One thing that i always use when i play crypto: When i get shield cracked and I'm tryna run away, i will put my drone around a corner and use emp. It only damages your shields, so if you are shieldcracked, it will only slow you down but not damage you. So basically the enemies will either continue to push and get countered by my team, or they run away and let me heal
The banner pings should be more specific though especially for players who may stray far from Crypto. Crypto definitely needs a passive like "off the Grid".
You should most definitely be able to hit your ultimate and continue moving the drone. Keep trying! It's a lot of micro managing and going in and out. Moving the drone to accommodate your teammates. Also try not to EMP your teammates. It will stun them. Crypto has changed a lot sense this video.
Crypto’s passive is all the things the drone can do. He can pick up banners remotely, check how many squads in area, he can scan indefinitely, etc. I hate that people complain about Crypto’s passive. He’s powerful
@@cuzzohh2768 I think he’s a hard Legend to Master. I’ve played some of my best games, whether support, recon, ratting, aggressive, or balanced, with Crypto. My best friend taught me how to yo-yo the drone, and I’ve learned how to quickly place the drone in high scan/low risk spots. I even developed a technique of placing the drone by scanning beacons, but facing the banners. So if I quickly monitor nearby squads, and scan if there are any concerns. I’m trash and Crypto has been nigh OP in my hands in some games, even when I was clearly outclassed.

The only real buff I would want, because it makes sense with the lore, is he should be able to actually hack things… Like the loot vault on World’s Edge. Or even hack Marvin… maybe for a penalty like he his drone explodes and takes 3-5 times as long to recharge or something.
He needs more fix his usage rate is the worst -drone recharge 30sec instead 40sec -when drone is station the glow is smaller and noise is quieter -enemies can't hear drone unless they're 12m in range -enemies can't see glow unless they're 15m in range or using scope -emp only 50dmg to self if he's close to middle if he's in edge it's 25
There's no trick to make the drone go faster. You can slide down hills while going into the drone.. I haven't checked lately but I also don't believe any of his upgrades make his drone faster as well. I may be wrong.
Got my first 2k ever last night, and it was as Crypto. That EMP, combined with getting to grab banners/res teammates remotely, let me grind up enough damage and buy time to force the last two squads to fight. Then we got to walk in and clean up, it was awesome. Tl;dr: Go play Crypto you fuckin chumps he's awesome.
