New truck prices are insane... if your using it for a daily driver, the mpg just seems insane horrible. very nice truck though. My 6.7 I drive daily can get 17-18 in town, then 23-24 on the interstate unloaded. but the prices on all of them are just ridiculous, I believe FORD is intentionally marking this stuff up to subsidize their electric. I don't think the chip shortage is as legit as they claim.

Anyways great info video, and helped me make the leap to the 24.
There is no AI with the parking brake; whenever you use the zoom for the trailer view, the truck knows at that point you're trying to hitch up and applies the parking brake. That's nice, but ideally the parking brake would apply every time you drop into park regardless of hooking up or not. You're stopping, in park, truck can't/shouldn't move anyway, just apply the brake automatically. My ram works that way though it can be turned off I don't see why somebody wouldn't want it to auto apply. I've used handbrakes and parking brakes every time I park (like we're supposed to) for like 30 years now so having it automatically set instead is just one less thing to think about.
Awesome truck! Never been a fan of silver trucks but I like that color. I have a Ram 2500 gas now and the day I get rid of it will be the happiest day of my life at least in my truck world. I too had bad experiences with GM but I'm thinking of going back. My buddy has a 2024 2500 gas and the 10 speed tranny has made a huge difference in towing power.
That constant resetting of the 12" display is a common problem. I owned a 21 F-150 and now a 22 F-150 and they both had the issue you talk of. Both also had a problem with changing radio stations on their own. The 22 has a random problem with the bluetooth connection and my phone. Often incoming phone calls are so scratchy sounding I have to hang up and call the person back. Seems like each time Ford does an over the air update to the system new issues arise. Both pickups were back to the shop over these issues but were never fixed. It is aggravating but still hoping Ford gets the software issues fixed as I have a 23 F-150 ordered. Good luck with yours.
Well I’ve been watching your videos on your truck and I bit the bullet and traded my 3500 ram dually 6.7 Cummins for a f-250 7.3 gas and I’m shocked we pull a 38’ open range roamer weights about 11900 and it pulls it very well Good ride down to the costly Cummins Thanks
@WanderingWeekends Hey Corey, do you have an update for your Sync system situation? I have a 2020 Godzilla and ever since the last Sync update have had the same issues.
I must be an exception on the issues with thw 12 inch screen. Have a 22 F-350 Tremor and the onky time it did anything wierd was when it updated. Had just patked and the whoke scrern went dark. Was able to get it to come back on and it did it again. When i came back out it was working fine had some features it did'nt have before. Realizing it had installed the update.
i've came across your channel while doing research for my new super duty. I do not tow anything 99% of the time, and i have never owned a diesel truck. Would you recommend or persuade someone to get a diesel vs gas? would it make sense in my case, and does it require more maintenances for diesel with DEF?
I know I’m late to the party but The rear fender inserts be tucked in behind the fender? Thats how we install them at the dealership. I saw a lip there?
Great video, I have a 2022 f-150 and has the same problem with my screen since I picked it up, screen rebooting pretty much every time I start it ,as well as the radio keeps turning itself off. Just got my regular service today and mentioned it again so they’ve done a bunch of updates to the modules I guess. They said if this doesn’t work the next step would be to replace the needed module.
Great video. I can't get past the look of the box and bumper steps. Wish there was an option to delete in higher trim levels. Would love to upgrade to a 250 for the greater towing ability over my 150 but I know I'd hate it every time I walk up to it and see those steps..... yes it would bother me enough to overlook everything else that is amazing on the truck.
I have the identical truck. My infotainment screen dose the same. I haven't taken my truck in for this concern. Soon i will. I agree with you very aggravating.
That screen is one of the main things that made me get rid of our platinum f150. It did the same thing you’re getting, holding down the power and fast forward will reset it sometimes I’d do it 2 times in a day. The last straw was when it somehow forgot I had a trailer attached after pulling away from a rest stop, and had a chair fall of from camper in front of us went to brake and swerve and where were my brakes? I had no trailer brakes. Few weeks later it happened again pulling out of storage, had done the whole set up screen froze and no trailer brakes pulling up to a light 55mph. Reset the screen and it was fine. Traded it in following weekend. 😅
Honestly not bad. My 2004 Lexus GX470 gets around 14 consistently around town and low 20’s highway. It has 4.7 with a fraction of the power and full time AWD. Pretty wild considering how close their fuel economy is.
Well, not much to chose from here north central Florida and going to big cities (Orlando, Jacksonville, etc) has proven extra/over charges. I'm in no rush...I got my 6.2L 2019 XLT Premium package w/FX4 May 2019 and did not really paid attention to the window sticker... A few months ago, was reading it and found out it had the 10kGVRW upgrade, 4.30 axles which make this a 15K max towing capacity truck. I was under wrong impression it had the 3.73 axles. So is like getting an upgraded truck without $ out of pocket! It only has 30k driven miles and looks like new, even though sleep exposed to the sun.
I'm just ordering my 2024 F350. Still on the fence about the 6.7 or the 7.3. And since I'm going with the Tremor I'm locked into the 3.55 gears for the 6.7 or the 4.30 gears for the 7.3. I have to decide soon. What did you not like about your 6.7 vs your 7.3?
Great question. I was tired of worrying about “limp mode”, failing EPA required parts, the drama over diesel prices, waiting on diesel pumps to become available. DEF, insane repair bills, and knowing I paid $10k extra for something I did not need.
@@WanderingWeekends I appreciate the response. I have the same concerns but don't know anyone with a 7.3 to compare to. Thank you for this video and your opinion on the two
You have to try out the Pro Trailer assist. It's is amazing and kind of eerie how well it works. I am also upgrading my Ford truck to be able to have a true TPMS system that is integrated in the dash and works with the RV trailer.
@@Blakehx There are a few kits available. I bought the one with the TPMS and trailer yaw sensor which cost about $480. I did not get the camera kit since I already have a wireless camera on the RV.
@@WanderingWeekends Wasnt sure if it was that one or not. I just picked up my 23 Lariat 6.7 yesterday. I dont have the sports appearance package, so not sure how its gonna look with the chrome grille. I have silver too so this helped give me a good idea on what itll look like. Thanks.
Thanks for the info. I have a 2022 RAM 3500 6.7 diesel. I an also thinking of going to a gas engine. I've been having trouble with the radio also. Keeps losing presets and other weird stuff. Dealer says it's a known issue, and RAM is working on it.
So when you get in the truck does the menu on the speedo screen come up every time? Also have you had issues with the collision assist come on when pulling in a parking spot or very slow crawling traffic? It will apply the break out of the blue.. I have a few other issues with my King Ranch.
I love that big screen and like the overall looks of this model. I have a 2021 Lariat with the 7.3, FX4 that I bought to pull my 30’ TT. I love my truck but you got my attention with the comment about how much better the ride is in your new one. Mine definitely rides like a truck compared to my F150 I had before. Oh well, it pulls my trailer like a boss! Nice truck brother, congratulations!
Love the truck Cory lots of cool options but I’m still happy with my 2003 dodge Cummins dually I’m currently driving about 30 Kilometres to and from work getting 14.8 miles per gallon 👍
I have a 23 6.7l.. I'm not at all impressed with all EPA crap on these, seems like a incredible waste. It's a federal law to remove it of course or delete, but the government trucks are deleted... hilarious.
Hey bro nice truck. That 7.3 is ok if ya like stoping at gas stations all the time. Me I'm a diesel guy. I like the power and the mileage that a diesel provides. There's nothing like stepping on the gas pedal and hearing that big diesel goin to work when ya got a heavy load behind ya.
I think the maintenance on the diesel with all that emissions stuff would ture me towards. If you talk to one of your friends real nice when that thing goes into limp mode they will come with there gas motor and tow you to ford I hope you don't have an engine problem it's sad to walk in and see the cab and frontend off the truck so they can get to the motor
I’ve been waiting for this video, was wondering why you upgraded, makes sense. Sucks the screen is giving you issues. I’m not in the market, but may be if my Hemi doesn’t handle us upgrading trailers. I always want to stay up to date on all the truck brands.
On our 2021, we got an XLT and the dealer worked add on leather as part of the deal with Katskinz. You can get about any color you want. We matched the color to the interior trim. Good to know on the difference between 3.73 vs 3.55 which isn't much.
@F350DuallyD To me they look the same as the leather you would get in a Lariat package. It is not going to be like a King Ranch, but my wife and I like it.
Very nice truck. I followed you very closely when you went from the diesel to the 7.3L. I ended up ordering my '21 F350 XLT with a 7.3l gasser. NO REGRET's ! I was going to get a F250 but could not get it with a 3.73 rear. My options were 3.55 or 4.30. For $1700 I went to the F350 & gained 1k# load cap & 3.73. Well worth the $$$ Since 90% of my miles are towing a 8400# tt I'm really glad I did. I've had the 3.55 before. Empty it was fine, but towing it was just not working for me. Nut for nut; bolt for bolt F250 vs F350 are identical except the overload spring & rear gear option. I installed wheel well liners, shorty antenna, dampening strut to the tailgate, Weather teck's..
@@thejuiceisloose8703 If you are asking me; I rarely run empty but the few times I have I'm getting ~13mpg's in the city; 17+ empty on the freeway. Towing my trailer I have averaged ~10.3 mpg's going up & down a lot of hills & mtns here in the PNW. A 4200 mile trip to AZ & back I ave 10.3. I have got as low as 8.5 bucking wind & 13 on a pretty long straight flat run. tire size = 245/75R17
@@kingrider75 when I was going thru the gymnastics of ordering a new truck (7.3l gas); I found in '20, '21 & '22 the overload was only on the F250 Tremor or the F350. I guess it could be a dealer add or aftermarket? I did look at ordering the F250 & then adding it later. It was the same cost & you do not get the certified higher load cap. For me, it wasn't the overload, it was the 3.73 rear that I wanted and it was not an option on the F250.
I went from a 17 Ram CTD to the 2023 F250, 7.3 w/4:30's Though it doesn't pull like the diesel, it still pulls like a beast. No worry's on sky high expensive diesel emissions, maint and repair costs. So glad I did. I think you will be too 👍
You’ve earned the views and subscribers with all of your good videos. Many of them have helped me. Thanks. I will admit I like to see in your videos, ‘What would Cory actually spend his own money on?’ rather than sponsored or gifted items, but I also recognize that’s just part of having a UA-cam channel.
Very fair point. I do like to point out a few things about the gifts. 1. Sometimes when folks use their own money they feel the need to defend the product OR have unrealistic expectations from the product. Having nothing invested I feel like I can give a bit better perspective. 2. I've done a few vids blasting gifts I have received... haha. 3. Many of the videos I do with the freebies are simply to introduce you guys to a new, quality product. Everyone's tastes and preferences are different. I don't want to limit the channel to only things I find useful. If its good quality at a fair price I am happy to introduce it. All of this said I completely understand your point. Its a fine line to walk. In the end the viewers trust is ALWAYS #1.
I also have 2019 6.7 F350 Lariet. I hate the adaptive steering. Always fighting me to turn back to neutral. Or just driving around making turns in the city after a long day at work. I ordered a 2024 xlt and I pray the steering is easier or I won't take it. I'll go with Chev. their 2024 3500 has such easy steering. I was shocked.
Love this video! I'm currently shopping for this exact truck so this was super helpful! I've been trying to compare/contrast the 7.3 Godzilla vs the Powerstroke Diesel and I think for me personally I'm leaning the Godzilla but I was curious more of why you went to the diesel and back to gas again? Thanks again!
Good to know that it didn't leave you on the road side. Did you have any problems with the last truck I have a 21 7.3 love it so far. The tech is awesome on these new trucks but worries me. Great video.

Love that, looking to trade in my 2021 7.3 for a 23 maybe 24 lariat. I love the sport package like you got but ford drives me nuts that if you get the sport pkg. you can not get the tow package. I want the sport because the non sport looks hideous, but I must have the tow package.
@@WanderingWeekends I was after the extra spring and the rear anti-sway bar. Once you put the sport package on it removes and snow plow/camper packages.

i've came across your channel while doing research for my new super duty. I do not tow anything 99% of the time, and i have never owned a diesel truck. Would you recommend or persuade someone to get a diesel vs gas? would it make sense in my case, and does it require more maintenances for diesel with DEF?
I had a diesel, I don’t miss it one bit. This gasser has been great.
I was tempted to buy the 7.3 godzila but I've always ran diesels I bought a F350 4wd crew cab with lariat ultimate sport with FX4 same color
The oil burners are definitely stout.
I just ordered a 24 f250 lariat for right around 76000 not sure of the delivery date yet
I test drove a brand new identical optioned truck. I freaking loved it and will be getting the deal wrote up next week.
what brand of ball and hitch do you use?
I'm still a Weigh Safe guy until I find something better
I know I’m late to the party but The rear fender inserts be tucked in behind the fender? Thats how we install them at the dealership. I saw a lip there?
Thanks for the video!
Were you able to get adaptive cruise with the xlt package?
I’m not sure if it’s is available on XLT. This truck doesn’t have it.
I absolutely LOVE the steps. Function over form. These aren’t Ferraris. JMO of course.
Be nice to get read of the antenna and have it in the glass
I just got an email from Ford that my F350 Lariat Ultimate 7.3 is scheduled for production. Iconic Silver Metallic as well 👍🏼
Congrats!! Sweet ride.
I got one email for my 2024 in July said will be built in October an haven't Heard anything since
If you have a Furrion camera on your rv are you having trouble with it working properly on your 23 model Ford?
I'm not currently running a backup camera
What brand of hood protector did you buy? I'm looking for one for my 2023 SD.😊
Straight from the Ford site. The Lund brand.
Looks good! Never seen the hood bug deflector decal. Where did you get that?
accessories.ford.com/products/super-duty-2023-lund-smoke-aeroskin-hood-protector
I have the identical truck. My infotainment screen dose the same. I haven't taken my truck in for this concern. Soon i will. I agree with you very aggravating.
I do wish that my 2022 F250 XLT had electric seat controls. Driver seat has limited electric control. Passenger seat is all manual.
It's a option on xlt
Hope that fits in the garage. I can’t spend that much on a vehicle and leave it outside
Definitely going back to the dealer for a look.
@@WanderingWeekends definitely keep an eye out.
I have a 23 F350 with the godzilla and 3.73 rear end, and I too get 14.5 average in mixed driving.
Honestly not bad.
My 2004 Lexus GX470 gets around 14 consistently around town and low 20’s highway. It has 4.7 with a fraction of the power and full time AWD.
Pretty wild considering how close their fuel economy is.
Me also. Love the 7.3. Drove a 7.3 PS for 26 years
Wondering...did you order it or found it on a dealership?
Dealer. Dealers are well stocked around here.
I have a Ford f 250 2023 7.3 gas , I can’t find no we’re in the truck that it says Godzilla?..
Thank you for this video and your opinion on the two
Does it still skip gears when starting out? Ive been told they changed that
They changed it! Thankfully
So yours doesn’t skip gears?
Did they figure out what was the issue
I thinking of getting rid of the DEF / DPF / and going with the 7.3 have you anything go wrong with the 7.3 thank you Vince
Not even a hiccup from the last one. Nearly 40k miles.
You have to try out the Pro Trailer assist. It's is amazing and kind of eerie how well it works. I am also upgrading my Ford truck to be able to have a true TPMS system that is integrated in the dash and works with the RV trailer.
How much does that TPMS cost? Are getting the rear view trailer camera that can also be linked through the infotainment screen?
@@Blakehx There are a few kits available. I bought the one with the TPMS and trailer yaw sensor which cost about $480. I did not get the camera kit since I already have a wireless camera on the RV.
You have a link for that black hood protector film???
accessories.ford.com/products/super-duty-2023-lund-smoke-aeroskin-hood-protector
Yes, the menu pops up every time. I have not had issues with the collision assist.
Nice truck for sure. I have the 7.2kw Pro Power in my F150 and it comes in handy when camping or for backup power. Be tough to go without now
Now I've got to go see if the zone lighting is on my XLT. LOL
FYI , not all have the 12 inch. My XLT has the 8 inch and I though it was supposed to have the 12 . It may have been error on my part when ordering.
Could you please share a link or information on where you got the hood protector? Thanks!
Hey Cory, where did you get the bug shield. Love to get one for my 2022 F-350 SD
Ford site under accessories!
Is it the taped on or bolt on version?
What's the payload capacity of this truck? It's the most important number to me when it comes to towing.
3300+
Good looking truck, did you order it or buy it off the lot.
Off the lot. Found it online, confirmed availability, test drove and bought it all within 3 hours. Haha.
What dealer did you buy from?
Loganville Ford in Loganville GA
@@WanderingWeekends thanks
Those factory rims?
Yes.
It's a federal law to remove it of course or delete, but the government trucks are deleted... hilarious.
I’ve got a 2017 ram diesel with 3.73 rear gears and i really like it
Hey bro nice truck.
I will take the gas engine over diesel to stay away from diesel maintenance, DEF, and going 5 mph because a sensor went bad.
I'll stick with just having diesel in my tractor 🚜
I’ve been waiting for this video, was wondering why you upgraded, makes sense. Sucks the screen is giving you issues. I’m not in the market, but may be if my Hemi doesn’t handle us upgrading trailers. I always want to stay up to date on all the truck brands.
On our 2021, we got an XLT and the dealer worked add on leather as part of the deal with Katskinz. You can get about any color you want. We matched the color to the interior trim. Good to know on the difference between 3.73 vs 3.55 which isn't much.
Do the Katskinz fit well, look good and feel good? I've seen them advertised.
@F350DuallyD To me they look the same as the leather you would get in a Lariat package. It is not going to be like a King Ranch, but my wife and I like it.
Hey buddy love the videos. I have a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax and considering ordering a f350. Can u send me ur build sheet. Thanks
Yessir! Getting mine next week and wanted to be sure the one I got had push button start. Love that feature!
That color pops.
What kind of towing mpg are you getting? What size tires?
@@thejuiceisloose8703 If you are asking me; I rarely run empty but the few times I have I'm getting ~13mpg's in the city; 17+ empty on the freeway. Towing my trailer I have averaged ~10.3 mpg's going up & down a lot of hills & mtns here in the PNW. A 4200 mile trip to AZ & back I ave 10.3. I have got as low as 8.5 bucking wind & 13 on a pretty long straight flat run. tire size = 245/75R17
My F250 came with overloads🧐
@@kingrider75 when I was going thru the gymnastics of ordering a new truck (7.3l gas); I found in '20, '21 & '22 the overload was only on the F250 Tremor or the F350. I guess it could be a dealer add or aftermarket? I did look at ordering the F250 & then adding it later. It was the same cost & you do not get the certified higher load cap. For me, it wasn't the overload, it was the 3.73 rear that I wanted and it was not an option on the F250.
Nice. Good luck. And yes I am a Ford guy.
Getting ready to trade my 2018 Power Wagon on a 2023 Tremor with the 7.3. Little nervous, but pretty sure I am doing the right thing.
I went from a 17 Ram CTD to the 2023 F250, 7.3 w/4:30's
Though it doesn't pull like the diesel, it still pulls like a beast. No worry's on sky high expensive diesel emissions, maint and repair costs.
So glad I did. I think you will be too 👍
FX4 is a deal breaker in Nevada. Not just skid plates, but a locker in the rear end.
Ps… making me want a new truck.
Yeah I can appreciate that. Just because I don’t want a given product, doesn’t mean you wouldn’t.
Keep doing what you’re doing.
My F350 Lariat 2023 doesn’t have the screen issues
We're is the ice cooler between the seats. And watch u tube on the big screen.
Hey! Where did you get the black supery duty hood guard? Thanks
Touch screen problem is unfortunate. It's like that with first run new stuff.
Hey Cory, thank you guys as well...
Our pleasure!!
Good to know that it didn't leave you on the road side. Did you have any problems with the last truck I have a 21 7.3 love it so far. The tech is awesome on these new trucks but worries me. Great video.
Hey great vid, I’m looking at going from a 2017 F150 eco boost (keeping my Grand Design tho) now I am retired I want to move up to a 2024 F250. Was really looking at the diesel but now that I’ve seen your vid I’m looking more at going to the 7.3 …. -- I also use the PoPride Hitch and can say I love it, thanks for the vids and Happy Camping.
Love that, looking to trade in my 2021 7.3 for a 23 maybe 24 lariat. I love the sport package like you got but ford drives me nuts that if you get the sport pkg. you can not get the tow package. I want the sport because the non sport looks hideous, but I must have the tow package.
This one has the payload upgrade and tow tech package. Really don’t need a trans cooler for these Imagines.
@@WanderingWeekends I was after the extra spring and the rear anti-sway bar. Once you put the sport package on it removes and snow plow/camper packages.
