backkkk
Brig is only slightly slower than a sloop against wind and lot faster with wind while also having decent handling. Especially if you are chasing people (half the play time I am chasing people) brig is the best. That said I rarely need to 2 man brig because I usually have enough players to fill the crew. I also think lot of 2 man brigs are open crews.
Best reason to two man a brigantine would be the extra sail, although it can be extra work when in combat you won’t be completely crippled if they land a single chain shot, but it’s still better to two man a sloop
Me and my buddy will two man a brig cause we're waiting for a 3rd, but I'm also biased to the brig layout and me and my bud are just good enough to make it work. We actually sunk another two man brig AND a full crew galleon! I wasn't expecting us to win but we did!
I'm new to your channel and I had no idea you could sell mermaid gems to hunters call, I never even thought to try. crazy
Hahah he played it’s always sunny theme... Nioce
The reason I run it is because the sloop has one cannon and if the enemies just shoot cannon balls at the cannon on the sloop it’s hard to shoot back whereas on the brig you can swap to the other cannon if they try to lock you from shooting back
This is AMAZING.
People’s reactions are the best
I like brigs better because it’s better to sail on for a few reasons.
1) If you get wind against sloops you’re around 3x faster than them
2) Kegs on the crow’s nest are further from the ship’s hull so damage is less.
3) The sloop bounces around a lot, so I prefer brigs.
4) More cannonballs to start with.
5) (obviously) More cannons = fire power
