    Some words and most of the letters are identical to Russian, for example, "баба, деда, жена, ум, зима, ваза." How often is the Cyrillic alphabet used in Serbia? I've heard that most people use the Latin alphabet.

      @Adora Belle Dearheart How about kids? Is everything in the schools in Cyrrilic, books, Math, and tests? I have never seen a Serbian using Cyrillic, which is really sad. Serbian Cyrillic is the historical language of Serbia and represents the whole Serbian culture, I think it's sad that Serbia is using Latin instead of Cyrillic

      Now days when we are Economically Occupied by NATO, massively working for western companies and using English keyboards, we are using Latin more. But Cyrillic will always have a special place in our hearth and we will never abandon it... When I write with a pencil I use Cyrillic, on my phone i have a Cyrillic keyboard.. but for work on my PC i rarely bother to swap to Cyrillic as my work is 100% English and Googling is ofc way better in English... So yeah on PC as a Must or Convenience Latin, but in communication with locals Cyrillic because of the tradition :)

      @@nebojsaanelkovic2962 Хвала! Since that moment, I have learned a lot about Serbia! I always knew that Serbs are very close to Russians and I have always been drawn to learn as much as possible about your culture. And as it turned out, we have VERY much in common, and most importantly, we have a similar mentality, real brothers! Слава Сербии! Слава России!

    Very nice presentation. Could you do the same in cursive when time permits?
    Since you asked, there are two spellings for 'car' in English : Czar and Tsar, the most common being czar.

    I must just add that more and more Serbs are using "modern" writing of some letter. We write ž with three vertical lines, not with two lines broken in half. And L we write exactly the same us Greeks because it's much easier and faster to write it that way and there are probably more letters. So if u ever see hand-writen cyrillic text just remember that 😁

      I like the spider Zh. It reminds me of some ancient writings.

    • @MacakPodSIjemom
      @MacakPodSIjemom 3 роки тому

      It is not "modern" writing. For "vertical" Ж, it is just sloppy writing. For lambda-like Л, it is outdated or technical writing. The "modern" Л shape appeared only in 1840-s, before that only Λ shape existed. Most of the older people in writing use that, including my parents, because it is just easier to write than Л.

    Lj jeste kombinacija slova L i J isto koliko N i J za slovo NJ ili D i J za DJ tako su i nastala sjedinjenjem dva slova u trece govorno i pisano.
