Josh you are a great teacher! The videos you produce are outstanding and professional. I have learned more from just a few of your tutorials than all of the countless others I've watched on the web. I am very grateful to have discovered them. Joe W.
Josh, first I'd like to thank you for your help. It's not often that we encounter others who are willing to give of their time and talents ... and that's in a face-to-face interaction. It becomes a rarity in an online setting! I appreciate your generosity in resolving the difficulty, and in doing it so quickly. I'm now 100% complete on the project, and it looks amazing! Thank you, Josh.
You've done it again Josh! This tutorial was SUPERB! You brought excellent value to us - especially more on using the color scheme and the tool to customize backgrounds (how cool is that?!)... and oh my, the page-builder... PRICELESS!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial with us!
I sat down all afternoon and learnt from your video. you are such a good teacher giving simple, clean explanations which are easy to follow! Thanks so sharing so much information!
I'm really glad they have been helpful! You would use your cPanel to add another domain/wordpress installation to your hosting account. I would suggest contacting hostgator support and they can get you going in no time! Their phone service is really quick and helpful and their live chat is also great.
Hi, I really like they way you explain the steps. I used a previous tutorial of yours, your first tutorial I think, to make my first web page. I am now following these instructions to build a new page with Origami. So far so good. Thanks
Thanks Yilma! With the Origami theme, I don't really know how you would go about adding a Menu at the very top. You add a custom menu pretty much anywhere else though by using the page builder to create a layout and then use a custom menu widget to add to the layout you create.
once again a very informant videq and so easy to follow and understand, plus all the sites to help you get going! always look forward to your vids and information thank you so much and happy trails to whee ever they may lead!
Warren Eberhardt Hey Warren, that is a great question! I played around with it for a bit and here is how you get it to work that way. Make sure you have upgraded to Wordpress 3.9.1 and open up the blog post and using the visual editor, use the icon near the "link" icons to activate the "read more" tag and put that in where you want it on the blog post. Update the post and that should cut off the text at that point on your blog page and when you open up the actual post, it should display the full contents.
this is so Great and helpful tutorial that i had ever seen better than anyone out there. thank you for sharing those kind of tutorial how to create the best professional ever. hope you still continuing to share more of those kind of tutorial. i should call you great brother. hehehe.
Loving your tutorials. Your delivery is clear and confident, you don't rush through and you are careful to add every step. However, I would like to see a follow-up for each video you have done showing alternative looks using the same theme. For instance, is there a way with any blog post to omit dates showing? Can blogs photos be set up as a gallery better in specific themes?
I haven' tried it yet but you explained it very well, finally I understand the things wordpress have! I' m going to follow your step by step tutorial! I'll tell you later! Thank you!!!!
Hi Josh, thanks for the wonderful tutorial I've followed all of them. On the Oregami theme how do I add a navigation menu at the top. You are a good teacher and look forward to your next lesson. Thanks.
You are now my hero! What an excellent tutorial.....you make it seem so easy! My website is now about 60% done....still needs tweaking but wow, have I made major progress, thanks to you. Now I am onto your eCommerce video to figure out that part of the puzzle. I am assuming that the Origami theme can handle it! Again many thanks for sharing your knowledge
wpSculptor Yeah, the comments I read were not encouraging about Origami and woo commerce, so when Woothemes had a 50% sale, I bought Canvas and am loving it.....ONLY because of your great tutorials I am feeling pretty confident! Again, many thanks and keep em coming!
Brilliant! Really helped me to getting up and running! Would love it if you did a video on developing a blog on the Twenty Twelve next! I got a bit confused about the static home page and then setting up another page for the blog - i bet there is more I can do to this blog????
Thanks Jill! The process is basically the same. Create a new "page" called whatever you want (usually "Blog") and then go to settings, reading, and choose that "blog" page you just created to be your "posts" page. Then, every time you create a new post ("Posts", "Add New") and publish, it will show up on that "blog" page.
Excellent tutorial. I'm now going to set up my website using the Origami theme, even though I followed another one of your videos this morning using the 2012 theme! Page builder looks really classy, so thanks for another few hours of redesigning! Only joking. You're an exceptional tutor. Thank you.
wpSculptor Quick question. Is it possible to create a redirect page with WordPress after someone has completed the contact form. I have Serif WebPlus X6 which allows this function, but I was wondering if this was possible also. By the way, my website is just about finished now, thanks to your excellent tutorial. Keep up the good work.
Thank you a million times dear Josh!! I feel so so grateful as I now have a webpage and I never thought I could do it! Your tutorial is so clear and complete!! I have only one problem: I tried different logos, and they appear very very slightly below the one I eventually chose to have. Any idea why and how to get rid of them? Also, I would like to add a language option. I would be very grateful if you could tell me what I could use for that! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a great tutorial, and for allowing me to create my longing!! What can I do to promote you?
Caroline, thank you so much! I'm not sure what is going on with the logo but to delete the other logos, you should be able to go to "media" "library" and hover over the images you want to remove and click on "delete permanently". I've never used a multilingual plugin but you might have some luck with this one: wpml.org/ As far as promoting me, if you want to share the video via social media and word of mouth I would GREATLY appreciate it!
Hi Josh. I have a question. When I was looking for a tutorial, I found the first one you made in January and I've started watching that. Then, when I subscribed to your channel, saw this and another one from 3 weeks ago. Am I right in assuming that this one is an updated version of that? Or should I keep watching the first one? Cheers.
Great question. You can definitely still use the twenty twelve theme that I demonstrate in the original video. However, you'll find that you have more flexibility with the origami theme that I use in this particular video. If it were me, I would use Origami. Good luck!
Great video!! Thanks!! a couple of things that i felt can make your videos even more effective: 1) If possibe, please change the resolution of your screen as the text/links/menu options are difficult to read at this resolution 2) Adding timestamp to the video contents in the description thanks again! subscribed and will keenly follow your channel! :)
Thanks Josh, its a really great tutorial. You have explained each step with some great details. Question: How do I add Google addsense to the site? Looking forward for a answer or even better an entire video...
Haha, thanks Ankur. What I would do is add a text widget to a widget area on your site (or just create a widget area with the page builder plugin) and then copy and paste the HTML provided by adsense into your text widget. That should do it!
Good afternoon Mr Jackson, First, I would like to thank you for the great help and sharing the knowledge you have. I am struggling to find a way to add social icons to my webiste`s header. It is my first time using the origami theme and i cannot find help. I was able to add icons but only at the bottom of the page. DO you know what I should do. Thanks
Hi Ghani, it sounds like you need to find a theme that has a header widget area. The Origami theme does not but there are themes out there that do. Also, some themes might have default social media icons in your header area. I would look through the wordpress theme directory or use google to find additional themes.
I really enjoy your tutorials you have for us to see. I would like to see how to get rid of tittles on pages? So for example if I make a About page and I click on it. I would show the title on the page too. I would like to see if there away to take it off. I know most people would know where they're clicking on the site. Anyways I hope you understand me. Thanks!!
Hey Luly, thanks and sorry for such a delayed response. You would probably need to do that with CSS code. It depends on the theme you are using but you would need to use something like the firebug extension for the firefox browser to figure out what css code you need to change and then you would need to change the code on the CSS file by going to "appearance, editor, and open the style.css stylesheet and make the necessary change and update the file. I know that probably sounds tricky but hopefully it will at least get you pointed in the right direction.
Thank you so much for your generosity. Every thing is working fine for me except the Nextgen gallery; I can upload the images but only the 1st image shows up when added to the my webpage. I would be grateful for any advise.
Thanks Karen! I'm not sure what that could be but you might try deleting the nextgen plugin and reinstalling it. Also, I have another video on my channel where I show you how to use a different gallery for a photo plugin. Check out the 1 hour 18 minute mark on this video: How to Make a WordPress Website and Blog - PROFESSIONAL!
Hello. I am new the the blog/website platform and I find it a bit overwhelming. Your videos are very informative and I really appreciate them. I have a question, I too already have one domain with host-gator, with the baby package (to my understanding it allows unlimited domains). How do I add other domain names for a website or blog?
Josh, you are awesome, I have watch some of your videos, not all of them because I am following step by step, I haven't found one when the user can login and start session, and when the site is in more than one language, if you already mention these issues before, I would like to know in which video, again, many thanks, your videos have been very helpful.
Hi Mauricio, thanks! I haven't covered either of those things but regarding the multilingual site functionality, I would check out wpml.org/ for a multilingual plugin option. I haven't used it but it may work for you. I wish you the best of luck!
This is brilliant and extremely helpful. I am plodding my way through step-by-step but Siteorigin no longer have their Useful tools bit. Any suggestions as to what I can use instead? Thanks
Thanks Katya! If you are looking for the background image generator, it can be found here: bg.siteorigin.com/ Also, you can go to subtlepatterns.com to find good background images (the same images used by the background generator)
Hey there. Love your videos! Can you give me a hand with the black studio tinyemc plug in. I have activated it but it doesn't show up as a widget so I cant add it to my footer......
Hi, thanks a bunch for your videos, really appreciate your step by step method. I'm just having a slight problem at the start, with the 'about' page image. When I insert it, left aligned, the text does not default to the right of the image. Have I done something wrong?
Amazing, simply amazing and useful, the only problem that I had is that the main gallery I don't know why is not responsive,I have the same size when I try to open it from my iphone or tablets.Any suggestion to make it responsive?Thank you so much!Keep it up with your great job!
Hello, The first thank you for your sharing! And I want to ask you something: When I install Black Studio Tiny MCE Widget, but when I run Page Builder, I don't see this widget! And I don't see Site Origin Icon and Text Widget in the Widget Window so I don't add the icon with text to Page Builder! Please guide me about this trouble! Thank you!
Hi. I love your channel! unfortunately I do not find the Origami theme in my wordpress. I seen this video was made in 2013 not sure if that is the reason why.
Hi Josh, Thank you for an awesome tutorial, I took this task even though it was out of my comfort zone, I feel that accomplished my goal thanks to you. I studied your video many times before creating my website. My photography website has everything except for an order form that the client is able to click on the picture to order the photo, and then link it through Paypal. Is there anything you can recommend? or do you have another tutorial to do this task? Thank you very much. Giannaly
Thank yo so much Giannaly! I'm glad you decided to go for it! I haven't used this plugin but you might look into it: www.wordpress.org/plugins/cp-image-store/
This is the best online tutorial I have come across - bar none. I followed the instructions, and my site is 98% complete and I'm more than satisfied. The only difficulty I'm having - and this should be least ambiguous for me to resolve - is on the "Blog" page - my posts display the full text, and I'm looking toward a summary with "Read More" or "Continue" - something along those lines. No matter what I do, I just can't seem to make this happen. I've gone to the "settings" menu, looked over all options, - and I'm left puzzled after 2 hours. Any suggestions? Or am I just fogged in someplace.
HI Josh, this is just exactly what I needed to get a site up and running. Thanks very much for your excellent work. I am having one problem -- I can't seem to get the contact form working properly. When I fill out a form it indicates that the message was sent but I never see it show up in my email. I've created a couple of versions of the contact form with different emails including the default one but nothing comes through. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Chris, I'm glad the video was helpful for you and I appreciate you are very welcome! A couple of things I would check about the form: Make sure you aren't getting them in a spam/junk folder. Also, It is possible that your browser is conflicting with the contact form so you might try a different browser. If those things don't work, I would experiment with other contact form plugins. "Gravity forms" is a good option but you have to spend money for it.
I'm diggin the tutorial, but something seems wrong... It's been 24 hours and my site is still not available. I'm at the 15:30 on your tutorial, not sure what to do, any suggestions?
Hi Josh! Thank you for your reply, I sorted out my logo! My website is nearly done now, but I am having a nightmare with the drop down menu. When I click onto it, I get a message saying "THis page can't be displayed". - "Make sure the web address £ is correct". Any idea would be welcome! Thank you!!
Hey Caroline, I would go back to "appearance" "menus" and remove the page that is giving you the error. Then I would re-add the same page and see if that helps. You can always use a "Link" (on your menu page at the top right, click on "screen options" and make sure "links" is checked"). Then, click on the "Links" option under "Pages" and paste in the URL for the page you want in your menu and give it a Menu title. Then add that to your menu, save and see if it works.
Hi Josh, Your videos have been a lifesaver for me. I am VERY NEW to Wordpress but am enjoying learning, so I just follow everything you did in this video. The only problem I had (so far) is when I get to the NextGen gallery part. At the 52:11 point (of your video) you are showing how to set up the gallery by naming it "Gallery 1" and then you click "Add Files"...well, when I click on "Add Files" nothing happens. I also tried clicking on "Start Upload" but similarly nothing happens. Nextgen didn't load right the first time so I deleted it and installed it again thinking that would fix the glitch but it didn't help. I'm stuck. Any suggestions? Also, is there any way I could contact you and PAY you to answer a few questions for me? I can't find anyone who knows Wordpress who I can ask... Thanks, Hil
Hi Hil, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm not sure what could be going on with the NextGen plugin but a couple of things to try: -Make sure you are using the latest version of everything (wordpress, themes, plugins, etc...) and update if you need to. -If you are using other plugins that I don't use in the video, deactivate/delete them and see if they might be conflicting with the Next Gen (see if NextGen works after those are those are removed) I do my best to answer questions on the youtube video page so feel free to ask additional questions.
I love your videos. I have started the producers for getting my site up and running that you have layed out in your videos. My problem is I sis everything you said yesterday and wordPress still has not made my site. Is there a reason this woukd be happining. I tried contacting them but I did not get an answer. Many Thanks.
Hey tt, I'm not sure what is going there but maybe try deactivating a deleting the plugin and then reinstall it. Also, make sure you have the wp super cache plugin deleted.
Thank you very much Josh. By following your tutorial as a total newbie to Wordpress, I was able to create the initial framework of a website. I have tried to install a contact page using both Contact Form 7 and Contact Form. I I followed the directions of Contact Form 7 and Contact Form by copying the short code of ( [contact-form-7 id="70" title="Contact form 1"] for CF7) into a page, publishing it and updating. When viewing the page, the CF7 is not running and I just see the short code itself. This has occurred on themes Twenty twelve, Twenty fourteen, and Parabola. I'm using WP 3.8.1 and the most up to date versions of CF7 and Contact Form. Please help!
You're welcome Howard, I'm glad it was helpful. Maybe try this if you haven't: Make sure you are using the "text editor" instead of the "visual editor" to paste in the shortcode. If that doesn't work, you might troubleshoot the issue by first seeing if other shortcodes work for other plugins that use shortcodes. Also, a conflicting plugin could be affecting your shortcodes so you might disable one plugin at a time to see if a particular plugin is the culprit. Also, I think you could use the pagebuilder plugin (instead of the visual and text editors) and create a widget area on your contact page and I'm pretty sure there is a contact form widget so you could use the widget instead of the shortcode.
Hey Janet I don't but good question! One way to get some one on one instruction might be to contact your hosting company for details on using filezilla and they may be able to walk you through it in real time.
Hi Lynne, it sounds like you may be using the free version of wordpress which is the wordpress.com version. The free version has limited options and functionality including the plugin limitation. I recommend using a hosting company like hostgator. When you do that, you would install the version I use which is the wordpress.org version which gives you access to all the options and functionality.
Thanks David, the origami theme doesn't go full width but you might check out the Hueman theme. I have a video tutorial on my youtube channel if you are interested.
Hi,,,I just signed up with Go daddy & im having second thoughts. They have new wordpress hosting, Im thinking of using wordpress instead of go daddys website builder.Do you think gatorhost is better ? also, Im developing a website on wordpress but should I be doing it while Im connected to a hosting site first? what is your opinion?
Hey, good questions. I always recommend hostgator and I really like the service and pricing they provide. You can easily keep your domain with Godaddy and use hostgator for your hosting if you want to do that. You can also tryout Godaddy's hosting if you want to and see how it works for you. I like to build the sites online when they are connected to my hosting account just because it is easier that way. Your hosting company can show you how to put up a temporary page or temporarily password protect your site until you get it up and running.
Hey, Josh this Tutorial is really great, I really don't know about web site creating but you know what with the help of this Tutorial I made one of my site, its really amazing. Thank you so much for this Tutorial (y)
I've done everything, but when I view the homepage, the slideshow just won't work. nothing there. Empty, Blank. I don't know why? When I created, previewed it, it's fine though.
Hmm, not sure what this could be. If you are using the page builder plugin to create a custom layout and add widgets in, you should be able to add your slideshow in the with meta slider widget. Also, this may seem silly but be sure to update the page to save the change.
Thanks Tom! The Origami theme doesn't have a widget are for the right side of the header but there are other themes out there that would have that if you did enough digging around. One thing you could possibly do is create your logo to be 903 pixels wide and put the phone number as a graphic on the right side and make sure the background is transparent and save the file as a png. That might do the trick.
I really like you're tutorials. But do you have any idea how to use Coppermine with Wordpress? Or know where I can find something on it. Trying to make a fansite, lmao!
Dear sir, i am going CRAZY with contact form 7 i follow all you the way ,you great. i am not new to word press over a year, but nothing i try seems to help. i have been able only once to get a mail through but all the other times it does not work . i just don't get it
Hi John, not sure what this could be but first, make sure you check your spam/junk folder as the messages can sometimes be sent there. Also, it could be your particular browser causing the issue in which case I would try out a different browser or update yours. Also, you might want to contact your hosting company and see if there is anything going on there that could be causing issues. It could also be a conflicting plugin so you could deactivate your plugins one at time while trying the contact form to see if that is the issue. You can always look for other contact form plugins as well but contact form 7 has been a really good one from my experience.
Thank you for your help, i have a feeling that it had to do with hostgator, not sure but it seems to be o.k. now ,.and thanks once again for your very informative videos a really big help.
Hey Zheyu, I don't currently have a video on this but until I do, check out this article: yoast(dot)com/wordpress/seo/ also, go to Google and search for: "google seo guide" for their pdf file Good luck!
Excellent presentation and content. You missed a few items that I picked up from Tyler Moore's videos -- but yours have MUCH more detail on back-end programs than his do. I do miss "uh", "an", "um", "oops", "ya know"s that others include regularly in their presentation. You do not do that -- are you reading from a script? You should hire out as a voice-over for the idiots that upload videos -- you are great! One quick suggestion -- don't recommend Hostgator! Bad product, bad service, and complacent. They neither care or provide help. I will not be buying a new computer as they suggested I should. I did request a $0.01 refund when I cancelled my account. Otherwise, this vid is great and keep it up!
Thanks for the tutorial. I use cloudaccess. net for just testing you get a domain and hosting for a month for free. It's really nice for people that want learning wordpress or joomla.
Very disappointed you did not explain that the JETPACK I see on your example and PLUGINS you talk about are not available on the free Wordpress.com website/blog. You did not explain you were demonstrating off of a wordpress.org website that requires money and expertise to utilize. I watched you for hours and when I was ready to get my website going found out I could not do what you were doing including using the Origami theme. I feel cheated. Or did I not hear you right? Please let me know.
Thank you so much Joe! I really appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to comment. I'm also really glad to be able to help!
Josh you are a great teacher!

I havent finished watching this tutorial, but I must say THANKS A MILLION!! This is the best tutorial on using WP!!

Again, I learned so much and found solutions to issues with other templates. Can't wait to to try them out.

Thank you very much Michael, the pleasure is mine!
You are very welcome Mario! Thank you for the compliment!
Hi Josh, thanks for the wonderful tutorial I've followed all of them. On the Oregami theme how do I add a navigation menu at the top. You are a good teacher and look forward to your next lesson. Thanks.
Hey Josh, thanks for another great tutorial! You made it very easy to understand and follow :)
Thanks Melissa, I really appreciate that!
Wow! Thanks Josh, this tutorial is really great! I would like to ask if you have any tutorial for website astore for amazon?
Thanks Crystal! I do not currently have any tutorials involving amazon but I'll look into that.
Everything is nicely explained. Thanks and merry Christmas.
Thanks Ju Y! Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I really appreciate it and I am learning like never before.
You are very welcome Eve and that is awesome! Thanks for letting me know.

Hi Josh - huge thank you for demystifying Wordpress.
Hi Josh, Look forward to your next video. This one was very useful. Keep it up.

I would check out a premium plugin called gravity forms. I'm pretty sure they offer that redirect functionality.
Okay. Thanks for that.
Josh, Good Job and web site look awesome can wait work on my site
Thanks Misty! Good luck to you!

I've never used a multilingual plugin but you might have some luck with this one: wpml.org/
As far as promoting me, if you want to share the video via social media and word of mouth I would GREATLY appreciate it!
Hi Josh. I have a question. When I was looking for a tutorial, I found the first one you made in January and I've started watching that. Then, when I subscribed to your channel, saw this and another one from 3 weeks ago. Am I right in assuming that this one is an updated version of that? Or should I keep watching the first one?
Cheers.
Thank you! Good luck with your site!
Great question. You can definitely still use the twenty twelve theme that I demonstrate in the original video. However, you'll find that you have more flexibility with the origami theme that I use in this particular video. If it were me, I would use Origami. Good luck!
Great video!! Thanks!! a couple of things that i felt can make your videos even more effective: 1) If possibe, please change the resolution of your screen as the text/links/menu options are difficult to read at this resolution 2) Adding timestamp to the video contents in the description
thanks again! subscribed and will keenly follow your channel! :)
Thanks Kapil! I plan to add timestamps soon!
Thank you Josh...
Thanks so much! That is a fantastic suggestion and I'll definitely do that!
Josh,
Many Many Thanks for your Great Videos.
I learned so much from you.
Bless you..
Thank you Jacques! I really appreciate it!
Good afternoon Mr Jackson,
First, I would like to thank you for the great help and sharing the knowledge you have.
Thank you for this Josh. Really helpful video tutorial :)
You are welcome Harlyne! Thanks for the compliment!
Heyy its wonderful vedios . I have question that its necessary to intall wordpress can't we use online editor
Hey Somil, I just prefer WordPress over any other content management system but there are indeed many methods to creating a website.
Thanks man, that's what I need.
Thanks Zheyu! I really appreciate that!
Thanks for taking the time to reply, Josh. I now have a cool background for my site!
Katya D'Oray
Awesome, and you are very welcome!
Hey there. Love your videos! Can you give me a hand with the black studio tinyemc plug in. I have activated it but it doesn't show up as a widget so I cant add it to my footer......
Thanks! It should now appear under available widgets as "Visual Editor".
Hi, thanks a bunch for your videos, really appreciate your step by step method. I'm just having a slight problem at the start, with the 'about' page image. When I insert it, left aligned, the text does not default to the right of the image. Have I done something wrong?
Not to worry, I fixed it by putting my text in first. Not sure why it was different for me but never mind!
ddaasscft
Ok, good deal. Glad you got it figured out.
Josh, wonderful tutorial! Question: Is Hueman compatible with buddypress?
Thanks! I'm not sure but I would think it would be as it seems to be coded very well and buddypress is a pretty popular plugin.
Do you ned to do all that programing in WordPress for each item your showing?
Good deal Aiswarya! Thank you for the compliment!
Thank you so much R.S I really appreciate that!
Awesome Mike, Thanks!
Amazing, simply amazing and useful, the only problem that I had is that the main gallery I don't know why is not responsive,I have the same size when I try to open it from my iphone or tablets.Any suggestion to make it responsive?Thank you so much!Keep it up with your great job!
Thanks Man! I really appreciate that! Glad you got it working!
Hey Josh, great tutorial. You're an excellent instructor..
Thank you so much Abdul!
thank you Josh, you are awesome!
Hello, The first thank you for your sharing!
And I want to ask you something:
When I install Black Studio Tiny MCE Widget, but when I run Page Builder, I don't see this widget!
And I don't see Site Origin Icon and Text Widget in the Widget Window so I don't add the icon with text to Page Builder!
Please guide me about this trouble! Thank you!
Hi Tuan, look for the black studio widget under a new name called "visual editor" within the available widget areas and see if that works.
This is one of the best how to make a custom wordpress Bar-None in a day.
I just bought my domain which is registered with Gatorhost and I'm not sure how to link this with my wordpress account properly?
I love your tutorials, just a quick question. Are you making your sites using wordpress.com or wordpress.org?
Thanks Paducee, I always use the wordpress.org version because you have complete control and flexibility with your site.
Excellent help.
Thanks Don!
Great tutorial
Thanks Jared!
I'm diggin the tutorial, but something seems wrong... It's been 24 hours and my site is still not available. I'm at the 15:30 on your tutorial, not sure what to do, any suggestions?
I got that figured out, I had to go to the Hostgator management settings and change my host account type to the one I purchased.
Adam Eggertsen
Ok good deal Adam. Thanks for letting me know!
Thanks,
Hil
Hi Hil, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm not sure what could be going on with the NextGen plugin but a couple of things to try:
-Make sure you are using the latest version of everything (wordpress, themes, plugins, etc...) and update if you need to.
-If you are using other plugins that I don't use in the video, deactivate/delete them and see if they might be conflicting with the Next Gen (see if NextGen works after those are those are removed)
I do my best to answer questions on the youtube video page so feel free to ask additional questions.
I love your videos. I have started the producers for getting my site up and running that you have layed out in your videos. My problem is I sis everything you said yesterday and wordPress still has not made my site. Is there a reason this woukd be happining. I tried contacting them but I did not get an answer.
Many Thanks.
Never Mind. It was my Mistake. I did not go to manage domains and certify it.
Stephen Elkins
Good deal!
im following this vid to make my website, but after I installed nextgen gallery the my wp page is blank... any fix for this thanks....
Hey tt, I'm not sure what is going there but maybe try deactivating a deleting the plugin and then reinstall it. Also, make sure you have the wp super cache plugin deleted.
Josh, i actually have a question. how can i make my website google searchable?
Josh, Great videos . I have a domain name using HostGator, how do I get another domain name useing my HostGator account. Love your video's
TJ
Thanks Ted! You do it in your Cpanel as an "add-on domain". I would contact Hostgator via live chat or phone for further assistance!
Hi Josh. Do you have any videos fo beginners on how to upload files to WP via Filezilla. Thanks!!!
Hey Janet I don't but good question! One way to get some one on one instruction might be to contact your hosting company for details on using filezilla and they may be able to walk you through it in real time.
Thanks will do!
Can you tell me why I don't have the plugins option in my settings please?
Hi Lynne, it sounds like you may be using the free version of wordpress which is the wordpress.com version. The free version has limited options and functionality including the plugin limitation. I recommend using a hosting company like hostgator. When you do that, you would install the version I use which is the wordpress.org version which gives you access to all the options and functionality.
Great video. Is there anyway I can make this page full-width?
Thanks David, the origami theme doesn't go full width but you might check out the Hueman theme. I have a video tutorial on my youtube channel if you are interested.
Hello sir...how can i transfer my wordpress website in to android application with the help of wordpress....reply pls.thank you very much
Hi Chandrika, I'm not sure but you might search google for a plugin that could do that.
Rabbi, thank you so much for letting me know! You are very welcome!
Great Video! Is it possible in this theme to add a header on the right side, say for a phone number?
Thanks for that. I think I'll trust your judgement and try this one, then. :)
Thank you for your help, i have a feeling that it had to do with hostgator, not sure but it seems to be o.k. now ,.and thanks once again for your very informative videos a really big help.
hi. i am lakshi..i need to creative new website with me tourism...plc help with me for ....if you can?...
Hi Lakshi, I do my best to answer questions on this youtube comment section so feel free to ask.
Hey Zheyu, I don't currently have a video on this but until I do, check out this article: yoast(dot)com/wordpress/seo/
also, go to Google and search for: "google seo guide" for their pdf file
Good luck!
Good video. :-)
Good deal, you are very welcome!
Please let me know.
so do i get a reply? I do want to add you are a terrific teacher but can,t do what you are doing without using wordpress.org, right?
Susan Etchey
Yes, you are correct.
