This is perfect. Thank you. I am making an engagement ring for my son. I already have the setting but Im going to try my hand at making the shank for the setting as you did here.
I'm going to start doing this. I've spent 7 years of my life making wooden carvings and making wooden fishing lures. I want to make my skills even finer with jewelry.
You guys I love you and miss you every time 😂 I do have a question though how did you solder the wires together to get them at north south east west, I don’t think you showed that part I could be wrong but I’m assuming they were soldered one on top of another one to bring them together to make the 4 points but how do you like to go about doing that usually? Thank you and lovely to see/hear you both!!! Emy ❤
@@emy_themua2015 if you lie then flat and do the first two it makes it easier. Then just bring the third and fourth in - I think I welded these together with the laser though.
@@aytekgergin3940 that’s a chuck I picked up from a hardware store. Just something I thought would come in handy. I often buy tools meant for different purposes to find how they will apply in the workshop.
I found a work holder at Rio , but they want an arm and a leg for it, try pawn shops, garage sales, hardware stores, tools at flea markets, auto supplies stores, I make many of my tools. Good shopping, and good smithing. 👍🙂.
