Such an emotional tune....and played with so much emotion ....Mark Knopfler would be proud...
Soo, There I was walking down the main street in Upton Upon Severn (Blues Festival 2019) and I heard this amazing guitar player, just his guitar , practise amp, and some other electronic stuff on a little trolley thingummy. I stood and listened for probably an hour/ 2 pints, sent the wife I didnt want to miss anything hahaha. Anyway found out he was playing a gig at the campsite stage that night which is where I was staying. Well what can I say, for me its not what he plays, its how he plays it, seems like he can play anything, but for me his blues numbers were simply outstanding. He deserves a slot on one of the main stages hopefully next year.

Yes he is very talented and hard to walk past. Many players can play the blues but emulating Hank is something else. Many try, many fail, including myself. 🎸

Wow! The level of musical talent that comes (and has come) from that small corner of the world is simply insane! Some of the greatest bands of all time. Musicians like Elton John. I discovered Chris Buck a few months ago. Now Mark Allen. It just doesn't get any better. Cheers from the United States.

Hello Gib. The virus closed down all of the buskers livelyhoods but last Autumn i managed to film Mark when he came down to Cardiff. Since then his famous guitar is being refretted and needs a few months to dry out before new frets are added....hope you are both ok..

Observing the people randomly happening to be there around the great Mark Allen, I perceive their indifference to any form of beauty. It is not a matter of being a music expert, it is not a matter of being an artist: it is just a matter of being sensitive to beauty. And most inhabitants of this planet aren't. Simple as that. Most people passing by do not even bend their heads for a millisecond, in the attempt to realize where that sound is coming from.
Exactly, you said what I was thinking. At least there are those out there like you and me who do know and appreciate such things.
You're so right: "smelling the flower of music is what it's all about.". Maybe, tasting this wonderful music is a gift of the gods to us. We're the privileged ones to hear and taste the beauty of this. It's something in our brain that makes it so. And remember, even Mozart met with a lot of resistance. If people don't have the taste of music, they don't have it! Don't blame them - pity them! And say 'thanks' for Mark.
