If you guys enjoyed this video, there's another video similar to it made by a UA-camr named Brendan Spiegel. Go check his video out here. ua-cam.com/video/Pu8GUJYVM98/v-deo.html
I’m so glad there’s people like you who appreciate collecting physical media. While streaming is easier to consume since you can find all sorts of entertainment, with the current state of streaming and how they treat certain titles (especially Disney+ and Max taking out original series for Taz write offs), it’s great to have physical media since you’re able to not only have it in the palm of your hands but also not worry about ever losing it from the hands of its corporate owners.
There actually is a SpongeBob Blu-Ray containing episodes and not just a movie. It’s a SpongeBob Christmas released on the format and contains all 10 episodes from the first SpongeBob DVD set, Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies, on the disc as an exclusive bonus, while the DVD just has the Christmas special and some special features.
Excellent video.
As a collector of Physical Media myself I tend to feel like with every copy of an album or show/movie I buy, I feel two things.
1: The fact that I'm likely supporting the people who created the media I'm consuming.
2: Low-key nostalgia for stuff I used to watch or listen to all the time.
Hell, I've even put some of my very old videos onto DVDs. When my school closed my old UA-cam account, the only way I could revisit those videos was through those DVDs. Without them, 6 years of content would've been lost forever.
So, yeah, I could really connect with this video. So, I just wanna say, Thank you.
From,
Aidan DeFrehn.
Good stuff! :3
Your take on Physical Media really is astonishing and excellent!
How did I miss this vid until now? I really wanna collect more physical media like DVDs, I just gotta make the space for it. Incredible video, this deserves more views.
The one time starting with you putting a cassette in at the start makes sense
This is a pretty good video. this video is kind of inspiring me to want to look for rare versions of films you could only find on vhs myself.
This was a super great video! I’ve been a fan for a few years and I think this is your best video, also I used to have SpongeBob goes prehistoric on dvd and the SpongeBob movie on dvd too lmao.
Phenomenal video! So cool to learn the details about all these different formats. Plus, it’s great to see how your channel has grown over the years! I was subbed back when you had a few thousand subscribers, and look at you now! Very proud😊👏🏽
I really love old educational DVDs I collect them and they make me happy. it's really cool seeing other people passionate about DVDs and stuff similar like VHS and CDs :)
missed the contents mate, been hovering since 2017, glad you're back
Daniel T, you read my mind. Just recently got a vinyl player and got into this stuff, and even got some great albums for cheap like Willy and the Poor Boys (Fortunate Sun album) and Introducing Lynyrd Skynyrd. For the first time in ages I actually wanna watch you regularly again cuz of this lol
of course I found this video while cleaning up a cassete so I can put the TF2 Fight Songs on it
BROOO i remember having CDs and DVDs before, I wish I can come back to them sometime, I think a family member of mine got a Off the Wall CD and when I was younger, I got a physical DVD copy of WALL-E, too bad I no longer have it, at least those media types are better than digital tbh
i was thinking of getting vinyls myself
excellent video!
Physical media is something I will always cherish for as long as I live. I still remember when I was a kid and just getting a bunch of DVDs of the movies I love because that's how I watched them when I was growing up. Funny enough, I never had Netflix or any streaming service when I was growing up so I was mostly just a DVD kid. Recently, I've been collecting more and more DVDs and Blu-Rays ever since I found my old DVDs again since I thought I lost them forever. Knowing that I can still have my old DVDs lying around while streaming services would pull away shows forever is something I've taken for granted now that I think about it. It's amazing seeing people appreciating physical media more and more and this video further solidified it. Hopefully physical media can stay for as long as we live
u must be young. i was almost 30 when streaming started coming out. i grew up with VHS and DVD's when i was a kid. i still remember recording things on tv with VHS tapes back in the day lol. i know im old. gonna be 42 this year.
Good video. I have so many VeggieTales vhs and DVDs that I might as well own every episode.
Great video. I will be an avid physical media collector until the day I die!
Because of the video?
@@Thats_My_Real_Name No, because I’ve been collecting physical media for the past 10 or so years.
Awesome video mate.
Ahhh the memories.
I got those Beatles head shape cds
I bought the set years ago when they came out I paid like $50 for all of them ,a pretty good price now lol.
Blu-Ray is still used for music and i collect them
It makes me sad that I haven't touched my CD collection since the day I ripped them all in the mid-2000s. But I watch my DVDs/blurays/4Ks every day.
I love Vhs because it was the format that I was introduced to Weird Al on. Right now, I can only collect DVDs. It's easy since I still have some from my childhood and a player.
I've been really in a massive Tally Hall phase recently so having a section made me so giddy
I still love Physical Media! :)
It lasts way way way way longer than streaming
Afaik Mid-Life Crustacean can still be bought on UA-cam, but it's under Season 5 because UA-cam messed up how the seasons were organized
Long live physical media!
(52:52) Planet of the Bass Reference
1 word for why it’s still important fuser that game was made in 2020 and got delisted in 2022
VHS = Vertical Helical Scan not Video Home System.
Streaming sucks! 👎🏻
