    Great video, you would be surprised how many people I come across that can’t tie a loop to loop. So that’s good to see you do some instruction on that before the fishing. Wish you some nice weather and some big fish bud! Shout out from northern BC

      Thanks so much for watching! I am hoping to get up your way next year to target some of the beautiful big 'Bows you boys have up that way!

    My no 1 fly is a eggstacy worm sockeye pink usually 4ft below the indicator . Especially in winter

      Thanks for watching!
      I absolutely love my little boat. The super wide beam makes it very stable for standing while casting.

    Nice Slab in the Net! It will be a long 5 months of watching videos. I hear ya in your other video regarding Go Pro issues. They always been buggy , but it seems I have less issues with the Hero 7 Black then newer ones. I wish they were quicker to start recording as well, but cool Action camera! Keep on Pumpin Out The Videos Dude!

      I am currently using hero 8 black and batteries are becoming harder and harder to find. Ive tried a few of the after market brands and almost all over heat on me.
      I am probably going to give the DJI Osmo 4 a shot as my next action cam.

    One of my favorite lakes. For some reason the trout are much stronger there. A 14 inch Rainbow fights like a 20.

    how far below the indicator is your leech? Thanks,

    • @TightLinesNW
      @TightLinesNW  10 місяців тому

      That typically depends on water depth. I am usually trying to stay 1-2 feet off the bottom of the lake, or if its weedy 1-2 feet off the tops of the weeds.
      I generally wont fish any deeper than 15' +/- or any shallower than 4' +/-.
      If I need to present my flies outside of that range I will use a different tactic.

      I have a Marlon SP12. It's a 12' Jon boat with a super wide beam. 59" if I remember correctly.
      I've made a few minor modifications on it and I absolutely love it.

      On its day it's hard to beat, but, there are certainly more engaging ways to fly fish lakes!
