- During the defamation trial on Thursday, ACLU COO and general counsel Terence Dougherty testified that Amber Heard stopped making payments to the ACLU in 2018 for her $3.5m pledge. He also testified that both Elon Musk and Johnny Depp made donations to the ACLU in Heard's name.

Side note: I hope Amber understands she ruined her own career... most of us never knew she existed and now most of us do not like her at all. Anything she is in from here on out is going to tank because most people will not want their money supporting her.

I doubt the UK justice system will ever permit a case like this to be re-opened. I've lost a lot of respect for the UK justice system in recent years.

Heards team keep trying to leave all statements on technical terms in order to consequently discredit them in the end (EVERYONES AT THIS POINT), where as Johnnys team would use facts and physical evidence and not creative wording to prove or disprove a point or telling of events.

They didn't rule him Guilty. They ruled that the Sun newspaper was not guilty of defamation according to the law. That doesn't mean Johnny is Guilty of anything. The laws of defamation are different in the UK than here in the US.

Amber was only a corroborating witness in Depp's defamation suit against a UK tabloid. The judge took her photos and DVRO as settled fact which required her to provide foundation. The Heard team cannot enter those same photos into this trial, she will have huge problems with their authenticity.

Also, did they really try to say "it doesn't matter that the money was from someone else and not from the money she was supposed to use, so long as it gets paid" fair enough from the charities point of view, but she very publicly, repeatedly, stated that the entire settlement would be donated, she hasn't done that. Over 10 years or not, that money was never supposed to go in her pocket, but it has. That IMHO discredits everything she said. Why over 10 years? So she can pay smaller amounts from the interest accrued by the 7mil total rather than loose out on it! And if the donation was so important to her, why not just donate it all immediately?

Is clear to me that Amber pretended that she was going to give the 3.5 Million to donations and decided to keep the money for herself. Johnny had already paid to her all the money she asked for, so this was just a device for her to get more money from him.
7 million actually. The other 3.5 million she got was supposed to be donated to a children’s hospital. She didn’t do that of course.

As far as the suit in the UK you are guilty until proven innocent. How do you prove you DIDN'T do something? They also accepted all of her evidence as valid without question. That's why Johnny lost that one.
This is the first time I'm hearing this "over the next 10 years" thing. I thought the deal was made in the divorce as for the money to go straight to the two charities since she specifically mentioned the fact that she doesn't want his money for herself and that that money would go to charities. My question here is: If the intention was to give the money to the charities then why wait up to 10 years to do it? Why bother with tiny 100k payments at all? Clearly the intention was never there to actually give the money away. Why does this matter? Because the whole reason she was awarded that amount at all is BECAUSE SHE PROMISED IT TO CHARITY!

The type of trust that was established works in the following way, A donor advised fund allows the person to invest a certain amount and pay the plegded amount over of a period of time, if the investment grows larger than the pledged amount the donor keeps the difference tax free

I think that what secured the "donation" for me is that Amber made the promise to donate to the two charities because she was trying to show that she was not out to get Johnny's money. She was accused of just wanting Johnny's money. She said: she did not NEED the money. She was trying to make a point about exposing Johnny as an abuser. So, she had to ask for the money. But, since she "didn't need the money, she would donate it".
To ME....that is a promise to DONATE the money to charity because she didn't NEED it.
She didn't just PLEDGE. She literally claimed in PUBLIC on LIVE INTERVIEWS in past tense that she had ALREADY donated half to ACLU and half to the hospital.
Everyone is paying her bills 😂
