Wendy was Prince's spirit animal. She truly helped push Prince's 80's popularity. Wendy is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. She and Lisa have penned some of the most popular TV and movie scores. I wish she would get more recognition but I do know I love her and I guess that's enough.

Absolutely an example of the best written, best musicianship, best produced music ever. If you don't know Wendy & Lisa they are of Prince fame, under their name. Absolutely some of the best rock to be published, they are Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman. I simply cannot say enough about the immense song writing and musicianship of this duo. They went into music for film and television and have won an Emmy Award, I think because they were never properly promoted by their label. If you want to hear some of the most simply beautiful music ever to be recorded.

Yep, plug Wendy excels at clean more dreamy styles of finger picking, chordal voicings rhythm which is a great overlooked skill. Prince was more of a soloist but wendy often times brought different influences, heavy joni mitchell chord voicings against princes more bluesy, rock, jazzy oriented stylings

@@zonasound ..Prince wasn’t more of a soloist, his rhythm playing was as good as anyone’s...and his creativity was undeniable.
Although it’s great he allowed his bandmembers to add their approach from time to time,it’s evident he could do it all...you can hear that on his very first record, along with the first record by The Time.
He played all the instruments on both those studio albums. His ability to chord was definitely strong.
