- An examination of the Ori warships/motherships and a few of the significant factors that make these vessels so formidable. Although the forces of earth made great strides in developing their own fleet of space faring battlecruisers, the warships of the Ori possessed weaponry and technology that far surpassed most everything that the Tauri had previously encountered.

You know, after watching this video it helped me realize just how much of the History of SG-1 was brought to bear against the Ori, and that is pretty cool.
Makes me wonder if Lantian Battleships can inflict serious damage to Ori Motherships.
Please don't call them "battle cruisers". That's bad luck.
I loved the first time SG-1 destroyed an ori mothership in space combat... it was a sad episode because the Asgard just killed themselves off, but it was really cool to see an Earth ship go toe-to-toe with an ori mothership and win.
For me, the scariest thing about the Ori ships was how graceful and maneuverable they were. Despite their size. Always reminds me of a pod of orcas toying with their prey.
Word has it those toilet-shaped ships inspired Trump's Space Force.
Well this was pretty good. But only have one problem. I don't think they would have been more than a few dozen of the Ori ships. They were only first built after they discovered that the Ancients had been hiding us from them.
I don't think that the Ori had thousands of motherships. The ships had to be built. Also, the Ancient weapon was never used against the Ori motherships. Wait, we never SAW that, though Sam encountered it in another universe.
I always thought of the Ori as space republicans.
Always thought SG did awesome work with their alien designed ships. Was easy to tell who was who in battle. Ori ships looked pretty badass.

My favorite part of the ori was their aesthetic. The transport rings for example are smooth and refined and the interior of their ships having flowing and organic shapes and the colors they used too.
That Ori beam still burns in my brain until now, it was so cool, might even better than Star Wars
Now that the Ori have been defeated, I wonder what happened to their remaining fleet of mother ships. I would imagine that the Priors and the Children of the Ori would no longer have a use for them, seeing as they live typically in what we could describe as a primitive society without advanced technology and their constructed purpose has come to an end. The SGC would be wise to acquire a few of these ships for study and research seeing as how they possess superior technology compared to other races in the SG Universe
the best moment was when SG-1 sent one through the super gate with the Merlin built super weapon and killed the firey bastards once and for all.
I like these ships they are elegant but deadly, I also like how they managed to make the ship look both like the symbol of the ori, if viewed from above or below and also kinda like the helmet of their soldiers when seen head on

The earth ships were outfitted with Asgarde technology and the humans were able to adapt their weapons to also allow for a huge canon shot function similar to what the Ori used in their ships. They were able to go head to head with a single Ori ship but ori ships would after their first ship was destroyed by the humans from Earth send multiple ships out at the same time in order for them to overwhelm the earth ships.
