There's someone like this in New Zealand who restored my Rolls Royce trim and it took him about 3 months to do since he just does it in his garage in his spare time. I was skeptical but sure enough the result was even better than a factory finish. Truly amazing skills and patience needed. Sadly a lot of these skills are getting lost now because people retire and young people and no longer interested in picking up these skills...
Great work guys, glad to see you handing over the stills to the next generation. Really lovely workmanship. You should be proud of each and every piece.
Very nice! Interesting the way the pre XJ Jaguar wood was originally done-the whole part being veneered in the light Walnut sap wood which acts as a cross banding, and then the darker face burr Walnut over that. Edges and angles then planed/sanded away to expose the lighter sap wood. This is what many assume are inlay strips, but are actually just exposed areas of cross banding playing that decorative role. Good stuff, make you wonder how they built them for the price!
Howdy UK wood guys, done massive wood myself, Rolls, Bentley, MBZ, Jag, Packard, Horsch, woodie's, structural body wood, steering wheels, limo bars. Back in the 70's I used lacquer, 25 coats needed, in the 80's I switched to resin, same as RR & MBZ, it builds quicker and shrinks less. Just a tip, you guys do great work. Thank you for a look, cheers.
I have yet to see a someone do this to bmw e46 wood trim. I contacted a few guys on UA-cam who do these Jags and Range Rovers and they all say “it’s the same process” Well why is there not one single thing online of someone actually completing this process on e46 Myrtle or Birch trim?
My 1965 Mark 10 needs the wood refinished. Do your jobs come in bundled for shipping or some kind of crate to protect them? I'm on the West Coast of USA. Can this kind of quality be found on these shores?
Hello, my friend, how are you to admire this wonderful work.. I am from Iraq. I work in the field of art professionally and creatively, the same as your work, and I would like to communicate with you if possible

Lots of work into restoring Wood trim pieces, but boy do they look incredible.
I visited today and to touch and hold these veneered parts was a privilege; such beautiful work.

These guys are brilliant, did a super job of refinishing my silver spirits door fillets and rear c pillar mirror trims.
Incredible work. Thank you.
So respect this.. I Always wanted to add wood trim to my car that never was offered it. Soo cool.
Love the idea that Top Gear is showing all aspects cof motoring, not just b look blasting around a track.
Great professional work ! Well done guys
Fascinating, great video showing the complexities of the process, thanks Andrew
WOW. What a amazing job the boys have done. Brilliant craftsmanship. Keep up the excellent work.

I love this series, absolutely love it. But why isn't cost of the projects mentioned?
Hy, Aldin good question. I can tell you that the average price to restore the whole wood set of a Jaguar MK2 is £2500. Thanks :)
Good old-fashioned technology.
Jaguars of the Good Old Days.😉💞
Awesome job guys 👌😎👌
Thanks, appreciate it :)
Good
Very cool! Good job!
Top gear = sick videos
Lovely job 🚘🚙🚗👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice 👍
This type of content. Not poorly detailing dirty objects and failing to break out yellow paint for a Cat.
.
Dope, early to a top gear video 😅
Great work to bring back such a beautiful look. Only annoying thing was the music.

I've restored hundreds of dashboard wood. If you need someone to the process, no big deal to give the details. I'm in Southern California.
POG 😎👍

at 2.16 dead centre there is a face in the woodgrain [wearing goggles]
It's great, my channel also has many super cars.
Just compare this content to back when the goats was on the show...
Me and 476 people saw this before you!! #early
???
Dreadful dreadful music
I prefer carbon in real plastic.
Just get a roll of sticky fake carbon fibre roll from Halfords. Much easier 😄
