      If the average YT video author put in 1/10 as much effort as this guy in preparation and delivery, I wouldn't get that "I just wasted some more of my life" feeling nearly as often.

    Had a math teacher in high school who was friends with a mom who had two Varsity athlete’s who played
    1. Football
    2. Wresting
    3. Baseball
    Plus lifted weights at the local gym and she always fed them half a pound of bacon per day six to fifteen eggs with one or two sticks of butter and plenty of red meat. They were jacked and shredded beyond belief and each got division one athletic scholarships partially because of it.

Started eating everything that was in sight, and now I'm 185 pounds 17 years old and total 1300+. Gonna be ranked #1 in the USAPL in the 83kg teen 2 division this year. I love eggs and never took the yolks out no matter all the "your gonna die from chloresterol" nonsense. I sometimes ate 2 cartons of eggs a day and my lipids were always in the good range.
    People need to quite regurgitating old mistaken "facts" and do some real research. Eggs are a super food and the yolk contains all the goodness. Chloresterol is a necessity for life and without one can forget having any kind of optimal hormone level.

  • @Rossbuckle1
    @Rossbuckle1 8 років тому +41

    I use to eat a diet that was basically Pork chops, whole milk, eggs, banana, oats and white potato, spinach, cabbage and broccoli all mashed together, i did this for 1 and a half years of training minus the ice cream that i am about to mention, i only ate ice cream before bed every night for about 8months.
    I would eat 5 times a day and have 5 pork chops a day, drink 2liters of whole milk a day, eat 15 eggs a day, 4 bananas a day, 150g of oats a day and about 600g of mash potato and veg every day.
    All in all it worked out as about 1000-1200kcal each meal and i would eat a tub of ice cream most nights before i went to bed working out to 2000kcal, so i was having anywhere from 5000-7800kcal a day depending on if i ate ice cream or not.
    I got to 19stone and 4lbs, for you Americans thats 270lbs at about 30-34% body fat, i was natural as well "And still am"
    Though i got big and yes i was strong i did start to feel the affects of eating a diet like this, i would ache a lot in my knees and shoulders and elbows, I would sweat just going to the gym and during my warm up i would be sweating as if i was doing my working sets, If i ate carbs before working out i would like like shit, i would feel fatigued sometimes in the gym for no reason, my testosterone levels must of gone down because basically my sex life went to shit.
    I eventually didn't like the size i became so i decided to lose weight, i stooped eating pork and switched to chicken, obviously didn't have ice cream any more, took oats out, changed my milk to skimmed and suddenly all the problems went, i lost weight, i got stronger, didn't feel so bad any more but still sometimes eating carbs before working out affected me, one problem i didn't mention above still remained though witch was basically after working out my vest or shirt would be drenched in sweat, this sweat basically ended up smelling like ammonia and for those who don't know what that smells like it basically smells like piss.
    I did two cuts just to clarify, i dropped stuff out my diet and dropped to 18stone3lb and then dropped it again and dropped to 17stone5lbs.
    I got mega paranoid about it thinking its not a good thing and will i get cancer or some shit, so about 4 months ago now i decided to go vegan ........ i know this prob will come across as a ploy to get people to go vegan but i don't give a shit about anyone and what they wana do, basically my diet is all vegan, every meal i eat for the gym every day is vegan, i eat meat as a treat and ever since i have done this all my problems have disappeared, i feel loads better and i am still getting stronger and bigger and i have lost no strength.
    Now all i eat is Seeds, Nuts, Kale, Spinach, Rice, Mixed berries and currants, Bananas, oats, Soy milk and a Vegan protein shake witch proteins are from Hemp seeds, Peas and brown rice, i supplement creatine and that's it.
    I get about 3400kcal a day on a vegan diet, maybe 4000kcal if i cheat witch is quite often and atm i am 18stone3lbs "255lbs" so only a stone off what i was before and i have none of the problems i had before.
    Personally i think that size and strength has direct coloration with Kcal eaten, as long as you are eating a good diet with healthy food and high Kcal you will put size on and gain strength.

    thanks Stan. It is funny you mention Ed Coan. When I was 18 I was working out at Quad's Gym in Calumet City, IL and Eddie helped me with some advice. Super great guy. I remember we all had to get out of his line of sight (like everybody in the whole gym) when he squatted or did dead lifts. Those were the days

    This is outstanding! Everyone needs to watch this, especially RDs and college profs. I grew up the same way, on a beef farm in PA eating beef, venison, pork, whole milk, butter, home made bread, biscuits, corn, potatoes, etc. I still eat this way today at 42 with excellent blood markers.

    Dam Stan, you're bringing back good memories and making me hungry at the same time. I also grew up in Pa. In a small town called Canton, and I can vouch for everything you said about eating dairy farm food. Between the heavy cream in the milk straight from the Bulk tank to the farm sized meals I went from around 175 to 205 over the summer my junior into my senior year..

      Additionally: How do you feel about eating something like lean turkey + avocado (assuming the macronutrients match up to a piece of red meat)

    • @DGDenver
      @DGDenver 8 років тому

      He talked about these kind of fats as being okay but it's not only about the calories. The red fatty animal protein has cholesterol iron creatine etc that helps with growth. The cholesterol is essential for testosterone production in athletes

    • @kevingundersen3875
      @kevingundersen3875 8 років тому

      Yea I understand that but at some point if you are eating 8 times a day, you would think making at least half of those meals from monounsaturated fats would be beneficial to health. 4 servings of steak in a day should be enough for creatine, cholesterol, saturated fat intake

    • @DGDenver
      @DGDenver 8 років тому

      Yea so if you are getting enough steak or fatty meats in your diet than eating things like advocating and turkey is good. I agree it is good to have healthy variety. As long as you are not eating only lean meats with avocado or olive oil when trying to bulk up. However if you are still struggling to gain weight it is good to opt for the farm foods he talks about. But who can't gain weight on meals eight meals with 4 being steak?

    • @xoranginho

      Ask science not some hobo who doesnt know shit.
      Healthy: 7-8 hours daily.
      Studies (Ill link you some if you want) show, that people who get less AND more sleep than 7-8 hours die of younger age, with people sleeping longer hours long-term, die quicker than those who are deprived of sleep!

    • @lukelyons7255
      @lukelyons7255 6 років тому

      Well meat eaters don't attribute diet to their success either. Dietary sources don't play a role once all necessary nutrients are obtainable.

    Do you know wisdom when you hear it? The key to success isn't necessarily having the most knowledge, but being able to listen when you hear it, then apply it. This brother has athletic wisdom, listen closely!
