Why in the heck do I not ever hear this on the radio in December? This song captivates the spirit of Christmas more than any other modern attempt at making a classic.
I re-wrote this song for a Christmas special at my church. Every one thought is was an original song. I agree 100%. It is a great song and a very underrated movie. I have it on a VHS tape. The DVD is not easy to get.

It kills me that "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," the worst Christmas song EVER (It's like the sort of Christmas song that Honey Boo Boo's family would write) gets more radio airtime than this beautiful, encouraging song!

@@jasontachin Much as I loved the guy, I think he was an entertaining detriment to the film. His shtick just didn't belong there. He was a brilliant actor, but in this case, he was playing Robin Williams the whole time.
Honestly, a lot of that is on the director, who should have reined him in, and the writers for likely caving to his presence (or the producers who demanded it because they had Williams in the film) and including the shtick in the script in the first place.
This song always brings a chill down my spine and tears in my eyes. It is a masterclass on how to do a song for the holidays right.

One of my fav childhood films. The movie script was on crack but it didn’t matter to an 8 year old like me. It was about toys, adventure and the battle of good vs evil. And this song was just 😮💨💯

This is a seriously underrated Christmas song.
I love the Seal cameo. More songs should do that. Just have a major music artist come in for a brief cameo halfway through the song.
This film needs re-releasing on Bluray with a few hours of extras. A rerelease of the soundtrack would be great too.

I never understood why Toys got such a bad rap. I remember when it came out, all the reviews were atrocious but I went anyway because of the cast and I loved every minute. I went out and bought the soundtrack on cassette, always loved this song.
The film was just ahead of it's time I think, which is why people hated it at first.

This was a classic song I heard it after watching it on cable a year later 1993 I was 16 going through hard times as a teenager but this song made me smile and took me back to better times with friends and family! I remember having a stereo player hooked up to my tv and I used a tape cassette to record this song when the credits came up I’d play this song almost every Christmas . Anyone else did this before? I miss the 90s when you could have parties and spend time with family no worries no Covid but great memories none the less!

My dad and stepmom took me to see this Christmas Night of 1992 in Philly. We were the only ones in the theatre. I remember really liking this song, and when I heard Seal's part I was like OMG that's Seal! Cuz I had been a fan of his since the year before when he debuted with his hit single Crazy. I know that the movie bombed and critics at the time absolutely hated it. But I don't think it's that bad at all!
I remember I had in my country HBO from a pirate signal. I was like 7 years old and I was so enchanted with all the toys and that world, this music and that movie bring me such nice comfort and nostalgia.

The movie Toys brings back memories of my childhood in the 1990s. I first saw this movie when I was 6 years old. I grew up with many Robbin William movies. Toys was ahead of its time and it was great.

If you've never actually watched Toys as an adult, I highly recommend. It is way deeper than even most adults get, much less what you'd notice as a kid. So many layers of meaning, while still just being fun.

I was obsessed with this movie after my dad picked it up as a rental back in 1993. I rented it a couple more times on my own and eventually bought a VHS copy from that same video store. Still have it, too.

I never knew there was a video for this song. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a fan of this movie. In fact, I'm amazed it predicted VR goggles, military drone technology and 3D monitors that don't require glasses. I mean even the soundtrack has amazing music.

The movie was and is one of my favorite movies and certainly one of my favorite Robin movies.
Edit: Just watched a few more times and realized Seal's presence was always strong in this song. I'd never seen the video though and only knew it from Toys and with the lead being female, I assumed it was her song with a backup singer for the one part.
But now that I've seen it's Seal I've listened a few more times, and his musical style is strongly present for both his part and the beginning before the kids' vocals join in.

I can’t explain it, I didn’t much care for this movie when it was released and many years went by and I decided to watch it again because I wanted to remind myself why I didn’t like it. I watched it again a few times and it never really grew on me. But for a movie I didn’t like some weird urge called me to watch it again and something finally clicked. Im not sure what clicked but now this movie is magical to me in a way that no other movie is. It’s just magical and beautiful and awful and speaks to my soul.

I think Toys flopped as people were used to Robin Williams of Aladdin and Hook, and Toys was NOT any of those. Way ahead of its time, just like Cable Guy. As for this song, I recall it on the radio a handful of occasions that Christmas. Lotta good music in this movie, including Seal and Tori Amos along with Wendy and Lisa.
