Charge up heavy attack, slam him in face, and run away again and repeat. You will need to learn the flying phase and dodge that, but once he goes super saiyain, and does the flying dashes etc, he goes back to default mode again. So just repeat same technique as phase 1. GL MY FRIEND!!

This video absolutely helped me beat him with spell binder. Even dodged better in some occasions because of the blindfold. It's absolutely possible to get the 3 perfect dodge on ps5 but did experience framerate drops also, so satisfying beating this guy with spell binder
As someone who got stuck going hyper aggro to take this boss out, wow that was amazing. Extreme patience. With almost a fourth dot I would not have been able to resist greeting before he did the first set of lightning charges!
As someone said here. On PS5 there is an issue. Input lag. And also, for me, the boss was way more aggressive when I was lower level Vs when I leveled up and I was beating his ass.
that's unfortunate hopefully they fix the performance on later updates on PS5. Well when you play more aggressively and stick around the bosses, they tend do have more limited movesets plus they get staggered more often. So it would appeared that they are less aggressive imo.
Actually you can beat it normally. Thrust stance is kinda ypur friend. Maximaze ypur thust stance to 3 at least. Every time he charged at you hit him woth charged thrust. Then you can use the window to use pluck of many and immobilize. Also i find transformation is the ultimate hax in the game. It is like an extralife. I struggle with kang jin star and wise voice more
When I fought this guy, I made the mistake of not attacking but trying to learn his attacks. When I thought I had it down, he surprised me with new move sets when his health went down to half. Bro proceeded to shave my monkey @$$ with his weapon.
One issue I have with some enemies, specially against Erlon, is that I never know when they are spinning the lance and its an atack or a preparation to an atack. some enemies hit during the spin while other have just as an animation to prepare an atack. I think Erlong has both. Its very annoying.
I never even used the spell binder perk.. black myth wukong was the first time I ever played a game like that..I had my hands full with this one so I don't think ima be playing souls and elden rings etc lol.
Watch his hand. There are a few ways he could dash to you and they all start with different hand movements. The rule of thumb is that when his hand slows down almost to a stop, press dodge
Question: how do you figure out the timing when to press dodge? I see the attack animation and I need several tries until I know when to hit dodge because it feels arbitrary to me when to hit it. It seems that you sometimes have to dodge way before you take damage and sometimes just before. Once I figure it out I can dodge quite successfully but it takes me many deaths until I know how. This is my first game of this type, am I missing something?
I think what you described is the same for me as well but I don't find the timing as "way before of taking damage". It's always when the attack is right about to hit you. Some attacks come out slower and some attacks come out faster. But in general yes, it's trial and error
Damn awesome..i manage to beat this guys by maxing my attack and transformation attack stats. With damage pills..just burst attack him from the begininning...haha

It's definitely very good although I mostly just enjoy this playstyle. I maxed out my mana with medicines and talisman because it gives you more attack if you use it with more mana

lol these videos kill me. I fought this boss 15 times he never settled for a 4 hit combo. It’s either 10 to 15 spam attacks no cool down and that goes for all bosses overly aggressive automatic tracking 😂
yea when he is below 30% health his combos go crazy. There are a few combos where you can interrupt him early but for me I did need to learn most of them
Complete bs. This was not done FIRST try. You can tell he knew Yellow Longs move set. With enough practice, and if you really put in the work this level of gameplay is possible. You don’t need to play Elden ring to be this good. Swear like that’s the hardest game. I’ve play Elden, and the dark souls games and this game is equally difficult on its own level.

You don’t have to get perfect dodges for all his attacks. Be patient and study his movements.

This is how this game was designed to play. Close to the enemy, focusing on perfect dodges and "dancing" with them up until the very end. Nice skills!

Spellbinder makes the game absolutely insane I stopped using spell unless I have to
on my first playthrough I loved spellbinder but after that I realized there's also so much play potential with spells like rock solid and immobilize.

smart choice in equipment. it makes perfect dodges more forgiving. I love how everyone can custom the destined one based on their play style

if his right hand does a backhand move then it is delayed attack but if it is forehand then it's a quick attack.
