Today we took a trip down to Paradigm Auto Works to get my new 37 inch tires installed on my 2020 Ecodiesel Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon. I haven't installed a lift on it yet so this is factory height. I installed 37x12.5r17 Nitto Trail Grappler tires on Teraflex Nomad wheels.

At least those were paid-for/sponsored tires that you were burning a few hundred dollars worth of rubber off of in the burn-out.
And kudos for telling us that they were sponsored. I appreciate the full disclosure
Not sponsored at all. Sorry if that was implied. Epic got them to me quickly and was great to deal with and offered a discount that was more competitive that any other shop but I still was out of pocket a good chunk of change. I don't think i have recieved any thing free from any one. Occasionally discounts from long term partners like Warn, and Teraflex, but I have spent thousands and thousands with both companies. I like to shout out local companies and/or any company that has gone out of their way to make my life easier and has great teams (Northridge 4x4 has been a huge help for a long time) and products. I have no interest in promoting products I don't believe in just for free stuff and have turned down several. Any company that stands behind their product, is quick to respond to questions, and makes ordering easy is far more valuable then saving a few bucks here and there.
IMO you're going to need a couple inches more lift for full articulation.
Do you need to strengthen any parts such as axle extra by installing 37s? Is a lift itself just good enough?
@@shushu86 I am cautious of tthe front C guessets and rear axle flanges.
Yep,the wheels look great, nice tyre choice as well.Looking forward to the continuing journey of mods. on the Jeep
Very nice. Can't wait to see the final lift on it too.
I would love too see all the tazer/fuel vidoes you can make! Love everything so far!
Looks amazing! Love the combo
Love the wheels and Tire combo! Awesome!
Looks great. Great installation info too.
Thanks for the info, now I know I can drive the 37s home from the shop before the lift install.
I put 35x10.50 tires on my stock sport & rubi suspension, love it!
It looks great! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing.
Those rims and wheels look Awesome! Excited to see your complete review on how they affect fuel economy! Great Video
Thanks. Appreciate the feedback for future videos.
Loving the build. Keep up the great content 👍
Thank you! You know I will!
Definitly interested in the fuel economy video! Thanks for the updates man. Definitely leaning towards ordering a diesel for myself.
You bet.
That looks great! I can not wait to get it on my diesel Willys!
Great taste. Beautiful wheels & tires. Teraflex rocks!
Thanks! I really like the unique design.
Looks awesome!!!
Loving your channel. It is great to have the guidance from somebody who knows a lot more than I do. Building a 2 Door JL Rubicon in Vernon, B.C.
Killer rim set-up!
Thanks 👍
Looks sweet. Can't wait for you to do the lift.
Thx. Me too. Its going to be looking great.
Looks awesome. Those wheels are very cool!
Thanks!
Great Video Casey! I love the wheel choice you made now that they’re on the Jeep...I wasn’t 100% sure when you did the reveal in your garage. What a difference a set of wheels and tires make to it! Thanks for sharing! ✌🏼
Thx bro. I think the look really good with the aggressive side walls of the Trail Grapplers.
Casey 250 Absolutely 100% agree ✌🏼
I'm impressed that those were not heavier. I have first year raptor wheels with 35" wildpeaks on my f150 and those come in at 100lbs even.
Tnx mate, Now I can also mount 37 ,next time I hope you mount lift kit,L&R 🇳🇴
I did the same when switching to wild peaks to see the difference in weights 😆
I love my Nomad Deluxe. Only running 35's and haven't had a chance yet to take them off-road yet. But have had them aired down just to see how well that works.
The system seems to work great. Some off road testing is needed for sure though. Soon.
Looking great
Looks good buddy, can't wait to see it with the lift.
Its going in Monday to see the master.
Casey, sweet rims and wheels !! I just love the looks of them.
Thanks! I really like how different they are and the modern look to them.
Looks good great tire choice
Thx Frank. Hopefully get some time to come up your way in the near future.
they look awesome on your rig. you just sold me on my next set of rims. thank.
Awesome 👍👍
Nice looking just crazy heavy
The new shoes look great!
Thanks!!
Wow. It looks awesome. 💕
Thank you! 😊
Would like to see the tazer videos definitely
Nice , congrats
All you need now is a flat brim snap back, some monster energy drink stickers, and chrome accents!
Lol
Looks great
Thanks i like then a lot.
Looks perfect! Leave it alone.
I cant help myself
Looks great.
Thanks!
Very cool! Living through your channel as I mentioned before, this was supposed to be my next Jeep purchase if I hadn’t gotten my JT.
JT is a sick rig too!!
Diesel JT for me hopefully soon
If I could have waited, I would definitely would have purchased a diesel JT especially now seeing how Casey’s ride is turning out!
You might have mentioned it in a previous video, but what did the stock wheels/tires weigh?
+1 for JL Tazer vid
It will be up on Saturday.
Looks good! Do the Dino and fuel comparison!
Thx. Appreciate the feedback for making future videos.
Bad Ass bro...dyno, dyno, dyno 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
She's looking a beast 👍
Thanks. I like it but needs a bit of lift.
@@Casey250 wat thinking 2 inch lift 👌
I wasn't really digging the look of these when I looked at pictures of them. But, they look really nice on a jeep. Might have to rethink my next wheels.
I like the modern feel to them.
Finally ! Haha looks good man !👍 trail time !!
Lift thennn trail. I am really wanting to add skids before hitting it too hard. Lots going in under there that needs some protection. Few companies I've spoken too wont be long with solutions.
@@Casey250 yea play it safe , i would do the same especially since its new
It’s well know when you start flexing, those will rub on turns. You have to remove and cut off much plastic aero stuff and while turned and flexed, will still rub. So how well did you really test it?
Very nice 👍🏼
Thx! 👊👊
Freaking Awesome!!!!
Thanks!!!!
Beautiful combination for your Rubi. Goes well with the white paint. I'm interested to see the impact on your fuel mileage and new dyne results.
Thanks. Appreciate hearing from you guys and what videos are interesting.
I’d truss up that FAD front axle if you plan on wheeling hard.
Plz do a mpg test with the 37s
These nittos are pretty light, my general grabber X3 in 285/70r17 weight around 72lbs/33kg
Simply awesome jeep,i like the the way you dress up your jeep. I will be following your channel.
Thx.
They do look amazing on your Jeep. Very interested to learn about your fuel economy impact after speedometer calibration as well as your new dyno results. I wonder if we now get to see the engine deliver its peak torque at the lower rpms. Thanks again for posting this.
He did do a video of a mpg run. iirc... he ended up with ~23 mpg with the 37's.
Michael Lewandowski Thanks. Yes, I am a big fan and have watched all the videos.
Looks good. Newbie here: will you need to change gears or drive shaft after going.w 37s?
dope
Do you know what’s the total height of the car. Is that it’s with the 37” tires ? Thank you
Really nice, love those rims, deflators very cool
Just so ya know........... I been running Falken wild peak mt tires (which if ya haven't tried them you should).. nittos like toyos are way too stiff and do not flex much which provides a bad ride and no grip... 37 12.5 Falken on Hutchinson beadlock (which is the only legal beadlock) weighs only 102 lbs......... much lighter better and will have more power..... cheers thx for the videos
I'm loving the look! Please get a weight on the stock wheel/tire combo too so we can make a comparison with your new setup. I don't think an overall weight per corner of 118 lbs is too bad though . . . I was expecting worse. Looking forward to the next dyno run and your lift plans. Great info as always!
I believe it was 77lbs stock. I cover it in this vlog ua-cam.com/video/CayQhEOkdYA/v-deo.html
I agree! 118 lbs is not bad at all! I was expecting 150ish! He went from 77lbs to 118lbs but those are 37" and for some reason why they list them at 12.5 but they are nearly 14" wide!
Best off road tire for both weight, size, capability combo ever! I had those in 33" on my 2017 4Runner and man they grab on the rocks here in Arizona as if they have real teeth!
Looks amazing imagine if you put a 3.5 lift on it amazing AMAZING
Check out my build playlist. :)
Also you should cover the rims with protected film
great video. I was wondering are the wheels you went with stock back spacing?
My 33” rub on my 2022 JL
How much do they measure on the jeep? Also what tire pressure are they at?
bad ass man👍🏻
Do you have any issue with rubbing during road driving with the 37s on the stock rubicon suspension
Dam they look so good mate. Now I feel bad about my factory rims
Naw don't feel bad. You enjoy your Jeep and thats all that matters.
Love these, actually you pushed me over the edge…ordered. Preference for tpms?
Just threw 35’s on my 2017 JK sport (no lift) and they look great and I honestly feel I could have gone bigger…
they look fantastic!! I like the nitto's they are true 37s - I hope you go with a 3.5 lift or even 4 considering the way you ride. congrats!!
3.5 but gas model springs. See how it goes and can always swap springs later.
Casey 250 nice!! it will look awesome!! can’t wait to see it destroy the trails!!
That looks killer, you definitely should leave the rims gun metal. Totally fits the scheme for sure!
Thx. I am liking it.
Totally dig the air-down valves but it looks like it would take nothing to screw with your tire pressure while you're parked.
Maybe. I have on board air if that happens and someone wants to vandelize my jeep they better avoid the cameras watching it. Youd have to know what they are as well, most people have no clue.
Your Jeep looks good. I would like to see how one looks with 37x11:50
GREAT LOOKING COMBO !!! I am going with 35's on 17x8.5 wheels. Going to have to run them a while before I can put on a lift. Let us know if you run these how much they rub. Looks like they should be fine for on road driving.
Was it worth it without the lift? Please share
Bet they fit great full flex disconnected with wheels turn.
No idea. I added a lift so I can offroad.
@@Casey250 good idea I would believe , looks good.
That Jeep looks sick!
I am torn between 4runner TRD PRO or Ecodiesel. 🤔
Definitely interested in the fuel kpl/mpg. Probably won't be a ton without gearing but should adjust for shifting points. Looks good. Keep it up.
Awesome videos! Thank you. My wife and I are considering getting a Wrangler diesel. Would you mind showing us where the oil filter is at on the diesel and how difficult it's going to be to do an oil change?
I'd love to once I find it! I will do an video soon on an oil change.
3 inch, steering stabilizer and 4.58 differential swap. That rig looks almost like the one I want, just freedom top that I need since it's hot as hell down here.
I have a 3.5 lift but for a gas JL. See how it sits.
@@Casey250 I thought it was stock height, I'm more of a Terra Grappler myself but nothing but great experiences with Nitto
Stock height in the video. 3.5in going in
@@Casey250 Ahhh nice, lucky me here I can pretty much delete it as I get out of the dealership.
Looks nice. Should fit a Mojave too since it's an inch taller than the Rubicon.
My JL is an ecodiesel and 1.5inch taller then a gas, just to keep in mind.
Is the difference on gas a lot? How many miles per gallon do you get now it’s the 37?
What would be the height of the tires now that the weight of the vehicle is on them?
God, that looks good. I’m sure it’s been answered in the comment section. But, at full flex, did this set up rub with the sway bar disconnect?
Nice... This definitely this is the jeep wrangler I will go with the diesel engine I wasn't sure about the diesel but you did the burn out with the 37" tires the torque is convincing enough... Btw I have a personalized plates for the jeep before buying the the actual vehicle lol
Nice! I love the diesel so far. It is a blast to drive.
I tried to listen for what the offset was but I didn't here it. Looking for wheel for a lifted 2021 rubicon wrangler and not sure of the offset. I know if I use my stock rubicon wheels I will have to use wheel spacers to clear everything but not sure of the offset for new wheels.
Looks dope! I would like to know how much rubbing you get without a lift?
Can you use those tires on the stock rims ??
Sweet like to find some for sale on take off for my Jl Sahara
So you can set the deflator valve to to stop exhausting air at 10psi? definitely gonna need another video showing that, cause that's really handy!
Yep or whatever you set the psi above 10. Ill be testing it more indepth.
Looks awesome. What is the hoop you have on front bumper? Enjoy all you uploads.
Warn's low bar bolted to stock bumper.
@
Casey 250, are you doing any other modifications? That weight is going to cause a lot of stress on your stock parts, probably have to add another good 7k to keep everything rolling properly with such big tires. (new brakes, new suspension, better ball joints, sterring stabilizers etc. )
All the suspension and steering has been upgraded now.
2.0 lift for stuffing!! ;)
:(
Is that a 2 to 2.5" lift on your Jeep? I just bought a 21 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys Sport and its supposed to have the same lift as the Rubicon i believe and I'm kinda wanting to go 37s but not sure if it will fit.
Hey not sure if you have a video showing it already, but did you have to do anything special (drilling etc). to get that license plate bracket above the rear bumper? One thing I wasn't crazy about with the JL is rear license plate location being inside the bumper, looks like you do something a lot better IMO
It is part of the Warn bumper.
👍
👊👊 thanks
Put a tune on that eco diesel!
If there was one.
stuffed they'll rub! sweet rig man! get a lift on it for offroading.
Theres a bit of rub on the rear liner in street bumps haha.
@@Casey250 great videos...I have JL rubi axles with Method wheels with same specs as the nomads and 37s rub front inner liners with 2" bumpstops when flexing up and turning. Need 4.5 backpacking or less to fully clear 37s in the front with rubi fenders. You'll see when you get flexy offroad.
Matt Strunk thats not true I personally know two people with 38x13.5R17 milestars mounted on 17 x 9 +1 wheels and no running except on that “extra bumper” plastic piece in the rear
That’s with a mega flexy 3” lift
@@Casey250 i stumbled upon you after doing research on the diesel. keep it up!! i love my 2.0 I4 gasser, it's a tiny ass motor but it gets up and moves even on 35s.
@@mattbrew11 my 37s rub inner rubicon liners with 17x8.5 wheels 4.75 backspacing flexing up and turning with 2" bumpstops. Your friends must have more bumpstops or dont flex it out like I do or others do and turn the steering. Watch wayoflife's test flexing video with his JLU on 37s and 17x8.5 wheels with 4.75 backspacing...you'll see why he added wheel spacers. Also, JLlifeoffroad was running 17x9 wheels with 4.5 backspacing on 38x13.50 milestars ..he also rubs flexing and just changed to 37s. There are also countless other examples on the jl forum.
Does it fit a jlu sport?
