Great Buildings in Forge of Empires In today's clip I will provide to new players a first imagination of which great buildings are useful, which you must have and which you should avoid. One thing upfront: Do not invest too many forge points into the Oracle of Delphi. You better use them for other great buildings. In Forge of Empires you can put great building into 5 groups: 1. battle support 2. production support 3. city defense 4. population 5. others Great buildings for battle support For collecting blueprints I recommend all players to do guild hopping before you decide for a guild. Demonstrating how this works, I previously published a separate video on this. That video is linked in the upper right corner. The goal of every fighter should be to complete a full set of blueprints for the Statue of Zeus and to build this. Once you completed that great building join a guild playing at least level 3 of the guild expedition on a weekly basis. Investing forge points into the Statue of Zeus also makes sense if your progress in the technology tree is suffering as a result. The benefit is that you will succeed in level 3 of the guild expedition every week. Nothing in this game is more profitable than this. As soon as the Statue of Zeus is placed, the next goal is to build the Cathedral of Aachen. You should collect the required blueprints via support chains of other members of your guild. As soon as you have the necessary goods and blueprints to do so, build the Cathedral of Aachen immediately. Do not wait until your Statue of Zeus reaches level 10. Instead switch between both great buildings and always concentrate on the level that requires less forge points. Get both great building, Statue of zeus and Cathedral of Aachen, up on level 10, but definitely not above. If you develop slower because of investing into your great buildings, this is absolutely acceptable as long as you succeed to complete level 3 of the guild expedition every week without negotiating much. Possibly you find a guild unlocking level 4 of the guild expedition. Even if you only make progress on level 4 by negotiating, this is a very good investment. When you have time to do so, build the temple of relics. Most players are already in the high middle ages when they do so. Initially level 1 of the temple is absolutely enough. If you have to pause in the technology tree, just invest your forge points into your temple of relics. Beside that this has no priority because already in late middle ages your goal will be to build the Castel del Monte. I do not recommend to trade forge points for goods much earlier for it. Instead you should makes progress in the technology tree as each age delivers more expansions. Your city has to grow, it needs a lot of space. In the colonial age you might want to stop for a while in the technology tree to also get Castel del Monte on level 10. In this development pause you can increase your stock of goods and supplies. The next big goal is to reach the progressive era to build the Alcatraz. Latest with the Alcatraz a fighter should be able to successfully complete level 4 of the guild expedition every week. Only in the case of rare exceptions you should negotiate. It takes until the Arctic Orangery from the Arctic Future and the Kraken from the Oceanic Future to improve your troop's strength further. Until these ages only event buildings can add to the successful set of Statue of Zeus, Cathedral of Aachen, Castel del Monte and Alcatraz. Great Buildings supporting your economy The worst building for a fighter is the Lighthouse of Alexandria. No, this is not because it was a bad building, but because this is a fairly good building. But every forge point a fighter invests into the lighthouse, will slow him down in his development. Fighters don't need a lighthouse. Fighters make their way easily until industrial age without such a building. Those who complete the guild expedition every week without negotiating neither are short of good nor of supplies. After the iron age guild hopping tradespeople build the lighthouse of Alexandria instead of the Statue of Zeus. The Babel Tower and the Kolosseum are a waste of forge points. Nobody needs these great buildings. Better you concentrate your investment in one good great building than having many on level 1. Also the tradesperson needs space, a lot of space. He builds more good productions to negotiate through the guild expedition. There is no reason why tradespeople should not receive the nice rewards of the guild expedition. Neither fighter nor trader should waste their forge points for great buildings like Hagia Sophia or the Frauenkirche of Dresden. I highly recommend for both, traders and fighters, to build the Royal Albert Hall in the industrial age. To move through the following ages without the support of that building is more difficult than necessary. An invest in at least level 5 of the building is very profitable. Great buildings for city defense As demonstrated in my separate clip about city defense, having Saint Basil's Cathedral and Deal Castle is a very effective element of a city defense. But I cannot recommend to build these. They consume a lot of space in your city and they slow down your development significantly. It might be a conflict with your ego, but losing occasionally to plunderers is less expensive than constructing these two great buildings. Great Buildings for Population For fighters I highly recommend to enjoy the contemporary era. Never again will it be so easy to complete level 4 with fighting only. In this era, fighters as well as traders can construct the Innovation-Tower to reduce the required space for residential buildings significantly. Afterwards there is no reason to construct the Habitat. In the contemporary era players should make their decision whether or not the Arc or the Chateau Frontenac are according their stile of playing the game and make their plans accordingly. Those players who made their way to the contemporary era are above the level of this beginner level video. Therefore there is no reason for me to warn of great buildings like the Gaea Statue, the Seed Vault, or the Lotus Temple. There is no need to prove that investing your stock of coins into a Cape Canaveral can be a good idea, that the Dynamic Tower often does not be a good decision and the Voyager V1 is not profitable at all. This is a bit too much for a beginner level video clip. I have described things very strict. If I would consider all aspects, this video would last hours. On one side I know that this way leads to success. On the other side I also know that there are many other possible ways through this game. Many roads lead to Rome.
As a player who never fights unless it is unavoidable (basically, only for Daily Challenges), I have no barracks and no military GBs at all. The space you save from ditching that stuff is more than enough to build up a plentiful stock of goods. In two cities, I negotiate through GE level 4 every week without even coming close to running out of goods. For players like me, all GBs that produce goods are worthwhile: Tower of Babel, St. Marks, Lighthouse and Frauenkirche. Also quite affordable when you’re not wasting resources on your military! Both the Chateau and the Arc are essential, along with the Inno Tower by the time you get to Colonial. Learn how to use the Château to work the recurring quests and you can also get rid of all your goods buildings. I rank 3rd in my neighborhood and first in my guild with no more than about 60 battles under my belt. If it weren’t for DCs, it’d be more like 14.
I find myself playing both the fighting and the goods playstyle, I have St Mark's Basilica, along with Alcatraz, and those GBs were enough to allow me to sustain myself and my guild in GVG and guild expedition, among other things, such as having about 10 goods buildings from all across the eras
Danke sehr ! I quitted FOE for a time as I felt I wasn't progressing at all as I just build all monument thinking they were all benefit ! I cut through all the useless ones and I have a real rebirth of my city, I am going postmodern era soon and I feel it'll go better now !
One thing I did kind of early on was investing in a Dynamic Tower. Being able to aid people in Future and beyond eras and then doing trade downs in goods really paid off.
I built the dynamic tower during the High Middle ages, and having friends in arctic future, this building has deemed to be one of the best buildings to get if you can trade fp for the goods. I rarely suffer from lack of goods as i just keep trading down to my current age which is now Late Middle age
How did u get the goods for dynamic tower when only in high middle ages, becuase im in iron age and have the blueprints for the ARC and alchatraz but I do not know how to get the goods to build them.
Hey! I started playing this game a few months ago and have found your videos the most informative ones. Thank you for breaking it down so well for us! I am currently in the High Middle Ages and have build a Level 2 Lighthouse along with a Level 8 Zeus and a Level 7 Cathedral of Aachen. I would love to know your views about the "St. Mark's Basilica". You think its wise to go for it specially in regard to the coin boost it offers?
Lighthouse of Alexandrai makes game play much easier. For a fighter it is not absolutely necessary to have a great building producing goods before Modern Era, but it is definitely not wrong to have one. You will increase its level up to 10 over time without priority. Other great buildings are much more important. Zeus and cathedral of Aachen are two of them. Bring both to level 10 as soon as possible. Do not lose that focus. Afterwards the Castel del Monte should be your next building. I am not recommending to build the St. Basil's Cathedral. Same for Deal Castle. In early ages you do not have many forge points. Investing them in other great buildings is a much better investment. Receiving some coins should not be necessary. You already have such a building with the Cathedral of Aachen and even this is bonus was not the reason why the Cathedral of Aachen is a good great building. Players build it because of the fighting bonus. The defense bonus of the St. Basil's Cathedral makes your city defense much stronger. That is true. But my opinion is that it is not worth to invest so many forge points and space just to make it a bit harder for plunderers. Instead think about building a temple of relics and make the guild expedition every week. You will receive rewards there that you cannot receive elsewhere.
Can I say how much I enjoy your uploads, and I often recommend FoE hints to any players who are looking for advice on how to play this game. I also enjoy your choice of backing music, which sometimes sounds as if it might be public domain German easy listening music. The question of copyright vexes me, because your speaking voice reminds me of Werner Herzog and given a free hand I wouldn't mind a little bit of Popul Vuh, for example when the Guild Expedition is under discussion (and in which case some Kinski in the presentation wouldn't come amiss). I go by the name tago mago in houndsmoor, and my city is called paperhouse, so it is easy to see that I am a fan of Krautrock, which is what us Britishers affectionately term some of the most innovative music tohave be produced in the 1970s, or indeed any other decade. In fact the only thing that could improve your uploads, in my humble opinion, would be a mix of successful GE4 battles to the soundtrack of Amon Duul II's Archangel Thunderbird, or mebbe Wolf City. Sometimes I just turn your sound down a play the music anyway. Cheers! And congratulations on continuing the youtube partnership!
thank you for the nice feedback. Regarding music: I have to pay attention that I have the right to use the music. It come either from the UA-cam library or from Adobe as I am using their software fpr editing video and this software comes with some music. If I use music without having the right to do so, I always have the risk that the right owners might ask UA-cam to delete my video - or even the whole channel. I simply don't want to take that risk. But I try to use music whenever I think I find something nice to meet the mood or topic of the video.
You are absolutely correct in what you say amd of course I was just being fanciful in my music suggestions. I am sure that you get plenty of requests for upload subjects, and I hope that you won't mind if I add one or two. For example, how best to use reno kits (which I find more common than one-up kits). My personal idea is to save them up until I can advance the Special Building 4 ages, and to try and stagger my SBs so that I have some goods contribution to the ages from which I will need goods for personal progression. Perhaps some discussion of this might be useful to new players in the first ages who might otherwise be tempted to use reno kits too quickly--too quickly, at least, by my lights.
The most useful general topic imo, though, would be advice for FtP players, who have to evolve different strategies fro!m paying players, and who perhaps need more encouragement. But I am sure that you have plenty of stuff on your plate already, so let me say that this is no criticism of your uploads, from which I have learned much, and can I repeat how well you have made your presentations, and, keep up the good work
I appreciate very much that you, an authority in this game, disencourage the players to trade theirs FB for goods from much higher ages. What a sad, common city look nowadays: Townhall in the Iron Age, 3 Butchers, 10 smithies and... the Arc+the Innovation Tower! Pathetic! People enjoying the technologies discovered step by step are quite often verbally abused, treated like idiots by those "Iron-Arc" owners or even sent away by some guilds. Cannot understand how the Inno Games could have allowed this patology to develop freely... Thank you at least for your common sense!
Dear Foetipps, could you do a video about this topic again. Because we got the HC and the terracotta army and so on. Also a lot of guild mates of mine have their gg way above lvl 10. Almost 20 of them have a lvl 80 cdm. Could you explain that also because you said lvl 10 was enough.
Thanks for the video. I will still continue to build all the GBs but this will help me know which ones to level. My Alcatraz is next and i am very excited because i have about 10 of each BP
However, I must argue with 1 thing. I believe that the Lighthouse of Alexandria is a must also for the fighters. You can easily manage without its goods-bonus, but I cannot imagine going through the ages (even from EMA-HMA-LMA, let alone further!) without its bonus to the stock of the supplies...
I appreciate your help explaining all this to us newer players, thank you! I don't understand though why you make it sound like you have to be in the age that these buildings are available? I have a neighbor that's in the Iron Age that has a bunch of these buildings, including an Alcatraz. How did he manage to do that?? He even has a building from the The Future age.
In some cases it can make sense to build a great building much earlier. Some examples: Build an Innovation Tower very early (I e Iron Age) and you will never again build a residential building (and get some forge points every day). Others build the arc, Alcatraz, Arctic Orangery, Dynami Tower, Chateau Frontenac or Kraken. This should be done by experienced players only. Those who can judge what it means to do that. Also many of these early built great buildings are for power players only. Players using this game with less stress might benefit much less. Usually I am not recommending to do that it someone is new to this game. You then do better to advance fast in the tech tree to see more of this game. The way how you get the required goods is described in the video about the Arc, using this as an example for such a trade of goods for forge points. You also have to build a friendlist with players having buildings from the age of the great building you want to build, so that you have a possibility to collect the needed blueprints.
before you can build the arc the forge points is the key to grow. fighting it´s a good form to advance so the 4 attack support building i agree are great, in my strategy i add the ones that add forge points sofía, cañaveral, (del monte that helps in both areas), for non fighters goods buildings could be great to, because any goods building can´t give more than 30 goods a day and anyone of this building start giving around 10 if you can level em up they can be a serious upgrade to the investigation (obvious, if you have a good army you can steal it from neighbors, campaign or expedition
I'm late I just started a month ago. I'm at EMA. just oracle atm. And going trader all the way as possible. How should I build my GB after Lighthouse. Kinda didn't get the video. Thanks
If you already have the Statue of Zeus then the Cathedrsl of Aachrn would be good next. Only exception: If you are not fighting, but negotiating everything, then you should already have the Lighthouse of Alexandria, negotiate 3 or 4 levels of the guild expedition every week and be able to build the Temple of Relics soon.
Hey, awesome video, just wondering if I wanted to go with being a fighter and I got say all 3 great buildings to lvl 10, would I be able to auto battle threw guild expedition or do you need to manually battle your way threw ?
This changes a lot during the ages. First you also should have rogue hideout(s) and Alcatraz, as otherwise your losses would be difficult to compensate. In the lowest ages you will then succeed to do most of the guild expedition with auto battles. The more you advance, the more you will have to fight manually. In modern era I used auto battle for the first two levels and occasional encounters of the third level. I preferred to fight manually to reduce losses. In contemporary era you again can do most of level three automatically. In tomorrow this changes completely and from there more and more fights have to be done manually. Level 4 usually requires your full attention (few exceptions).
FoEhints Yeah okay. A bit of food for thought haha. Thanks a lot for your advice it really helps. your a bloody wiz on this game 😎 thanks for getting back to me so quick aswell, really appreciate it 🙏.
QUESTION: So, if im going for a Production Build, should I only use products in the Guild Expedition or is it always better to keep building armies and fighting through the guild expeditions?
I’m in the high Middle Ages and was afk for about half a year. I returned recently and had a huge pile of goods and I also have many great buildings far above my age. I have both the arc and cape canaveral. I am thinking about perusing innovation tower next so I can sell my houses and free up space. Is it worth it?
But the lighthouse is very good even on lvl 1 foe any player. The resource production boosts gives u so much extra resources that you can remove 1-2 resource production buildings. So it is basicly free. Ir is only 4x4 in size after all. :)
Could you make a video about which era's are the best to stay in and when one should progress through the era's? I've enterned Future Era recently and I'm struggling to complete 4th level of guild expedition by fighting. I've enterned that era because of increased probibility of getting Arc's blueprints due to supporting neighbours and i dont know if that was a good idea. Although i'm able to finish 4th level by negotiation, i would rather do that by fighting. Im wondering if getting to Arctic Future would help. I have 90%+ fighting bonus. Pls help.
It gets more difficult with each age/era to complete level 4 of guild expeditions. Contemporary era is a positive exception. It is relativly easy in this era. But hearing this now is not really a help for you. In Tomorrow the champions still helped to solve level 4. In the future you just need more bonusses. Event building help a bit - but only on attack, not on defense. Each level above 10 of Zeus, Aachen, Castel del Monte add only 0.5% bonus. But 50 levels are 25%. Some go that way - maybe after bringing the Arc to a high level. Also Kraken and Arctic Orangery give you bonusses. never forget, it is the intention of InnoGames to make level 4 being very hard.
Statue of Tzoise :) Can't agree about ToB, after ME it only become better. Any FP production GBs are good because they'll pay out their cost eventually. I totally agree with the rest, nice explanation!
I'm trying to make may way through the game without fighting (ocasionally I fight for daily quest with units I got from a quest) It gives me a lot more room for goods buildings and great buildings. I'm still in the early middle age and have the tower of babel and the lighthouse great buildings. I'm not leveling the tower for now and am only focussing on the lighthouse. If I don't invest any space in fighting bonus buildings would you still recomend not building the tower of babel? is there another building I can make for a lot of goods? I still want to do guildexpedition and battlegrounds so I need a lot of goods :p
I love your videos and your accent. My view on Hagia Sophia is a bit different. Any FP producing GB is a great addition to your city and being that it is the first one available to attain, you would be forgoing many FP by not getting it early. Sure you can get cultural buildings that produce enough Happiness but those take up space as well. Plus, if you plan on getting the Innovation Tower, you must have a Happiness building to Level along with Inno Tower to balance the population and happiness. A good validation of this for me is that I have over 60 OF friends and Hagia seems to be one of the top 8-10 GBs they priorities to level the highest. Remember, you don't invest all the FP yourself, as most top players use the 1.8 x Contribution reward donating model. Anyway, this one is controversial I've heard but I do really like it. Thanks for another great video. I look forward to watching all of them so keep them coming and keep up the great work Sir!
I am planning a video about the best way to quickly bring a great building to level 80 and another video about the cooperation of the Arc with the Chateau Frontenac
Why should a player choose between the Arc and The Chateau? Surely they complement each other, no? As I understand it, the Arc is amazing for increased GB rewards, and the other is perfect for 'heavy questing'. Wouldn't it be better to combine an intensive forge pt collection strategy through GB speculation, and, at the same time, maximise the obvious and many substantial prizes from recurring quests? A genuine question intended to help me improve my game. I look forward to a response. Thanks
From what i understand he means, you should decide whether or not you wanna build those two as a package. You're right. You shouldn't choose between them anyways because they complement each other.
I know that your comment is from a year ago, but the Chateau Frontenac similar to the Arc appears to be a must have. Plus, the CF is very different from the Arc as well.
As I had many houses until the Postmodern Era, I never had problems with coins. I even used millions to buy Forge points. Therefore I never considered to build St. Mark’s Basilica. Those players who build a great building providing population have less houses and might need a compensation for that.
I guess I'll not demolish it since it took many goods to build one, and may even come in handy to support FP acquisitions via coins. Sooner or later I'll also have to build population GB's, I guess. What I WILL demolish is the Oracle once the happiness boost proves ineffective.
HOW did you get the ARC and only be in IRON age? The goods for it are "future" Guessing you have a few guild members who gave you the goods to do it thru unbalanced trading. That's one of the problems I have had. Guilds so far have not done anything. Or they tell me they only do trading in groups of 10 FP. or there are the one's that have requirements that you either play an extension of their game style. or your on your own. Which is fine if they do not help with FP. I still help them when I can. I bet I have given out 5 to 1 on what I have been given.
Right now I am in the Progressive Era, I have a few GBs on my hand; Royal Albert Hall (lv 5) St. Mark's Basilica (lv 6) Capitol (lv 6) Temple of Relic (lv 3) Castel Del Monte (lv 8) Lighthouse of Alexandria (lv 5) I know I should also work on "Cathedral of Aachen" as well as the "Statue of Zeus" Do you have any suggestions on which of the GBs I should prioritize and which ones I should probably stop investing (or maybe sell to save spaces)? Sorry my question is a bit of too long. Your video is definitely great! I appreciate your help!
I am encouraging to not build certain great buildings. But once you have them and invested many Forge points into them, I would not recommend to delete it. You will not get your Forge points back. Your existing great buildings should provide you a very strong economy. But I assume that you only can fight very little in guild expeditions. Negotiations will need a lot of goods every week, especially on level 4. To reduce this, better fighting bonuses and more units (through Alcatraz) will help. Or you just decide to ignore fighting and concentrate on strengthening your production. A difficult decision and there is not a single right way. It depends on what you enjoy most.
Yes! To be honest, I had been concentrating on production for a very long time. I decided to become a fighter recently. Thank you for your advice! Just one more question here. Wouldn't it take me a very long time to collect all the goods for a GB, if I don't have many production buildings? Or is there a better way to do this?
You know that you get like 25 goods every day from each production building. On top you have event buildings delivering goods. The possibilities of Chateau Frontenac are described in the according video. Players who fight in the guild expedition receive goods there. (Negotiaters spend more than they receive). Sometimes 20, sometimes 200. Often from the current era, sometimes from the previous. In total it is a nice amount every week. And yes, it can take a while to produce some 2,000 goods required to build a great building from the future.
absolutely YES I highly recommend to play the guild expedition every week. This is very profitable even withut a temple of relics. But with the temple you receive additional rewards for the same activities. Of course you will win the face of the ancient (or gate of the sun god) very often. These are very helpful when a quest requires to add more hapiness. They are built within seconds. Very good to always have some in the inventory for this. Receiving military units, goods, or blueprints is also nice. IMHO the best rewards are the 20 or 100 forge points. Just build it on level 1 and it will already make a difference. Whenever you have no other priority, invest your forge points in the temple of relics to bring it to level 10 over time. This isn't urgent.
For a player in the Brinze Age: yes. For a Player in the Oceanic Future a simple coral (1x1 decoration) has more. The main probklem: You slow down your development significantly if you invest too many Forge Points into this.
Goodday.. i have a question.. i have al lot GG's for goods.. but now in space age mars i don't need these goods... Shall i delete all GG's ?? It would save a lot of space. Thanx
GGs are event buildings that produce goods? Don't delete. Instead ise store building items for these. Later you can decide to either ise these again or to sell these at the antiques dealer
2 points I disagree with. 1) I have Zeus/Aachen/CdM/Kraken/Alca & Terracotta all 10+ and have great difficulty finishing Lvl III let alone Lvl IV which is impossible for me. 2) I come close to finishing Lvl III each time but still fall short of goods. So, LH/RA/Dresden are needed to move up the tech tree especially Arctic Future and beyond as Arctic Harbor and Oceanic terminal are goods hungry.
Why is the Dynamic Tower not good if it gives you 20+ goods from the ages you aid? Goods from high eras can be very valuable and getting 20 each day for free is highly profitable, or is it not? Am i missing something?
yes, some players posted that experience. On the other side there is a huge initial investment, and trading goods down will become difficult as soon as too many players are trying this.
And what about being a hybrid? I am planning to build all 5 goods GB to: be a monster at contributing for the opening of GE levels and to never raise a goods building again. All this beside having military GBs.
NECROLORDZ 2 things: 1st: the best way to play this game is being a hybrid. Fight as long as possible, then negotiate the remaining part. This is the easiest and most efficient path. 2nd: I do NOT recommend to support your guild by building goods production buildings for guild support (possible exception: gvg). Better construct an Observatory or The Arc.
@@FoEhints I guess it will be both then. Thanks for the input. Only currently have the goods GB's that also boost supplies or coins. Once again, thank you for your dedication to your followers. =)
I have a Hagia Sophia level 70 and it generates 42 fp on 42 squares. Now true, it is the second to last fp GB I built to level 70, but 42 fp on 42 squares is still a lot more fp than 10 SoKs, so I will have to politely disagree with your conclusion that the Hagia is a bad buy. 6:49
You first invested forge points. You could habe invested them in other great building for a better result. But you are definitely not the target of this video as you mentioned that you have many great buildings on lebel 70. My video wants to help new players with their decision. A new player should concentrate on other great buildings because then they then have more possibilities in this game.
@@FoEhints Yes, you are correct. For a new player, the Hagia might be more than they can afford at a high level. But since you were mentioning the Innovation Tower, I figured that the Hagia is personally for me a much better buy, since it provides happiness, rather than drains it.
Hey buddy, great vids, you seem to know a lot and yeah... nice accent 🙂 . One question I got is what’s the best value GB to invest in to ensure the greatest fp and medals value on return (assuming you get top contributor).... would it be the most advanced GB’s. Any help is appreciated!
The higher the level of an great building, the better are the bonusses. The two Great Buildings players advance most usually are The Arc and Chateau Frontenac. If you find an agreement with the owner to get the highest rank, the bonus can be very interesting, especially if you also have an Arc on a high level.
Not directly But you can fill a great building so much that only 2 times the number of Forge points wanted for first rank is missing. Example: Assume the next level of a great building required 1,000 Forge points. Assume that the bonus for rank 1 is 200 Forge points. Now fill your great building with 240 Forge Points. Find a player with an arc level 80. Thus means he will receive 1.9 times the bonus of 200 Forge points which is 380. If he pays 380 Forge points into your great building he will receive all of them as a bonus plus medals plus blueprints. At the same time only another 380 Forge points are missing. This means that nobody else can steal his first rank. Next find sponsors for rank 2 and rank 3. then your level is completed.
never saw that before. Most players have the problem that it provides too much population and they start to get problems with happiness. Double check it and write down the related numbers. If it remains the same contact the support
@@FoEhints I wrote down my population before levelling and it was 9972, and when I level to 5, which is additional 6880 pop., then it should show at least 17K population.......... right?
I made the mistake of starting my own guild , how do I get out of it ( I'm the only member ) so I can guild hop to get blueprints? I've been playing for 3 months and it's getting very boring I've been stuck in the same place for a month trying to get the blueprints for Zeus
I never did that, but my expection is, that in the member list of your guild, you should be able to leave your guild. As you are the only guild member, this will destroy the guild. If this does not work, simply ask the support. support.innogames.com/kb/foe/en_EN
May I ask you something? When I have lvl 4 statue of zeus, I have already got 6 blueprints again. Then I press the Level Up Button, and Nothing happen. It stay on lvl 4. My Question is, is that a bug? Or I should completed the rest of FP and the next level my possible to jump direct to lvl 6 maybe? I try to restart the game and this still same, the only change is I lost my Blueprints.
When you have all 9 different blueprints of a great building (and the required goods) then you can create a construction side for that great building. This removes the set of 9 blueprints. Fill the construction side with forge points and the great building will reach level 1. Each additional level needs more forge points than the previous level. But until level 10 it only requires forge points, no more blueprints. To climb from level 10 to level 11 you need another complete set of 9 different blueprints plus the required number of forge points.
I'm still in the early middle ages, but I'm rushing my blueprints to complete the innovation tower, I'll eventually buy the goods for it. Though it is a costly investment, this will free a LOT of space in my town, and over the months, I'll even get some of the FP investment back.
I don't even worry about the tech tree. The more Great Buildings I have at a lower era, the better. I'm trying to get the attack buildings + Alacatraz while in Iron Age. Also Inno tower so I can get rid of all the residential era buildings.
...making your own city looking as a piece of horse sh.t, loosing all the pleasure to discover new tech, to build new beatufully designed buildings and missing any new experience from the quest line - congratulations!;)
I agree with you on that one. Unless if population is a concern residential buildings appear to be a waste of space which can even include premium ones that cost diamonds.
I can't understand why you say that RAH is important for fighters as well and that the lIghthouse is not. RAH is basically a more expensive (PFs needed to level-up) and bigger LoA - both boost supplies and give goods. I am a fighter in the HMA (already have Aachen, Zeus and del Monte - all on lvl 7), and I did build the lighthouse, but I won't be building RAH!
Indeed many people are asking the same. This shows that I should have explained this much better. As a fighter every single forge point counts and needs to be invested into great buildings with fight bonus. Especially in the lowest ages it is so easy to complete level 4 of the guild expedition without negotiating. And nothing is more profitable than this! And I do not only mean the average win of 200 diamonds every week. You also receive more goods from the guild expedition than a lighhouse provides! On the other side: If you are not wasting your goods for negotiating in the guild expedition, you definitly don't need a lighthouse. In the first ages you will always have enough goods. The situation changes completely in the modern era. Without a great building providing unrefined goods, it is more difficult. You could build a lighthouse then. But in that era you have a better choice: the RAH. It is not a very bad mistake to build the lighthouse early. But you slow down your development and you probably waste more for negotiating in guild expeditions than the lighthouse will produce.
it is 6 fp/day But you first have to invest 2,950 forge points. Other great buildings (i. e. cape canaveral) have a better return on invest and smaller footprint. You also get happuness from Hagia Sophia, but in later ages normal cultural buildings of the same size provide better results - and can be polished.
I cannot recommend the hagia. It is a bit like someone with a bicycle asking me why I am not recommending bicycles. He made the experience that a bicycle is much faster than walking. Then I have to tell him about motorbikes.
@@LS-vu9de Drtic 1 year ago Why not Hagia Sophia you can get FP from it on lvl 10 Its 5 or 6 FP (im not sure :/) FoEhints FoEhints 1 year ago it is 6 fp/day But you first have to invest 2,950 forge points. You are incorrect about Oracle...when this is level 15 or higher it is per square better than any other non-Great Building including event and diamond buildings
How many supplies is your Oracle giving on level 15? Is it 15,000? A hatter (3x3 supply production of the Modern Era) produces 740 supplies per hour. But this building benefits from bonusses while the great building does not. In my case these bonuses are: - 20% from happiness - 9% from Pavillion - 5% from Candlemaker's tent - 200% from Royal Albert Hall Level 10 (75 productions every day) - 150% from Lighthouse of Alexandria Level 11 (40 productions every day) This is a total of 384%, not included the 100% from a possible motivation. You see that in higher ages you can easily outperform the Oracle without wasting more space and without spending forge points. I prefer to use my forge points for more important things, especially in the beginning when player still only have very few forge points every day.
Golden Wolf Programming... What is your opinion on those two GB's? I have all the BP's for Hag and I need only one for Babel. Are they worth the investment?
I disagree with most of this video. GBs that produce Forge Points are very important early on, Just after your Statue of Zeus, CdM and maybe CoA. FPs are what roll you forward.
You will receive more forge points from the guild expedition than from every possible great building. Therefore concentrating on the great buildings emphasized in the video enables you to complete level 4 of the guild expedition every week. Get additional forge points from event buildings. This is the fastest development
Great Buildings in Forge of Empires
In today's clip I will provide to new players a first imagination of which great buildings are useful, which you must have and which you should avoid.
One thing upfront: Do not invest too many forge points into the Oracle of Delphi. You better use them for other great buildings.
In Forge of Empires you can put great building into 5 groups:
1. battle support
2. production support
3. city defense
4. population
5. others
Great buildings for battle support
For collecting blueprints I recommend all players to do guild hopping before you decide for a guild.
Great Buildings supporting your economy
The worst building for a fighter is the Lighthouse of Alexandria.
Great buildings for city defense
As demonstrated in my separate clip about city defense, having Saint Basil's Cathedral and Deal Castle is a very effective element of a city defense. But I cannot recommend to build these. They consume a lot of space in your city and they slow down your development significantly. It might be a conflict with your ego, but losing occasionally to plunderers is less expensive than constructing these two great buildings.
Great Buildings for Population
For fighters I highly recommend to enjoy the contemporary era.
FoEhints 15 Skipped or Sold GBs: Delphi, ToB, Colosseum, Notre Dame, Basil's, Deal, Capitol, RAH, Atomium, FoD, Lotus, Space Needle, Habitat, Voyager, Gaea...
FoEhints I'm in EMA and have Zeus, Traz, CDM, CoA, ToR, Inno, along with DT and now working on getting Arc what do you think of this
Why not get the Capital? You didn’t mention it for population.
We need a part 2 for this video. Its very informative and useful.

One thing I did kind of early on was investing in a Dynamic Tower. Being able to aid people in Future and beyond eras and then doing trade downs in goods really paid off.
Did it make it alot easier for you to get great buildings from future eras? Or did it take alot of time to do so?
I built the dynamic tower during the High Middle ages, and having friends in arctic future, this building has deemed to be one of the best buildings to get if you can trade fp for the goods. I rarely suffer from lack of goods as i just keep trading down to my current age which is now Late Middle age

@@ayudameporfavor1146 Me too. I have both.
Thank you for your advice! It is as always most useful.
Usefull video, thanks
You can easily manage without its goods-bonus, but I cannot imagine going through the ages (even from EMA-HMA-LMA, let alone further!) without its bonus to the stock of the supplies...
just build HC earlier.. you will never need any production buildings ever
I built a HC in Iron Age and deleted my LoA. Once you have an HC, LoA is completely useless.
Also, will the Alcatraz still work if I don’t have any buildings to train troops?
nope
Can you please make a video about the Virgo Project? I would like to know more. Thx :)
Next week the videos about Space Age Mars will start. One of them will cover the Virgo Project.
Some examples:
Build an Innovation Tower very early (I e Iron Age) and you will never again build a residential building (and get some forge points every day).
@@FoEhints how do u get these blueprints
@@brendanburke7163 I think that you can get these blueprints by trading blueprints with other players, maybe your guild has some?
before you can build the arc the forge points is the key to grow. fighting it´s a good form to advance so the 4 attack support building i agree are great, in my strategy i add the ones that add forge points sofía, cañaveral, (del monte that helps in both areas), for non fighters goods buildings could be great to, because any goods building can´t give more than 30 goods a day and anyone of this building start giving around 10 if you can level em up they can be a serious upgrade to the investigation (obvious, if you have a good army you can steal it from neighbors, campaign or expedition

What Great Buildings would you recommend for an Iron Age player going into the Early Middle Ages?
If you already have the Statue of Zeus then the Cathedrsl of Aachrn would be good next.
Only exception: If you are not fighting, but negotiating everything, then you should already have the Lighthouse of Alexandria, negotiate 3 or 4 levels of the guild expedition every week and be able to build the Temple of Relics soon.
@@FoEhints when should you get the Innovation Tower?
For most players it is the best decision to fight as much as possible and negotiate the remaining platforms

Statue of Tzoise :)
Can't agree about ToB, after ME it only become better.
Any FP production GBs are good because they'll pay out their cost eventually.
I totally agree with the rest, nice explanation!
I know I have a bad accent. I speak the word Zeus as germans do. I did not look up the english prononciation.
FoEhints on the other hand you pronounce Aachen perfectly.
Zuss!;)
I look forward to watching all of them so keep them coming and keep up the great work Sir!
is there a video for advanced players for GB advice mate?
I noticed you didn't mention St. Mark's Basilica. Is it a good choice considering coin costs in future Ages tend to rise very quickly?
As I had many houses until the Postmodern Era, I never had problems with coins. I even used millions to buy Forge points. Therefore I never considered to build St. Mark’s Basilica.
Those players who build a great building providing population have less houses and might need a compensation for that.
I guess I'll not demolish it since it took many goods to build one, and may even come in handy to support FP acquisitions via coins. Sooner or later I'll also have to build population GB's, I guess.
What I WILL demolish is the Oracle once the happiness boost proves ineffective.
I am in iron age. I am both trader and fighter. I have CoA, Zeus, Oracle, LoA, Arc, Terracota and relics.

Temple of Relic (lv 3)

But what are the purpose of blueprints? Do you need them plus the requirement goods to build the building??
Yes, and after lv10, every level requires a full set of bps
wow wow and wow ..thanks a lot
Is the temple of relics worth it even if you are doing guild expedition? It takes up a ton of space!
absolutely YES
I highly recommend to play the guild expedition every week.
I think the Oracle of Delphi is underrated. 189 happiness per tile is pretty good for such a small building.
For a player in the Brinze Age: yes. For a Player in the Oceanic Future a simple coral (1x1 decoration) has more.
The main probklem: You slow down your development significantly if you invest too many Forge Points into this.
I only got my first other great building when my oracle of delphi was lvl 5 ;-;

Goodday.. i have a question.. i have al lot GG's for goods.. but now in space age mars i don't need these goods...

NECROLORDZ 2 things:
1st: the best way to play this game is being a hybrid.
the voice of this clip brings me back to ''allo allo''
This guy sounds like leftenant Grueber from 'Allo, Allo...' ☺️☺️ and his little tanky...
Cheers mate! Some owners make deals to let someone win first place? Can an owner block or stop someone else’s donations?
Not directly
But you can fill a great building so much that only 2 times the number of Forge points wanted for first rank is missing.
Example:
Assume the next level of a great building required 1,000 Forge points.
Thanks for the explanation mate. Im rather new to the game and got so much to learn. Nicely done vids, you deserve more views for sure.
You tried to say "Castel Del Monte" all'italiana. Very good nice try😏👏😉😂
I found a lot player having the arc in lower ages.

I'm having a problem with my INNO Tower not adding to my population after each level......... Why?
never saw that before.

Arc Arc Arc!!!
May I ask you something?
When I have lvl 4 statue of zeus,
I have already got 6 blueprints again.
@@FoEhints wow, thats a good Information, Thank you for the Answer
I'm still in the early middle ages, but I'm rushing my blueprints to complete the innovation tower, I'll eventually buy the goods for it. Though it is a costly investment, this will free a LOT of space in my town, and over the months, I'll even get some of the FP investment back.
Vielen dank!
I regret building Hagia Sophia but I can't bring my self to delete it, not yet anyway.
both also is my oppinion.
I would NOT recommend to construct Hagia Sophia, but once you invested in it, don't destroy it.
JAMMY!!! That is what I to be.
what about Atlantis?
I don't agree with RAH. Why would you want so many supplies?
Lmao one of the best lines l ever heard was if you have your delphi in FPS shame on you and you're terrible for wasting guilds FPs lol great vid!
This video outdated as fuck. Why would you go to another era for building a gb?
Delphi is still shit tho lol
whats wrong with babel?
The more you advance in the Ages the less efficient it is compared to other great buildings.
@@FoEhints ok thanks
But you slow down your development and you probably waste more for negotiating in guild expeditions than the lighthouse will produce.
ohhh... ok!! now I understand what you meant! :) thanks for the clarification! :)
Why not Hagia Sophia you can get FP from it on lvl 10 Its 5 or 6 FP (im not sure :/)
it is 6 fp/day
But you first have to invest 2,950 forge points.
Other great buildings (i. e. cape canaveral) have a better return on invest and smaller footprint.
You also get happuness from Hagia Sophia, but in later ages normal cultural buildings of the same size provide better results - and can be polished.

No Hagia? But it gives FP and all the happiness you need for an entire age to never need any other happiness building, plus fp, lol

You need to explain WHY we're building these, not just say that we should be building them.
In my case these bonuses are:
- 20% from happiness
- 9% from Pavillion
- 5% from Candlemaker's tent
- 200% from Royal Albert Hall Level 10 (75 productions every day)
- 150% from Lighthouse of Alexandria Level 11 (40 productions every day)
This is a total of 384%, not included the 100% from a possible motivation.
You see that in higher ages you can easily outperform the Oracle without wasting more space and without spending forge points. I prefer to use my forge points for more important things, especially in the beginning when player still only have very few forge points every day.
Are you from Wakanda?

Golden Wolf Programming... What is your opinion on those two GB's? I have all the BP's for Hag and I need only one for Babel. Are they worth the investment?
@@SonSolo they're nice in late game
I disagree with most of this video. GBs that produce Forge Points are very important early on, Just after your Statue of Zeus, CdM and maybe CoA. FPs are what roll you forward.
You will receive more forge points from the guild expedition than from every possible great building. Therefore concentrating on the great buildings emphasized in the video enables you to complete level 4 of the guild expedition every week. Get additional forge points from event buildings. This is the fastest development
And now with gbg, atk is even more important
