What happened to BMW M didn’t ruin the look of the car with huge grill like M3/M4. Maybe their boss didn’t pay attention to it. Let’s hope in near future he won’t pay attention to anything so we can get better looking BMW cars.
Not possible, the car is a transverse engine setup and an inline 6 would not fit without causing the car many issues such as under steer and a poor turning circle. They would have to redevelop part of the vehicle to make the B58 feasible which is too expensive. Financially speaking, it is too late.
@@carlvoer232 use your brain if you have one it’s a x series suv powered by a 4 cylinder I already have a x3 35 it’s decent with the 6 cylinder twin scroll turbo but I can’t imagine how underpowered a 4 cylinder is going to be .

I've got no problem with BMW calling this an M35i but why are you giving it four pipes? It only further dilutes the M brand. Audi might as well put the twin oval exhaust on S models too then.
Before you buy this vehicle, let me point out the error BMW made in its design. On the front grill area where the radiator is located and slightly visible. Designers should have considered to put a mesh grill cover. Just recently purchased the M35i version, in less than 3 weeks of driving on the freeway to go to work. A rock punctured the radiator, took it to BMW for service and unfortunately it is not covered on their warranty. Hefty service price to pay 😏

@Alejandro_BoniIIa only American versions are gonna be as fast as the current golf 8 R with 317 hp. The rest will be 300 hp, and that's infact lower power than the previous m35 b48 engine.
Wow, there is nothing unique or exclusive about a full/proper M car anymore. In fact, it is crazy you need to mention "proper M" now days. Yeah, agreed. Especially because this is an M35i and they gave it four exhausts. That is a hallmark of a full M-car up until now. Not anymore I guess. True shame. And that is while I can't afford a true M-car but I can afford this X1 M35i if I wanted to, so what I'm saying would lessen the cool-factor of the car I could actually afford. And still, I think it's a real shame and damages the M-brand. They already gave the M-mirrors to M performance cars, they should have kept the four exhaust exclusively for the full M-cars.
