Josh what i want to say to you is from my hart. You are the best instructor on wp website design with clear and calm professional buildings. I have to look at my subscribe list if i had you. I found you were not so i have to do that immediately. God bless you man.
Yeah sir , I call you sir because some decades I have been tried a many videos on UA-cam for a complete tutorials for a beginners I have watched a lot but only your video really make sense to me and only me , I have some of other friends as a beginners who has also has in provide from your video. For this reason you are nice teacher well done of that that you and never stop teach every necessary videos Thanks a lot this is David obeng from Germany.
Fantastic tutorial! Thanks so much. My old wordpress website was hacked. When I updated it, it looked awful. I decided to start over from scratch. I'm light years ahead of where I was and I ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU.
As a beginner I have been able to see several tutorials, but yours is simply excellent. I congratulate you and as I have subscribed I hope to see another one as good as this one. I RECOMMEND it for those who just start or for those who know a little but want to clear up doubts
+Dave Claussen Dave, I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for letting me know! Do you know specifically what made this video better than some of the others you watched?
+wpSculptor Numerous reasons. First and foremost, the introduction to the wonderful, free, Spacious WP theme and how to use it. Your video does not cover all of the stuff WP users should already know, and focuses on content. Clear video, steady voice with no extra fluff (ie: I remember my first WP site....) and constant examples of work just done by check the front side after each change. Keep up the good work and I look forward to going through your other videos. When folks like you give us WP beginners this type of instruction, and introduction to new, free themes, there is a chance we can become great WP site creators. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Its because of your training I was able started building my own site and grow my business. I always share your videos with anyone I know that is just starting out with Wordpress.
Thank you so much for the best Wordpress demo I have seen yet. You take viewers from beginner to advanced in less than 2 hours. You are also great at your demonstration and I was able to sit through the whole training without losing interest. Excellent information!
Awesome!!!! Answered a lot of questions about things I've always wondered about, that I've done work-arounds for. Very easy to apply. Thanks for your expertise. You are the expert!
Best Tutorial I have seen yet. Thanks so much. I wonder how many times I will watch this. I am going to have to index the times so I can find stuff. Can't wait to check out your other videos.
+wpSculptor So I did index that video and now I have every step indexed so I can find each module instantly. I have build 2 complete sites now with it. Your channel is great too!
wpSculptor If you had an affiliate site I could push referrals to you. I belong to a marketing group that is thousands strong. They all build multiple websites. Any thoughts. I will drop an email to you on your site so you can respond privately.
Whow. I am amazed by my final product. You are amazing. Your tutorial was fantastic. I really appreciate the time it must have taken you to produce and loved the additional information and lesson on where/how to create a logo, where to get images and how to edit them. In total it took me over 4 days to complete due to work and family but I did it!,!!!! . NEXT:-) may try the blog lesson then prepare for the intense 3+ hour tutorial. Stay blessed.
Awesome videos. I've learned more about website design from this video and lots of resources than I have from other videos. Thanks a lot. I will be looking for more from you, definitely!
Great tutorial ! Wow man, I learned quite a lot of things watching this. I really want to thank you for taking the time to make this video. This is going to help many people. Keep the vids coming !!!!
+wpSculptor i request you to come up with blogger and seo video if that is ok, i working on my website which is about phone and tech info would need more help from you in that way
You deserve my subscribe sir, I have seen your video almost 3 times, i have always had the idea of creating a website, but I had no idea what to share on this website, or how to organise it. This video was really helpfull, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank u very much! It is very useful for me, That I always used to be bit nervous about setting colors and developing logos ... lot more . You have shown me very elegant way of handling a web site .. Thanks a lot !!
Excellent instructions! Cant wait to start my newest biz website and blog! have 2 to make. a local and one for www. do you suggest anything different for optimal seo or other features between the two? both business just one of for local and the other one strickly online but want folks to find me online from both sites, different businesses.
Great Job I am really so happy with your tutorial and this video is exactly what i was looking for. I am beginner and I am trying to build up a professional website so i'll follow your tutorial. Thanks once again! :)
+pim Dirik Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know! I'm so glad you found what you were looking for in the video and you are most welcome!
+wpSculptor Sure the big thanks is for you, dear Josh i am looking for method to transfer Joomla website to Wordpress, can you maybe make a tutorial explain that? Thanks in advanced
+wpSculptor hey dude, I followed your tutorial and everything worked out. Now I got a question, maybe you can help out: I want to hide the logo, the title and the menu bar from one of my pages (cos it's a squeeze page). I did the whole css thing but it didn't seem to work. Any ideas? Here's a couple things I used: .page-id-739 #nav-second, .page-id-739 #nav-main { display:none; } or .page-id-2 #nav-container { display: none; } nothing seems to work
Totally Love your videos man! Thank you so much for putting in the time and energy! I'm thinking of setting up a food recipe blog-website,could you please suggest an awesome free theme ?
Thank you for creating this tutorial! It has been so helpful. I don't see a theme options tab under appearance in my wordpress dashboard. Do you know why that is?
Hello Josh, I watched this video for using the spacious theme, and really like it! You are a very good instructor. I have a couple questions hopefully you answer for me! I did the slider for the home page, but on the rest of the pages there is nothing at the top for a header image. Can I put different header images on different pages and still have the slider on the home page? Also the slider only allows 5 images to rotate, is there a way to add more or get a new slider plug-in that does?
+Ken Lenz Hey Ken, you can always try using a different slider plugin such as meta slider lite to add more images. Also, I believe you can purchase the premium version of Spacious to be able to show more slides. As for adding a heaer image on different pages, you can always use the visual editor and "add media" at the top to add images.
Great Tutorial - for a wordpress "newbie". Thank you sooo much!!! Note some of the customise information is out of date - though I was able to work out how to find it.
Thank you for the lessons one question the pictures are going on upside down and the wrong size how do i rotate them please thanks again i have learned alot more than in the past !!!!!
Good deal George, you are very welcome! Sorry for the delay, hopefully you have it figured out by now. I'd try going to "Media" "Library" then click on the image you want to rotate/resize and then click on "edit image". That will pull up options for rotating and resizing.
wpSculptor Why not Josh! We all have to start from somewhere. if it helps, I love sharing knowledge like yourself. I am thanking you kindly for your reply.
Hi WPSculpter. Thanks a ton for your tutorial. I thought the process was pretty clear but lost quite a bit of time by resizing images to make them look good. Had to browse around to find the correct sizes for featured image etc and had to test, look for another resource, test again,... Do you have any trustworthy 'go to' resource that you know keep current?
Thank you so much Mr. Jackson! I have learned so much. What more can I do to contribute? Also there are some new changes in spacious, for example theme options is different but it is not a big deal. However, I couldn't go in an edit the contact us part so that I could change my email. Also the elegant theme site has changed and I could not find the icons. Q: Do you have a video that teaches how to set up your site to receive payments and orders? Once again thanks a lot!
+Jonathan Munoz Hey Jonathan, you are very welcome! You can help by spreading the word and pointing people to my tutorials, thank you so much! To edit the contact form, make sure you are using the contact form 7 plugin and go to "contact", "contact forms" and click on your contact form and then click on the "mail" tab and you can change your address there and then save on the right. Then copy the shortcode (highlighted in blue) above the contact form settings and paste that into your contact page. Also, the elegant themes icons should be here: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/freebie-of-the-week/free-line-style-icons As for a video on receiving orders and payments, I do have a couple of woocommerce video tutorials on my channel but they would be primarily for selling products. You could use woocommerce to sell services as well.
this is so amazing, did everything, just have a question about the header image, mine shows to be set to 1400x400 and is not clickable, i might be doing something wrong, seems it is a bit difference for theme options design, other than that great information, tons of free resources, thanks very much.
+Ferz Nator Thanks Ferz, I really appreciate that. In this tutorial I just use a logo and not an actual header image. With the spacious theme, the header image won't be clickable but the logo will be. To add a logo, you can go to "appearance" "customize" "header" "header logo".
baidaraka Thanks! To use the slideshow included with the theme you would need to upgrade to the Pro version to have more than 5 slides. You can probably use another slideshow plugin such as meta slider lite to have more than 5 slides and you can add a slideshow to your homepage using shortcodes.
smallbusinesspage.org You are welcome! I really like Spacious but you could also try out the Virtue theme. I do have a tutorial with the virtue theme that you can view here: ua-cam.com/video/xUugV3B43Mo/v-deo.html
I am really enjoying your tutorial, logical and to the point - that is helpful. Since you made this video, Theme Options has been migrated to Customizer. Do you have a section on this somewhere or do you know of a good tutorial for it? Thanks!
+Renee Thompson Hey Renee, thanks for the compliment! To answer your question, I don't but the same basic options should still exist just in the new location.
+TheRCVlog Thanks! The premium version of Spacious is compatible with the Woocommerce plugin. You can purchase it by going to "appearance" "customize".
Hello guys! I thank you Josh for this awesome tutorial. I am using this video tutorial, the Contact Us page appears on the Home page by default. Can you please tell me how to take it off?
Did a site for my sister, everything just as you said and it went perfect. just wish there were more tools to edit, the colors and fonts.. Thanks For Everything
Anthony Notarino Thank you so much Anthony and I'm so glad to hear it! You might look into the premium version of the Spacious theme to get additional tools/options.
Good day! Your tutorial is simple, crisp and EZ to understand! Could you show me a video where I can create "Register" on WooCommerce? I downloaded the plug in but then I don't know how it can be linked to my Register Page. Thank you!
+Aki'Ra halera Yashiro Hey Aki'Ra, thank you so much for the compliments! I'm not sure how you have your registration page set up but with the woocommerce plugin you can enable registration (so that your users can save their personal info (name, billing address, shipping address, etc...). To setup the "my account" page, go to woocommerce, settings, accounts, and then choose the page you want to be your account page and then at the bottom, you "enable registration on my account page" and then save the changes at the bottom. Then you can add your my account page to your navigation menu so users can access it.
actually its amazing. I have a question what is the temples can provide me with all business features like payment (credit Card,PayPal)shopping Cart ,, etc?
Reda Mohamed Hi Reda, it sounds like you will need to add eCommerce functionality to your site. I would check out one of my eCommerce tutorials here: ua-cam.com/video/99TcAQ0kDsM/v-deo.html
hi I love your website tutorials, it would be great if you had a photoshop tutorial because you are awesome at explaining how to do something... very user friendly
Hi, I found a little mistake "Downloading and installing the free mobile friendly Virtue theme from Kadence Themes" at 21:58... but it's Spacious theme...
Hey Josh, I really like your videos. They are really helpfull and very professional too! By any chance you going to make a video on to how to create professional wordpress blog website? Thanks.
Augustas Krikščionaitis Hey Augustas, check out this video which goes over blogging features: ua-cam.com/video/j0WeL7H14P8/v-deo.html (There is a table of contents with time stamps in the video description.)
+Sha Sha You are very welcome! You can try woocommerce but I think you might have to upgrade to the pro version of the spacious theme to make it woocommerce compatible.
Thank you very much sir, I have designed two websites with the help of your video tutorial. It's very clear and excellent. Please suggest me any theme to design college website.
+Narasimha Rao Thanks Narasimha! I would suggest the Divi theme if you are willing to spend a little bit of money on it. I have a tutorial on my channel here: ua-cam.com/video/0vMO_L_aBZA/v-deo.html
Hi there...great tutorial. I am using WP and had to figure out much of what I had to do. Wish I had stumbled upon this earlier. I saw something on another website that I am hoping to incorporate into my WP homepage. A video background. Is this do-able in WP? Thanks in advance!
49:50 Can you make the images on top of each other? So you can only see one image, but when you click on it, you will be able to scroll like you do at 50:00 ?¨ Great tutorial btw! Really enjoyed watching it!
Pertaining to 22:10 in your video; It doesn't have the option to click on 'Wordpress.org Themes'. I only have the 'Add new' option and as for the search bar: it's only letting me search for installed themes (of which I have 4: Hemingway [currently installed], Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Thirteen). I have it running under GoDaddy, if it makes any difference. Please let me know what my options are for obtaining the 'Spacious' theme?
wpSculptor Ah yes. Missed that part. Thank you very much. I'm creating a website for my girlfriend's pet grooming business and I'm using your step-by-step instructions! the url is: spawtacular.ca It's still in the working stages :) I'm in the Widgets section, close to the end of your video :)
Josh...redoing a site that I did with a while back with Spacious..I have a couple of pages that were on the old theme and don't appear on the pages menu so I can delete them, could you tell me how to get to them and delete? Thanks, love your work.
Mike Vrh Hey Mike, if you go to pages, all pages I would make sure there isn't more than one page (If you scroll down it might say you are looking at 1 of 2 pages). Also, I would check the trash folder. Also, if you log in to the backend and can access the page you want to delete on your frontend, as long as you are logged, you can click on "edit page" at the top to be taken to the page editor in the backend and delete the page from there by clicking on "move to trash".
Hi wpSculptor, Absolutely love your videos! Very easy to follow and website looks great. I do have one question though, In the header menu I do have a page called Services with pages listed under it like yours. But under my "All Pages" section and in the left footer the Services page does not appear anywhere. Why is this? I notice the same holds true on yours.
+Robert Moritz Hey Robert, thanks for the compliment and I'm glad your site looks great! Good question. The reason "services" doesn't show up in my footer is because in my case it isn't actually a page. When I created the navigation menu, I added a parent menu custom link with the # symbol in place of the url so that this menu item would strictly act as a dropdown menu. In my footer, I added a pages widget so it is only showing my actual pages. Since the "services" menu item isn't an actual page it doesn't show in the pages widget. If you create a page called services that has actual content on it and use that page as a parent menu item instead of creating a custom link, you should have "services" showing up with all your other pages. I hope that is clear enough.
This is a great tutorial - thank you! When I add a custom page that is a link to another website, is there a way to have it open in another tab instead of leaving the current website?
+Debra McGill Thanks Debra! If you use the visual editor to create a link, when you highlight the text you want to be a link, and click on the "chain link icon" you can put in the url of where you want to link to and then check the box that says "open link in a new tab" and then update the page.
+Debra McGill Hey Debra, if you want the link in your menu, go to appearance, menus, and open up the menu and then at the top right, click on "Screen options" and make sure "custom link" and "link target" is checked and then you can create your menu item using a custom link with and once you add it to your menu, you can click on the menu item arrow to bring down more options and you should have a box that you can check that says "open link in new tab". Check that box and save the menu and that should do it!
Josh what i want to say to you is from my hart. You are the best instructor on wp website design with clear and calm professional buildings. I have to look at my subscribe list if i had you. I found you were not so i have to do that immediately. God bless you man.

Also, the elegant themes icons should be here: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/freebie-of-the-week/free-line-style-icons
As for a video on receiving orders and payments, I do have a couple of woocommerce video tutorials on my channel but they would be primarily for selling products. You could use woocommerce to sell services as well.
I think I can create a WordPress website with you easy to follow instructions ! Thank you!
Elizabeth Weimer I'm so glad Elizabeth, I'm confident that you can! I wish you the very best and you are welcome.
Thank you so very much for an awsome and detailed video. Great job mate, really!
Thanks Ron, you are very welcome!
Very helpful video! Thank you for posting it.
this is so amazing, did everything, just have a question about the header image, mine shows to be set to 1400x400 and is not clickable, i might be doing something wrong, seems it is a bit difference for theme options design, other than that great information, tons of free resources, thanks very much.
+Ferz Nator Thanks Ferz, I really appreciate that. In this tutorial I just use a logo and not an actual header image. With the spacious theme, the header image won't be clickable but the logo will be. To add a logo, you can go to "appearance" "customize" "header" "header logo".
thanks for replying, i figured out what i was doing wrong, thanks
very Great. Can we increase slides in this free theme? right now we can use only 5 slids.
baidaraka Thanks! To use the slideshow included with the theme you would need to upgrade to the Pro version to have more than 5 slides. You can probably use another slideshow plugin such as meta slider lite to have more than 5 slides and you can add a slideshow to your homepage using shortcodes.
Hi, Thanks for this great tutorial!!
Is it possible to use photos and not the icons on the Business template?
Thanks Riechelle! Yes, you can add photos instead of icons as your featured images to be used on the business template.
Awesome video, very clearly explained, answered all my questions. Thank you
Thank you so much, I appreciate you taking the time to comment and let me know!
So good to learn, i am so clear now using wordpress professional. Thanks you wpSculptor
This tutorial was extremely helpful! Saved me from having to outsource this project.
That's amazing Ericka! Thank you so much for letting me know!
Thanks for the great tutorial, I'll try out this theme on one of my sites, are there any other themes you recommend for this type of business site.
smallbusinesspage.org You are welcome! I really like Spacious but you could also try out the Virtue theme. I do have a tutorial with the virtue theme that you can view here: ua-cam.com/video/xUugV3B43Mo/v-deo.html
Thanks again for the tips will take a look
I am really enjoying your tutorial, logical and to the point - that is helpful. Since you made this video, Theme Options has been migrated to Customizer. Do you have a section on this somewhere or do you know of a good tutorial for it? Thanks!
+Renee Thompson Hey Renee, thanks for the compliment! To answer your question, I don't but the same basic options should still exist just in the new location.
Excellent vid. Helped me a ton. Do you know how to push products to ebay and amazon from wp with single click?
Great tutorial! Can you add a shopping cart system to this site to use for future online ordering?
This was a great tutorial. Thank you.
+MAC Thank you so much MAC, you are very welcome!
Thanks for an excellent tutorial. However, I am keen to get help in setting up a blog page. Have you any advice on this?

+Sha Sha You are very welcome! You can try woocommerce but I think you might have to upgrade to the pro version of the spacious theme to make it woocommerce compatible.
Thank you very much sir, I have designed two websites with the help of your video tutorial. It's very clear and excellent. Please suggest me any theme to design college website.
+Narasimha Rao Thanks Narasimha! I would suggest the Divi theme if you are willing to spend a little bit of money on it. I have a tutorial on my channel here: ua-cam.com/video/0vMO_L_aBZA/v-deo.html
I am very glad and thanks for your kind response sir, thanks once again.
You make such fabulous videos. Thank you
Hi there...great tutorial. I am using WP and had to figure out much of what I had to do. Wish I had stumbled upon this earlier. I saw something on another website that I am hoping to incorporate into my WP homepage. A video background. Is this do-able in WP?
Thanks in advance!
+Gale Fulton Actually...I see now that I can. See how good you are???
+Gale Fulton Haha awesome Gale!
49:50
Can you make the images on top of each other? So you can only see one image, but when you click on it, you will be able to scroll like you do at 50:00 ?¨
Great tutorial btw! Really enjoyed watching it!
Awesome vid mate! Very helpful
Bogdan Grigore I appreciate that Bogdan, thanks for letting me know!
+tkach21 Try going to "appearance" "themes" and click on "add new" and then type in the theme in the search box and press enter.
wpSculptor Ah yes. Missed that part. Thank you very much. I'm creating a website for my girlfriend's pet grooming business and I'm using your step-by-step instructions! the url is:
spawtacular.ca
It's still in the working stages :)
I'm in the Widgets section, close to the end of your video :)
I do not see where I am able to use the visual editor when creating a custom link in the menu.
+wpSculptor Great - I will check this out, thank you very much! I really like the way you have laid out this tutorial. That you!!!
Tons of good info! Well done!
Here I am 6 years later building another website using this tutorial. I had to really dig to find a download for the theme though!
