I had a lot of questions about my Teraflex Nomad wheels and their quick deflation system. I made this video to show how easy and fast they are to air down and how you can adjust them.

cool! I have the Gen1 monster valves and they are great. no auto shutoff.... so you just hook the guage up to the normal valve and air down. They are impressively fast down and paired with a powertank and monster chuck the up is extremely fast too...
These are pretty cool and incorporate the auto air down and large diameter valve for speed... wish they let you tap into that larger valve for up too
I'm a fan of AEV wheel designs for the JK (Salta, Pintler...) but the air down feature is dope! Nomad Deluxe with rim guards it is. 🤘
Great wheels! I have a set on order. Can’t wait to get them mounted.
Looking forward to the compressor comparison.
Can't wait to see a video on how well they do at 12psi on the trail. I also have my dual ARB mounted in the rear of my JKU but in the storage tool area. To help with sound deading also used Killmat to help a little bit more. Not much of a difference but any little bit helps.
I have a slightly different mounting idea. I think we may be offroading fairly soon.
I wanted to keep a nice clean look and not effect future ideas. Unfortunately I can't share photos here. But relocated the intake filters up by driver rear window along with an air chuck and pressure gauge. Also ran another air chuck up to the front under driver side knee panel by door harness. Future will be ARB lockers re-gearing.
Love your content 😀
Ditto
Jeep is looking good love your videos
Thanks 👍
Those would be great for the beach
So cool. Where did you get them. What name are they?
Great explanation for a useful feature. Are you aware of other wheel makers that offer this feature?
Not that I know of. Power tank monster valves can be added to most wheels.
I wish these wheels were available for my Cherokee.
Like those wheels...but wish they had a little less backspacing. I rub inner liners in front when wheelin with same spec wheels/tires on a jlu with rubi axles. Wayoflife also rubbed with 4.75 backspacing and 37s and ended up adding spacers to push tires wider.
I was afraid of that. I just put mine on and noticed how much further tucked in they are then my old Method beadlocks.
@@bfranks77 Yeah...they dont rub alot...only when turning while flexed up.
What bolts or lug nuts are those ?
Looks great, but what about mud and rocks and ice and offroading? Will they work?
Time will tell.
Would there be any obvious challenges to painting these wheels? I’d like to color match them to my jeep and then keep the black rash ring and hub cover thing
I don't think there would be other then covering the threads of the air up and air down valves.
Sorry to be out of context, Diesel specific question, does the Wrangler come a supplemental electric cabin heater to deal with the slower warm up time of the engine? Maybe you can see a relay or fuse in the manual that covers PTC heat? I want an ecodiesel but without that extra feature it would be a deal breaker for my wife.
Not that I am aware of but it does have heated seats and steering wheel :)
Good to know. Can't wait to see how well the tire holds the rim off-roading at 12psi. I wonder how much of a difference that grip on the inside of the rim will make???
Also, beginning to see just how expensive owning a Wrangler will be! How often do you personally have to replace parts? Assuming you break things to begin with. :P
Generally stuff gets replaced as it breaks with something stronger and haven't really had much break that ive upgraded.
Casey how did you balance your tires? I have 35" toyo r/t tires on 16" rims and can't seem to get it right.
The crew at Paradigm did it just like any other wheel.
Hey Casey, I am going to be running these on my Gladiator next week. Do you typically air down to around 12 psi for your offroading? Any bead pops at that pressure yet? Thanks!
I have them set around 14 and have had no issues so far.
@@Casey250 Thanks Buddy, keep on the good work on the channel! enjoy your buddy vids with Shawn too.
Fancy!
I try 👌👌
To think of your "1-inch" lift but the wheel gaps actually look pretty nice. The other day I was looking at a stock diesel JLUR and realize it is actually sitting taller than a gas JLUR, by how much I don't know, say 1-inch or 1.5 inch. So your 1-inch lift may actually be like a 2-inch over a gas JLUR, or 3.5-inch over a gas sport.
Ya I am waiting for some measurements on a different set of 3.5 springs on a diesel to see how much over stock it got. I noticed that EVO's lift they put out is only 2.5".
Have you had any TPMS problems with this wheel/tire combination?
I don't run TPMS sensors.
have you used the kraken inflation system with your teraflex nomads???
yep, all the time.
thanks for the info as i tryed talking with teraflex and they were not much help. @@Casey250
Casey, I am having trouble keeping my rash rings secured. I have torqued to specification (25 lbs criss crossed) several times and the bolts get loose after several hundred miles. The edge of the rash rings set against the tires (Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5x17) and I believe this is causing the problem. Anybody experience this problem?
I will check mine this weekend after all the driving I did last week.
@@Casey250 I look forward to see what you find out about the torque on the bolts.
Casey, did you get a chance to check the torque on your rash ring bolts?
@@jamesnewbern3658 I just went to check them and realized I don't own a 7/32 hex socket to put on my torque wrench so Ill need to order one.
Does the tpms work with the Nomads?
Yes.
I would like a set of these wheels. I'm not sure but did you notice that you sound like a robot when you take those short pauses between each word?
nope lol.
Casey, are these wheels beadlock or semi beadlock?
No, neither. The rash ring is to just prevent damage to the lip of the wheel.
thatmar1neguy Terra flex says it has a more pronounced bead ring on the wheel to help prevent the bead from moving.
They look like they will easily be scraped off with no protection and they stick out a good deal. Better carry a few spares to change out. It’s neat concept they just need better protection from debris and rocks from the look of it.
Been running them for 4 years almost and zero issues
No lift?
Its lifted... sort of. Check out the video before this one.
I feel you have just doubled your chance of air valve failure.
Your mother make you wear a helmet to play in your room?
This was interesting until you stopped the valves your self instead of letting them come to a complete stop by them selves so we could see the exact cut of point.
Once the major hissing trails off they pretty much are within half a psi or less from where they stop and so I normally just close them up.
@@Casey250 I really enjoyed that video All Meat and no Bones.
Seems like something someone with money to burn would buy, but still cool.
