Fabulous training! Thank you. I found out this evening that my web person had not put up a page that needed to be there within 2 days. I found your video, opened up my web host in another window and just followed the yellow brick road. I went from zero to having 3 pages up to comply with getting my Trademarks completed. Whew. In the nick of time. It was easy and fun. I never in a million years would have gotten through all that stuff from a book and never a fat chance could have figured 90% of it out on my own. Greg, at about the 30 minute mark you hit the upper left hand corner to go to the wordpress preview site. Nothing happens when i do that. It just switches to a static "coming soon" page that i have set up. Seems like it's not linked to the wordpress site. help please! thanks. Bob

Greg, I'm rating this a 10! Great theme, any beginner can install it easily! I just installed and customized it using this tutorial start to finish on a test site! It only took me just over an hour from install to customize. Vantage looks amazing! Hard to believe this is a free theme! At the point of editor for adding copyright at footer, I accidentally deleted a bracket which caused my navigation black bar to move down the page when scrolling it scrolled too! Once corrected everything was fine but to Greg's point in that part of video ... pay attention carefully in this section.

I almost bought a theme, but since I am teaching others starting out how to start their own blogs. For now, I have Customizr and Vantage for my two sites and I am building and customizing Vantage for someone I work for so it was great to have two to offer! Greg great videos knowing knowing html and some codeing helps me to get the exact look I want. I built the code for a table in Blue Griffon, because it goes from wysiwyg to source code easily, then copied the code and pasted into a WP text area so I could get the right look for image links.

you can modify any wordpress theme, any widget, using Inspect Element like this ua-cam.com/video/4fZWATTNi1c/v-deo.html but remember the best sites these days have small logos that don't take up much space. all about that content :)

***** if you bought domain 2 thru GoDaddy just set nameservers to point to your hostgator server. then add an addon domain in HostGator that = your 2 domain and wait about 72 hours

that's exactly how you're supposed to use the tutorial, well done! let's see, 1. yes just add a link in the backend and maybe use google forms for the app 2. something with captcha in it should work or again google forms (although contact form 7 has tons of it's own code and options if you can find someone with expert experience or start here bit.ly/1EmvUge) 3. maybe far off in the future but for now these are all free for users and fun for me to make :) lemme know any more ideas/questions
Thanks for the help with setting up my website, which looks good except for a few areas that I'm finding difficult to fix. The first is that there is too much white space around my logo at the top of the site. Secondly, the call to action to the right side of the logo is too small. Thirdly, my pictures end up being too large and take up too much space hence they aren't visually appealing. Adjusting all of my images in photoshop to the correct size then upload them was the only way to get them to appear the right size. Could you suggest how to fix the abovementioned ? Thanks.

One question that I wanted to ask was: how do I place the logo on the right hand side (the theme allows for only left hand side placement). And if I want to use both left hand corner and right had corner to place logo, how do I do that?
you can modify any wordpress theme, any widget, using Inspect Element like this ua-cam.com/video/4fZWATTNi1c/v-deo.html but remember the best sites these days have small logos that don't take up much space. all about that content :)

Hi! this tutorial is EXTREMELY helpful and I was totally lost without it! my only problem so far is editing the home page, nothing that I put in will stay....I have the home page editor on and I have tried to edit everything on the page but it wont save...thanks for your help!
Tamara Fernandez make sure in settings, reading you have your homepage set to a static page (the static page being the page you want as homepage)

***** if you bought domain 2 thru GoDaddy just set nameservers to point to your hostgator server. then add an addon domain in HostGator that = your 2 domain and wait about 72 hours

that's exactly how you're supposed to use the tutorial, well done! let's see, 1. yes just add a link in the backend and maybe use google forms for the app 2. something with captcha in it should work or again google forms (although contact form 7 has tons of it's own code and options if you can find someone with expert experience or start here bit.ly/1EmvUge) 3. maybe far off in the future but for now these are all free for users and fun for me to make :) lemme know any more ideas/questions
Thanks for the help with setting up my website, which looks good except for a few areas that I'm finding difficult to fix. The first is that there is too much white space around my logo at the top of the site. Secondly, the call to action to the right side of the logo is too small. Thirdly, my pictures end up being too large and take up too much space hence they aren't visually appealing. Adjusting all of my images in photoshop to the correct size then upload them was the only way to get them to appear the right size. Could you suggest how to fix the abovementioned ? Thanks.
