For someone who played the n64 Goldeneye 007 Game and watched the movie, listening this song remastered is such a good way to remind me of good times, nostalgia feelings all the way. This even gives me goosebumps, look how much further we are compared to n64 graphics and sound effects! This cutscene gives me chills...
Bro fr, I was 7 years when I first played this in 2013 and that GoldenEYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE part always gave me the chills😅 i’ve been a bond fan my whole life and before I played this version, i actually played the N64 version first at age 6 and didn’t even know that there was a movie of it till my mom and dad told me about it after awhile and I was blown away completely and loved watching every second of the action with Pierce Bronson in it. My older brother played it on the N64 as a kid so that’s how I discovered Goldeneye when I was younger at the time and now I’m 18 years old😭 time flies by fast when you’re having fun…
That 'jumping without a parachute' line reminded me of the N64 version, where Bond jumped without a bungie cord. If this game's got other winks and nods like that, then I'm gonna like it even more!
Reference to the Goldeneye movie where he is tied to a helicopter about to explode itself, without the other woman this time. If you have seen the movie you can find the solution easily and survive.
This was one of my all time favorite games, my mom would play it with me , she passed away this year and I would give anything to play it one more time with her…she could kick my butt in this game 😂
R.I.P to your mom :( she must’ve been an awesome one and my mom only played games on the Sega Genesis with my older brother and oldest sister but never really played any with me because she didn’t know how to play the newer games.
I love this game so much on Wii ! :) This is one of the best Wii games ever created in my opinion . Nicole Scherzinger did a fantastic job with the intro music :)
Who designed this intro ? It is so Bondesque with the guns and naked girls !!! But you actually also see the GoldenEye and its effect, unlike in the movie intro !
A very faithfull movie adaptation : the main music theme, facility toilet newspaper, runway motorcycle, xenia battle...😎 excellent job plus a COD infiltration style.
I found a copy of this game in a charity shop today. Decided to give it a try. From what I've played of it so far, it's quite decent. Though I wasn't expecting the theme song to be remade as well. Not bad.
it wasn't underrated it was generally rated very highly (and rightly so). I think some people are just throwing a hissyfit because they cast daniel craig as james bond and because the game isn't exactly like the severely outdated goldeneye on nintendo 64.
Kinda weird that it wasn't in the DS version. I know the cartridge space is limited but they had a lot of voice acting in it, couldn't they have spared the couple of megabytes? They opted for the generic James Bond opening theme music for that one.
@@JamesParadiso parachute Edit:nvm I'm stupid. If u jump in water correctly, from that fall you would survive. Also hes James Bond, of course he survived
@@NightyFall The original Goldeneye for the N64 scene looked more like an Assassin's Creed style leap of faith than a bungee jump. Granted this was the N64, a console that probably lacked the hardware required to properly render a bungee rope without glitches, so I'm willing to pretend it never happened.
In my eyes this game is canon to the Daniel Craig Era of James Bond films. In between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall. Which is why it took 4 years to get the next one out. Also I think "Bloodstone" is canon too.
Not sure if I agree that Tina Turner is better, I kinda feel that people claiming that are either nostalgic or not judging objectively. Tina Turner has a deeper mature voice, which is arguably sexier than Nicole's younger vocals; but Nicole also has a wider voice range in this song, and the voice comes softer, yet loudly. I'd say Nicole's innate and passionate skill comes out as better than Tina Turner's overall; they're both good, but I have to give it to this new version. As a singer, Nicole is better; as a "bond girl" tone, Tina Turner is better.
I dont know why all the other versions on youtube sound like crap, but this one is a lot better. I was worried. The audio is better, aside from the annoying sound effects.
The whole point of Craig's bond is that he's the early life of 007, before bond becomes, this womanising, witty person. THat's why he is one of my favourite bonds, the early, no heavy use version that is mentally changing after his lose and adjustment,
@@jonboy_13 Golden Gun reference? Kind of reminds me of how Nintendo did the original Punch Out game, with the golden cartridge being the Mike Tyson version and the other one being the Mister Dream version.
@SopuchLoveHardrock the story was rewritten with different characters and is supposed to fit craig's perspective. it resembles the movie but it isnt supposed a remake of the orginal
@scottcarmichael I think you should actually play it for a couple hours and you'll see it feels a lot like the original game. But yeah it's not an exact remake... but if you want the exact same game just play the N64 cartridge.
I found this game to be just as equally addicting as the original, and its a nice fresh surprise to find a good shooter on the wii no less, tho i prefer the GCN controller for the game, its by far my most liked Wii Shooter
Exactly. While I liked Brosnan's rendition (and I think every actor has given his own meaning to the role, I dislike no one) I think he is too much gadget-based and too womanizing. Some times, it even seems as if he is a teen guy doing it all for the girls! Craig has that witty, cold character that proves he is a professional, above all. Yet -as of Skyfall- you get to see he is a sensitive person, too. Specifically, after that movie, he is my favorite. I'm no longer sceptical about him.
@corneliab As a side note though, another reason it may not have been seen was because Rare originally had objectives for Bond to find the bungie cord himself, which involved using a boat to travel across the lake over to the "Lost Island". But it was cut after it was deemed 'too difficult' for the 1st level. Aaaanyway, enough of the history lesson that no-one asked for!
@lukeez512 My guess is that, because the game was made by eon productions, the people who make the movies, and Craig has a contract with them to play Bond, allowing someone else, like say Bronson, to voice Bond would be a breach of contract and cause both parties to lose money. Plus it was probably more convenient.
@corneliab I know it's implied it's just... urgh, look, I wrote that months ago & I've kinda lost the enthusiasm about it, so sorry if my response doesn't make sense. Basically, I saw the line as a way to reference that Bond "seemed" to jump without a bungie cord. I know it was implied but I remember finding it strange that he did so & assumed others (like the developers of this game) thought the same, for whatever reason. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, just seemed a cool coincidence to me...
@MasterMacLeod Oh right I get ya! What I meant was that in the N64 version, the cutscene at the end of the 1st level shows Bond bungie jumping down but with no bungie cord (due to the mission where you got the cord being cut out, if I recall correctly). And I was just pointing out that the developers of this game probably noticed that, and put a reference to it in this scene...
@KillerKane0 because people need to do the action moves in real life then they put it into the game. they wear a outfit that reflects the moves they do into the system. So pretty much it is just like making a movie only a little different.
i didn`t know there was a remake off goldeneye n64? thinking of getting myself a wii some day, maybe i should look this up. their voices seems weird though, it would be better with sean bean and pierce brosnan.
@scottcarmichael It's not an insult, it has many homages and nods to the original. And they couldn't just remake it exactly because Rare owns the code and that would be theft. They needed to base it off the MOVIE not the game. And the original writer for the movie wrote this game.
@scottcarmichael I'm a big fan of the N64 GE but this one is great too, not an 'insult' at all. The older game, as good as it was for its time, hasn't aged too well, Eurocom had to make some changes for today's audience and they did a great job of doing so while still keeping some classic elements. I also think Nicole Scherzinger did a very good job on the remake of the theme. She's not Tina Turner, big deal, this isn't an easy song to cover but she pulled it off quite well.
