@@leonugraha ye I think that people who bought the M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pros wont probably upgrade since there is no point. The 2021 MacBook Pros are already superior and they will easily last for a long time.

I’ve got 16inch m2max a few weeks ago and I recommend to anyone who is using a device before m1 macs. I’ve had 2019 i9 maxed out model and I can’t stress enough how big the performance difference between those machines. Yes, i9 was good, fine one but this is absolutely something else. Most reviews are based on video rendering however you’ll also see the difference if you’re a developer. Node, npm packages, mobile simulators everything works so good, it’s a joy to work with. On top of that, Ableton performance is crazy, multiple Serum and built-in synth vsts won’t cause any cpu spikes. Just make sure that you installed arm version of softwares / packages.
13.0 installed pretty much confirms these were supposed to be released last year.

Hey, great content! One question; is it getting hot? I mean I currently use m1 pro 14 but will upgrade to m2 max 14 and wonder how hot it gets. My current m1 pro one not even gets hot but also hardly turn on fans any under hard workload which I like the most but I need some faster chip. Thanks in advance!
yeah i have the base model of macbook pro 2021 and i agree with what u said. i was thinking to upgrade this year but i think it's better to invest on something else thats gonna help my work. thanks

I just updated my iPhone 7 Plus and my iPhone 6 to these versions today morning and I wanted to see what’s new and/or patched.

i agree with you! the M1 max i have 16" is plenty for my uses! i'll maybe consider upgrading when my Applecare + (nov 2024 exp) finally finishes. which should give plenty of time until the m3 max? since we got about a year and 10 months to go!
The new space grey looks like dark silver and it's really nice. I think I gonna take this color for my next MacBook.

Im from Mexico and the M2s are actually cheaper than the M1s here. Sucks I can’t get a 2021 base model from less money…
The M2 has a better battery life, higher quality 1080p camera, ~20% faster performance, HDMI for 4k 120hz output, and WiFi 6E. It's still the better choice for people who aren't upgrading
@@pepsico815 but it's ssd worse than before (just like M2 unless you upgrade to 1tb), hotter too. So I'm not sure it's worth it if you choose the base model M2 pro, not to mention some places are more expensive
@@PhuNguyen-my9un Nobody will ever notice any slowdown from the SSD, it's already faster than almost everything else out there. These are just things that influencers and reviewers like to focus on because it gets them clicks and views
@@pepsico815 you’re kinda contradicting yourself. you say that the ssd speeds won’t matter in the end, yet, you boast about the M2 MBP having wifi 6E, hdmi 2.1 and 1080p camera… things that won’t really matter to people who doesn’t have the latest wifi network or never use their webcam. yes, the ssd speeds “won’t” be noticed, but launching a product that is supposed to be the better version of the previous with the second most important component being inferior doesn’t look too good. That was the main criticism of the M2 MBA, you’re overpaying $200 for an ssd that’s half the speed of the previous model
I waited for M2 so that any ARM migration bugs had time to be fixed. I hope I'm not disappointed.

I have macbook pro m2, I don't know why it's not that famous .. but macbook pro m2 is so so so good .. and people saying touch bar was unnecessary , once you get used to that, without touchbar laptop seems so irritating without all the shortcuts ... seriously macbook pro m2 is so good

I’ve been using it for years and I am automatically charged every month, but I have not been able to use it or review past calls now for over a month and I cannot get any answers or access. Does it still work for you? Are you able to try it???
I don't need a M2 pro MacBook Pro. But, I really want one. My M1 MacBook air (8gb ram 256 SSD) does what I need it to do. However, upgrading to an M2 pro MacBook Pro would be an upgrade that I would keep for years.

I have the base M1 14 MBP for a couple of months now , I just use it for general duties browsing the web ,shopping , watching the tube , don't really make it work hard , but I've never heard the fans come on once , its a beauty for my use .

Hi, Jose from Puerto Rico and subscriber. I got an M1 MacBook Pro 16" with 2Tb storage and 64 gigs of ram. I think I will take your advice and hold on to mine for a couple of years. It's still an amazing powerhouse, and I use it primarily with an external monitor. Thanks for the great video as always.
WiFi 6E is way faster on my iPad Pro M2 I get over 1300 Mbps download and 1000 Mbps upload. Compared to WiFi 6 which usually maxes out at 700 Mbps download. If you only have a 500 Mbps plan or lower then Wifi 6E wouldn’t be worth it but for Gigabit plus it is.

I've never been a Mac fan, honestly, I think most IT professionals are in the same boat, but Apple has truly been setting themselves apart. I find it hard to find something that can match the pleasing aesthetics and power of Mac but Windows or Linux based. Gonna have to pick one of these up soon to replace my current laptops.

I’m still retaining the Intel-powered 16-inch MacBook (2019). Our Apple’s local reseller had offered me the chance to trade it in for its Apple Silicon counterpart, but I declined because I still love the TouchBar besides the 1TB SSD. They didn’t actually offer a fair price for my laptop. Au contraire, I would have to shell out an eye-watering amount for the new model as part of their trade-in deal.
I have both, and while I like the Touch Bar, I never use it any more. It is something that you won't miss if you upgrade, and the new features are well worth it.
Debating one of these for uni as gunna have to last me 4 years tho not sure to go either silver or space grey 🤷♂️

For me below works best :
1) For portability - I use M2 macbook air , as it is thin and light to carry. For serious editing works , we dont have to carry M2 Max 14-inch to coffee shops for works LOL 🤣which some people show in youtube.
2) For home desktop /portable desktop - connecting to external monitor - M2 pro mac mini is the best . We dont have to unplug and replug multiple times as in macbook pros.
M2 max compute test score is actually 85000
As an owner of in every aspect maxed out MacBook Pro 13“ 2020 and MacBook Pro 16“ M1 Max I must say these machines are graceful and great in every way! Only the Dell XPS 17 can match them from a Windows and style perspective…but the Dell stucks currently on 32 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD for whatever reason…no comparison to the capacity Apple offers. External SSDs aren’t really good…so Apple is just fine for getting work done 👍🏻

Personally I don't understand why they didn't remove the notch and make it dynamic island or pill shape and add face id
Personally I really like the notch on the iphones (both dynamic and old notch) but the notch on the Macs just look too weird for me and offers no functionality
By putting the system menu on the top bezel, it makes use of empty space both left and right of the camera.
It's a quirk of the operating system and user interface that this is an option at all. Perhaps Apple should offer a system preference to place the system menu below the camera like previous macbooks and fill the bezel area with black.
@@Lost_In_LA But some apps actually you can't read the options since they want to be shown exactly where the notch is.

The notch doesn't bother me on the iphones but it just looks weird to me on the macs

Not sure, but I’m surprised they didn’t update it yet. Some reports say that it won’t get an M2 and they’ll jump right to M3.

Overall I say 512 gb m2 pro MacBook pro ssd also slowed down however in benchmarks cpu and gpu m2 pro is faster but in ram management and rendering m1 pro and m2 pro base are almost same only 2-3 seconds difference because m1 pro has faster ssd.
