I’ve always thought Crypto was interesting and with the new update having him scan beacons to reveal all other enemies and bloodhound and seer nerfs this guy should be top tier. I’m using my heirlooms from this event to get his and never looking back.
Yeah this guy cryptos! Awesome guide! I like to queue up a slide jump as im transitioning to the drone to keep me moving as much as possible (and you are also able to queue up a heal/charge a weapon at the same time too)! Crypto is the best multi tasking legend!
One satisfying thing to pull off is when escaping throwing your drone behind a rock/cover while sliding and them EMPing the people that follow you. you might even have health advantage if you can quickly pop a battery and then beam them when they are scanned (people are sometimes confused after being EMPed). or even if not EMP you atleast get the info if you're being followed or not. they might also want to destroy the drone which might give you extra bit of time to escape
yesterday i killed the whole squad like this. we all were running from the fifth zone, that enemy squad was already low after their last tough fight and tried to chase me, so just left my drone behind the rock, used emp, it slowed them down, damaged a bit and they fell one after another outside the closing ring. i was laughing like a damn villain 😂
As a Crypto main with almost 6k kills this was a very well detailed guide. Glad to know there's more of us out there :) also idk about the super jump with placing Hack under a door in worlds edge
nah a good passive for him is (that he is unable to be scan from other legends scan abilities making him undetected to all scan like a ghost and even when he flying his drone) it make snice because of his name. Crypto. what yall think?
i did not know about the seer and crypto thing, that's so OP that he cant cancel your heals n also that you don't get scanned if your drone is outside!! Crypto is way more OP now in S17 cuz most ppl just camp

Having a character with mobility such as Wraith,Valk, or Horizon is always nice to play with. He also works well with Wattson, and I like playing him wtih Maggie
Crypto is so fun. Feels like i’m always doing 50 things at once. Pinging banners, watching over teammates, scanning stuff, all while keeping up with the team etc etc. Like how does anyone enjoy playing Bloodhound, what a boring way to play 😟

With crytpo, when you launch the drone it travels a certain distance but when you hold the ability button the drone travels a very short distance. I thought I saw on some gameplay that you can enter the drone where it has traveled the long distance when you launch it, is this possible and if so, how?
Pretty much anything that's a mid/long range and a close range weapon is good, and he is played more as a support character :D I'll go more in-depth in this in my next video!

But what about his passive buff. Off the grid. He could disappear and go live in the forest meaning players need to hunt him down to win and he will be off the grid so it will be hard to find him because he is off the grid.
I really liked this guide, my girlfriend really likes apex so I’m trying to get into it and I really like crypto, and I’m trying to get better so she doesn’t have to carry me all the time😂
only thing you didn't mention or maybe this is just a person preference you can us his drone to draw attention to another squad that isn't ur own..... simply hav your team wait and not engage team in good position fly hack around and be annoying make them want to shoot you and watch how the other squads in the area rush in thinking they can 3rd party a fight or maybe they just sweaty..... also i've won games by just zappping people who took late fights in ring 4
Missed so much stuff. One of the biggest you missed is how the banners shows squads up to 200m from where crypto is standing and it’s pretty much the whole mini map. ESP in smaller rings you can use this to pin point exactly where teams are without seeing them. Huge miss what a shame with 17k kills

Crypto looks like he's gonna be pretty ok next season, I've seen pretty mixed opinions about him without beacon scan. BH and him have pretty different styles though

It will spawn a white raven when you start your ult and I think it will spawn another one when you kill enemies in your ult. He's not as nerfed as people think, but he will require some more skill to play. But I'm a crypto main so come join us.

Part of the reason I made this guide was to show that Crypto doesn't need changes at all, the character just is different and hard to play, but he's useful in the right hands
Maybe crypto will actually get a passive this season, and not yk, his ability that makes him a scan legend😒 but until enough players play him and say he needs changes I dont think they will realize
I think Crypto EMP should be able to completely knock Ash, Revenant, pathfinder, and handicap all Octanes. It would be OP but it makes more sense than not being able to.

I think Crypto can work well with most gun combinations, usually I'll run a rifle/shotgun or rifle/smg, Crypto also works pretty well with snipers

Just a little question :
During EMP, the closer you are the more damage you deal, or when you are in the EMp you take 50 damage on the shield ?
His drone will deal 50 damage to all enemies in the EMP area regardless of how close the enemy is to the drone. GLHF on your games

Crypto should st least be sble to be immune to his own emp. You would be sble to play him as a skirmisher/assault
