This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.
Hi Mike, I'm probably way out of time with the build now, but please please please, from experience, all new OEM rocker cover gaskets, head gaskets, pulleys, etc. The motor likes to breathe from my experience. Been there and done it and struggled for weeks with shifter cables. it was easier to go one over and one under the old torsion tube, also tried the water pump there and it just never ran right being to high

Try some SEM trim black for the cowl, it will look and hold up great. also a DA with a scotch brite pad on the aluminum looks great! The car si coming along nicely

What wheel and "scotch brite" did you use for the Aluminum hood to brush the finish at the end?
Both of them were that kind of rusty brown color. I think they equate to a 240 grit.

Thanks bud. I think the most important thing is to do the work whether anybody's watching or not. Just do it because you love it.
Also, don't be intimidated by any of the procedures. You can literally do anything with a cheap welder and a set of hand tools. If you don't know how to weld then youtube will teach you.
I love your persistence, your passion, your creativity, and your beautiful craftsmanship. But can you do me a favor and watch some videos about how to TIG weld please? The bungs that you welded onto the wastegates, and the welding that you're doing right now just absolutely ruin the car.
It's like you've spent years on this thing and put all your hard work into it and you ruin it with some sloppy welding that shows. On the other hand, if you learn how to TIG weld and you make some beautiful welds you can absolutely enhance the look of the car and make it one of the best looking cars out there.

Don't know what it looks like in person but, on video the "bonnet" looks like shit. Sorry man but we can see all the machine lines. I'm sure it'll look great when you do all the paint and stuff. Both cars are really quite awesome!
P.S. After reading some comments, I guess I'm the only one that doesn't like the bonnet but hey, what do I know lol.
