TNG’s best hits had Klingons, Romulans, and Borg. The one with Leonard Nimoy and the Klingon civil war were two of their greatest episodes
when I first saw this, Its a battlestar on its way to the 13th colony.
3 Seconds later 4 romulan warbirds uncloak and claim the enterprise is in treaty violation. HAHAHa
Romulans were heavily into gaslighting.
"The control system's not operative sir."
Data used a contraction.
I request...
*'The Inner Light'*
My all time fav TNG episode.
Yours and everyone else's.
There’s a great deal of radiation…I’ll prepare an away team!
It’s always important to send the blind guy first.
How does the crew embark on a mission like this without gasmasks or protective gear.
I think it would’ve been interesting if we got to see through LaForge’s visor more often throughout the entire show
As much as i hate deepfake, having TNG run forever (till i die at least) would be cool. Amd SG1, mcgyver and some other shows
Remember to always board a badly damaged space ship in the vacuum and radiation of deep space in your onesie with no protective gear or rescue equipment.
For some reason, they didn't have body cams in the future!
Tiny digital cameras capable of wireless data transmission were probably an SF concept beyond their then primitive imaginings.
The biggest mystery being why a cheap freighter doesn't need huge warp nacelles like Starfleet ships do (and the nacelles just seem to keep getting bigger the more "advanced" the Federation gets).
Maybe bigger ones means more power?
@@thomasw4422 - Also means a bigger target for enemies to shoot at. If you lose the nacelles, you lose the ability to go to warp.
'Toxic?'
'Nah, it'll be fine!'
Captain, from the state of these broken dryer vent hoses we appear to be near a budget laundromat. This is a fire hazard.
If it looks like a Borg ship inside and has some green party lights, it probably is a Borg ship.
Party Lights LOL 😄😄😄
What really gets me is how advanced enterprise has to be when the command post looks like a art-deco living room with comfy chairs and a few touch screens. While everybody is chatting all worry and shit, watching this enormous window which also is a monitor and scanner. Moreover teleporting to a dubious starship without protective clothing or breathing apparatus in an apparent toxic atmosphere and with a such small party, speaks volumes of their tecnical knowledge, extremely advanced genetics, robotics and military skills, the ones currently unknown to us.🤔
Wow really think a damaged spaceship full of toxic gas would be the right time to bring a space suit
The black guy : short , high pitched , excited voice , lots of dainty arm and hand waiving while walking. The white guy : tall , deep voice calm sounding , walks into danger in masculine manly way.
IT'S A BATTLESTAR!
I was waiting for Adamma to say hi 😂
There is a simple reason they don't have respirators... at this point the show was so low budget making two sci fi gas mask props would have blown the budget.
I'm guessing OSHA, like currency, is obsolete at this time.
3:10 "Riker to Enterprise! Beam me over three hazmat suits, we've got some dangerous environmental conditions over here"
"Picard to Riker, I'm sorry Number One, that would make too much sense and damage several plot points. You'll have to make do. Picard out!"
Thought that was the gallactica for a sec 🤔
In the real world who is on an away team would depend on the situation. Every away team would have a command officer and one or two security personnel. The rest would be specialists with the given situation.
Geordi's vision looks like an LSD trip. Lucky blind bastard
Picard."What is it,what do you see"? Away team in the 23rd century with no go pro built into a com badge?
The temperatures were too high and the gas too toxic for humans yet they walked straight through it with no ill effects.
Yes
Why not beam a dispensable scout droid instead of high value organics ?
Yes it is
the actors are all (relatively) so young in this episode
Rather than opt for any of a number of dangerous alternative routes, why not just transport them from one part of the ship to the other?
Strangely, environmental happenstance heavily and detrimentally affect the operation of the transporter.
Looks more like the Galatica - Are there Cylons lurking around?
ah, can always tell a Robin Sellex upload for the intolerable fluttering bass sounding like a horrible gusting wind on the cheapest headphones through the entire clip
ANything from Season 1 makes me feel uncomfortable. Beardless Riker, Weird looking Worf, and god awful Tasha Yar. Only thing missing is "What will I look like this episode?" Troy. Thankfully they got it right for Season 2.
