Yessssirrrr, I haven't been running cause my my knees hurt and calves aren't recovering, just been watching your vids that are making want to buy shoes I don't need lol.
Love your channel bro. Keep up the outstanding work. I will buy the sl2 only through an affiliate link from your page. I have plenty of shoes but want to support and help you grow
NB Balos is launching August 14 and there's a review page on Fleet Feet and Running Warehouse. $200 is pretty pricey but I look forward to your review on whether or not it's worth it.
I bought a barely used pair alpha fly 1s for cheap and my god as a middle packer half marathoner 1:50 it works better for me vs: Endorphin pro 3 ASICS super blast Hoka cielo X1
Thanks for the video! Great content! I love the rebel v4, they are so light and breathable but I have some problems on the back on the heel, which type of socks would you recommend using with those shoes?
I used the Feetures elite max cushion ones. The OS1st brand is also great. Any running sock brand that has the padding around the Achilles should help with that
RE: Mach 6 sizing, just chatted with someone on Reddit who claims to have both the pink and white colorways and had to go up 1/2 in both and they fit identical.
Believe it or not they’re super easy to clean. I have 150 miles on mine, about 50 in Mexico City and a quick scrub gets off layers of dirt looking nearly newz
Dude Mach 6 in the wide = one of the most versatile shoes I have run in (long run capable for sure). It's the first wide shoe I have ever purchased in my life and it fits like a normal shoe tbh. Not sure wtf they did with the sizing on these things.
That's great to hear man - I've loved them for everything so far. I need to do a long run in mine soon ... I had to take a break from tight shoes after the sky Paris destroyed my toes 😂
I find that I appreciate the extra support on some runs due to my mileage level - it's nice to have a little extra help feeling supported when I'm tired. But in the case of the 860 I really just love the midsole setup and the way the two foams work together with the rocker. It does have that extra stability but it's not super noticeable
Your SL2 reviews reshuffled my thoughts on my next shoe 😁. So I will appreciate your 2 cents. I’m a recreational runner ,3-4 days a week,137lbs, easy pace half marathon in 1:56. I always was one shoe guy, but recently I purchased the speed 3 and bit by the shoe bug. (The Boston 12 and superblast 🤤) Probably I need to add an easy miles shoe at first and my original thought was the triumph 21. Does the SL2, mach 6 or other alternative more suitable for my needs? Thanks 🙏🏼
Really great video! In fact I am a big fan of all your videos! I agree with everything you said about the New Balance 860v14, especially the stability and comfort. I have it. If you could name one other shoe besides that one to trade off with, what would you suggest? (By the way, I tried Hoka, many styles and I just don't like the look or feel of them.)
Thank you! I'd suggest the Adidas Adizero SL2 - it's a little softer than the 860 with more bounce and fun. It's not as stable but if you don't need stability in every run, then it's a great choice. If you want something a little more stable, I'd suggest the Asics novablast 4. It has great cushion and comfort and is awesome for longer runs
I wanna get your recommendation of the Hoka Skyward X and New Balance Rebel v4 to replace a few shoes of mine. I love some of your recommendations thus far like the New Balance 1080v13.
I love the skyward X - it's definitely my favorite of the max cushioned plated shoe. Super bouncy and fun while still being comfortable. If you want something that makes it a lot easier on the legs I would highly recommend. Rebel v4 is good if you want a lightweight and fast shoe - it doesn't have as much cushion and isn't as comfortable for relaxed miles, but if you have the 1080 and/or Skyward X as well then you should be good with using that rebel for just those faster miles. Also the Skyward X toebox isn't too narrow compared to other hokas
@supwell Thanks for that extra peanutbutter breakdown, jelly shakedown! I have the Skyward X incoming actually in the lemonade colorway and am also gonna order the Rebel v4. Wanted the New Balance Trainer v3 but doesn't drop till August.
Thank you! Novablast 4 upper is pretty thick and not the most breathable - same reason I didn't include the Skyward X. Both are okay but wouldn't be my first choice for warm weather running
Yo! Wana! I tried the 860 v14 and it’s great so thank you for bringing it to my attention. It came just in time as I discovered I have some slight pronation problems. The 860 v14 is non-obtrusive and gives me the slight guidance I think I will need. I also tried the SL2 but didn’t fit my foot right, which was so disappointing because that midsole is something special. Thanks again and keep putting in that work big dawg
Thank you! 🙌🏽 glad the 860 worked for you and sorry to hear about the SL2. Hoka Mach 6 and brooks Hyperion 2 are great alternatives if you're in the market for a fast and light training shoe. The Hyperion 2 even has a stability version the GTS
@@supwell I tried the Mach 6 too. And I had the same issues that I had with the SL2. I have wide feet and those shoes were too narrow for me. Good call on the Hyperion 2 GTS, I’ll have to try that out.
In the Florida summer, breathability is key. Boston 12, Rebel v4, and NB SC trainer V2 are what I wear. Honorable mention is the Speed 4 but it’s borderline.
@@SuperGanglesI’ve heard a few heavy runners say the 1080 is too soft for their liking that’s why I ended up taking the 860. The max cushion does feel great tho on the 1080

Shout out to Charlie (spelling?) for supporting the “clown behavior” 😂😂
Thoughts on comparing SL2 vs Vomero?

F. for size 13 where there is no half size up. Might retry with a wide instead.
How is that all white Mach 6 still so clean?
Believe it or not they’re super easy to clean. I have 150 miles on mine, about 50 in Mexico City and a quick scrub gets off layers of dirt looking nearly newz
Yowana, I gotta go to bed. But this video just hit the streets. Come on man! 😂
🤦♂️
between the SL2, Mach 6 and Rebel V4, which of these do you think that i can take it for a half or maybe up to full marathon race? Thanks!
Are you going to be reviewing the More v5?

The white 860v14 is clean 👌. The website pic's a little misleading. More white than grey in-person.
lovin the mach 6s i picked up! only thing i dislike is that i go too fast on recovery runs with them 😆
I’m curious about the interest in the 860. Do people who aren’t “stability runners”/overpronators benefit from stability shoes?

The Supernova Rise is an excellent easy day shoe.
Thanks for this! Very useful recs for me in this crazy south Florida heat and humidity.
My man making sound affects like he work for Star Wars. 😂

Can you do a comparison between SL2, Supernova Rise and 860 v14?
👍🏻
This is the week of the adidas adizero SL2. I really looking forward to get my feet on those soon. From Yowana link of course. 😊
CRAFT ;)
Cloudmonster 2 has been my go to since my marathon last month. Took 30 miles to soften up the foam but an enjoyable mile eater.

Just ordered some crocs using your link! Keep it up 💯
Thanks for the shout out! You’ve been nailing the feeling of running in the Adizero SL. Absolutely love that shoe.
