This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.
Just to make things clear. I’ve personally bought two sets of these GT3 replica wheels from Augment. There’re a replica of the 991.1 GT3 wheels, not the RS. The RS wheels look similar but if you look closer, the spokes are rounded off, not squared like these.

Wheels look great, really suit the ‘tech’ nature of this build. Dan’s AWC is awesome, I’m a biased super fan from even before he made custom Gold Phone Dials for my 928. I remember that “box opening” feeling so well, enjoy. The right wheels and stance is critical to every build. M, please for the love of G, don’t use bare sockets and power tools on custom rims! Treat yourself to thin wall soft side wheel sockets and take your time with a manual torque wrench. Take your time and don’t f’ up the finish (guaranteed if you keep using those tools).
Nice! yea, my "soft" socket was too short to mount with those long studs. The socket I used is actually wrapped in Tessa tape, so it's "soft" as well. Good lookin' out.

watched your stuff from way back..... sorry mate not a fan of the wheels..... they look too modern (991.1 GT3 comes to mind). but as long as you like them, its all good! much prefer a fuchs type wheel for the 20th century stuff. but i do love the color, the fit and the finish.
Still love the colour of the car, but sorry, the wheels look too modern to me for the car. Each to their own and what’s most important is you like them.
Personally I’d have gone for a 17” hollow Fuchs in satin gold.

Congrats Mike, those look great. I had Dan at AWC make me some Miura inspired wheels for my old Alfa and was similarly thrilled with the results, they do nice work. Not cheap, but a great way to make the car your own.

@@rennch. Maybe just a bit darker from what you ended up with. I agree tho, the wheels are kinda big. Have to see what they looked like tucked in. I just really like the look of 15" wheels and Michelin TB or Pirelli cinto's :) Awesome work so far! Need more content drops tho. I'm really itching to see how the digital gauges come out.
