In my experience, studying the language as “Serbo-Croatian” with instructors from Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia: the Serbian instructors used consecutive verbs as “conjugated ‘da’ conjugated” while the Bosnian and Croatian instructors used “conjugated infinitive” Russian is also the conjugated verb followed by an infinitive.
For "I will pass the exam" you can also use this structure :,, Ћу положим испит. " But, this form cannot be used in standard language. You can use this kind of building future form in informal speech and Kosovsko-resavski and Prizrensko-timočki dialects. 😂❤️

Мада у новије време иде модификација "Ја ћу да положим испит". Из неког разлога стандардни инфинитив код нас није превише заступљен и замењује се са "да+одговарајуће лице глагола".
@@MojeBlu Север и запад земље(мада мислим више север него запад) костисте инфинитив а југоситок и исток и донекле центар префирарју конструцију са "да". Зашто је то тако, не бих знао :). Можемо да анализирамо, рецимо Црна Гора, Босна и Хрватска такође користе инфинитив, посебно Хрватска, видимо да се запад и север Србије граниче са тим земљама, када се узме у обзир да је у време Вукове језичке реформе цео тај простор сагледаван као један језички простор, онда то можда нешто говори. Али рецимо ја знам да у Немачкој постоје још изразитије разлике у говору различитих крајева. Уосталом није то лоше, занимљивије је тако :)
Somehow I always remember song lyrics with this videos. This time it was "Možes imat' moje tijelo" by Zabranjeno Pušenje, the phrase "Da preživiš moraš radit vani" (from the lyrics) came to mind when you started explaining the modal verbs. I also noticed that the -i is missing both in "imat' " and "radit" is it common to shorten verbs in infinitive in this way?
Shortening verbs in infinitive is usual in Bosnia and Croatia, sometimes Montenegro. In Serbia not so much. Also note that in Serbia we more often use da+verb form instead of infinitive one. So, možeš imati>možeš da imaš, moraš raditi>moraš da radiš
'Prati zube' (brushing teeth) in this case is a noun phrase, but because 'zubi' is still an object that is receiving the action 'prati', it should be in akuzativ :)
Ću položim ispit. U mom dijalektu preferirani Futur. Tek sam u skoli čuo sa standardni Futur. A Infinitiv nikad u životu nisam koristio. 🤣 🤣 🤣 Džaba mi master sa filološkog u bg. 😑 😅

@@Milan-N Uvek sam bila fascinirana zašto se negde više koristi infinitiv a negde 'da + glagol' konstrukcija :)

As far as I know it is common in Montenegro, Bosnia and Croatia. It can be heard sometimes in western Serbia, but not too often.
