007: Nightfire GCN - Chain Reaction - 00 Agent

- Infiltrate a nuclear power plant in the process of being decommissioned by Phoenix Industries.
Objectives:
1- Investigate building ST-1
2- Investigate building ST-3

This one is easy, at least if you know the spots of the snipers which never change. I didn't get any of the bonus gadgets like the Phoenix Ronin because I feel like it's kinda pointless to get them on this mission, and a waste of time. The only place where you'd get to use it would be in the ending, but then you have the experimental laser turret to deal with the enemies.
Don't forget to leave a "like" and subscribe if you enjoyed the video!

Gets shot in head with Winter Tactical Sniper:
"I'M HIT!"
INTRUDER SPOTTED.
Billy Benavidez I SEE HIM.
Billy Benavidez shot fired MAN DOWN MAN DOWN!!!
My favourite was the defeated sounding one at the end: "He went inside" 🤣
Crouches down for a second: WHERE IS HE?
8:53 for those who say Nightfire lacked GoldenEye N64's magic. Nightfire had its very own running-on-the-stop enemies.
Sam Harper haha! Brilliant. 😂
What the hell was that guy doing he was running into a wall
I'm just picturing a twist where Phoenix is completely legitimate and Bond just shoots his way in.
Bond: You had snipers everywhere
Drake: There's nuclear material on the premises. Only an idiot wouldn't have that level of security.
Bond: What about those space suits, jetpacks, and laser schematics/prototypes?
Drake: What about them? We're a massive international company with many divisions. What are we not allowed to introduce new products?
Bond: Well this is awkward. I'll just be going.
Drake: No you won't. The Police are on their way. You killed dozens of innocent security personnel.
for 2002, these graphics are sick.
Thats why I miss 2002 the year of the glorious days.
They hold up well now too!
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 sometimes games are not about the graphics
@@annoneymouse5999 I know.
I used to play this game a lot back in the early 2000s on the Nintendo Game Cube! Man it was fun!!
Nostalgia coming back to me so many memories as a kid!!
Even though the game Graphics today are better but the game plays are just not as fun as the 1990s 2000s and early 2010s after the early 2010s games became really kinda borning and shitty!!
when i was a little chitling i thought those hasmat guys were space men xD
SO DID I!
Shad DUDE SAME HERE LMAO. I WAS SCARED OF THEM TOO LOL.
Don’t worry, when I first played nightfire I didn’t know that night vision was a thing so I thought the ninjas had naturally red eyes, like they were freakin aliens or something
jack bassindale hahahah yeah i thought that aswell. Damn good times
It's "HazMat", and yes, I uses to be a bit terrified of HazMat suits, too.
I always liked doing this mission for the sheer enjoyment of sniping bad guys, and reloading the sniper rifle.. I love the way it reloads.
This mission has armour piercing ammo that you could swap out and i would repeatedly swap it out with the regular ammo in all the downtime of the mission.
This still is an amazing game, quality over quantity. It's the one gamecube game that I didn't have to buy again!
7:45 "I'm hit!" 3x
Could've been x4 but he shot the 4th one in the face
He said “Intruder spotted.”
“I appreciate the exclusive interview” ....I don’t think it was any ordinary interview judging the way the reporter spoke 😂😂😂😂
Drake porked her no doubt
All while the camera man filmed it lol 🤣😂 🤣😂 🤣👍👍💯
Yeah definitely picking up on a lot more sexual tension in this game than I realized when i was like 10
@@TheApostleofRock it happens when you get older
When you played the multiplayer first so you knew kiko was bad before Bond did.
Garrett Heisler haha fr
@Dustin Reid For many people this was there first experience with James Bond.
Cringeworthy comment lol
To be fair, any woman who is introduced early in a Bond adventure is either a baddie or she gets killed
Yeah, multiplayer spoiled so much for me. Rook's scars and being a bad guy (I assumed he was just some generic butler npc)
With its PS2 technology, and that this isn't a sniping game to begin with, I'd say this is the best (and most difficult to date) sniping segment I ever played, better than MGS3's The End fight. Finding all the enemy snipers took like 3 to 4 weeks of 2 hrs daily gaming in a blind play through (and you can't even use the camera to locate them practically speaking), and they always can see the player after firing the first shot, and neither could you run through the map for they would gun you down midway. Wow... games these days need to learn from this than making all opportunities to just explore micro transactions.
I remember going to my friend’s house and having to watch him play this mission over and over again for weeks haha
@@TheQuantumPotato That's why action games in the 90s and early 2000s are still more attractive to some people than the games these days. Gaming tips in those days come not in the form of UA-cam videos but in words and still pictures at best. This mandates the players to think much harder rather than just train up their fingers to press buttons.
Of course, with the abundance of video guides and first person shooter games these days, the older games can only remain in the old days.
It's due to the fact the snipers can deplete all your armor in a single hit on 00 Agent difficulty, while killing you with roughly 2 body shots afterwards. These snipers don't have the best accuracy, but there's so many of them that it doesn't matter for them.
7:50 Takes cover but half of his back exposed
Nightfire is my defintive favourite Bond game. I do love Goldeneye, but not as you do - I play NF since my 13 (10 years, now in 2017) and it has became my favourite. The missions, the driving, the N64 TWINE look-liked multiplayer, which I could play for hours even if I'm alone, and the unlockable stuff you can get in the single player. It's loveable to get the golden P2K, but I fall in love with the normal version (the one you used on this map). It's weird; maybe because I used the pp7 so much in Goldeneye, I hate to use it in this game.
Absolute favourite mission! So many secrets and different ways to complete this one!
I hate this mission. It's not fun to be shot by enemies you cannot see.
@@spartanq7781 The first half's not so bad, but the second half is just unfair. How are you supposed to know enemies can shoot at you from the windows, or from on top of a building? The glare from the sun doesn't help.
@@spartanq7781 loser
I loved this mission, but god damn was it punishing on the higher difficulties.
The Ronin was a big help in this mission. You just had to strategically place it.
That burly ass sniper sound effect gives me nightmares lol
Fr lmao
@@RonaldMcDonald519i agree bro
This game was action packed. I swear it feels like I'm watching a movie. Just accept that this is early 2000s and you can appreciate the detail and the pace
I love that the Phoenix Ronin is in this level. If you know where to find it, it's an awesome bonus. In my opinion, the best place to use it is in the final room on the catwalks where you have to use the prototype weapon to open door C-5.
That's what I always do too.
Only true OGs play this. Like many of you, this was my childhood so was Agent Under Fire and Everthing Or Nothing and From Russia With Love. I also played all the modern 007 games too.
Intruder spotted.

@@YYUTESARK_CLAN I'm surprised a year old comment got a reply that fast, enjoy your rewatch and make sure to watch agent under fire afterwards!
I've just found this channel today and it's so great to see that so many people shared my childhood playing these 007 games. For me, this level and Fire and Water from Agent Under Fire really stick out to me. At the time, they felt like huge, intricate levels. This video is one playthrough of this level, and probably the most efficient, but of course when you're a kid you don't care about doing it perfectly. Me and my brother spent hours on these levels, exploring everything, finding secrets, and I think that's such an achievement for these game devs. They made a game that really captured our imagination
Agent Under Fire and Nightfire were both a great time in our childhoods. I think we all loved to just play around the maps and try to find all kind of "secrets". AUF I liked it more to play multiplayer against bots with my brother, that along Perfect Dark.
DEPLOY THE RED TEAM AND TAKE HIM DOWWWWN
I Loved This Level. Only One Problem... I COULD NEVER BEAT IT!
Dodge Charger How come?
If memory sticks, it took me at least 2 weeks of 1-2 hrs daily gaming to beat this, if not 3 weeks. It's so hard just to look for those snipers in a blind play through and they always see you after firing the first shot or go into the open
00 agent
@@КГБКолДжорджКостанца Depends on the difficulty and how quick your reactions are when it comes to sniping. Especially when you get to the crane, there a crap load of snipers all over the place.
I hated this very annoying mission as a 9 year old kid
Dude who did the soundtrack was kinda a beast
Man down, man down!
I'm hit
This was by far my favorite level on the game. Sniping was so much fun
I'm not sure if you knew this but in the first part of the mission. There's a Phoenix Ronin and a Delta Crossbow.
Yeah, but you have to wait for the robotic crane thing and it takes a while for something you probably won't use. :P
If I remember correctly there was a 007 Bonus there hidden, though. So it's required for platinum.
@@Graslu00
I think he's taking about when you can zip-line into the hangar onto the catwalk and jump onto the roof of the structure in the middle to get the crossbow and Ronin.
@Gina I didn't know you watch Graslu00
@@DHCNetwork06 I was looking for someone who is good at Nightfire then I found this UA-camr. Wow this comment is 2 years old
If i remember correctly there are a few secrets in the first area of the level, like the delta repeater crossbow and the ronin suit case turret.
That's right, I just didn't get them here as I consider them useless for this level.
The Delta Repeater probably helps a little, but the ronin is only useful at the tail end of the level.
Mr. Rook looks like dwayne Johnson A.K.A The rock
wouldn't be surprised if you had cut a 360 noscope in this mission
I see him: I'm hit!!!
Intruder spotted: Man down man down
😂😂
These 007 games just hit a lot different. There was always a steady difficulty curve and style factor each mission had. You can pretty much remember every single level, which is a similar vibe to Agent Under Fire, and The World Is Not Enough. I found Chain Reaction to be one of the gatekeeping missions when I was younger. Rewatched Countdown first, as I think that mission is top 5 one of the best Bond Game Missions.
I guess one of the requirements of joining Phoenix Corporation's security teams is to bomb the radio with repetitive chat messages whenever you spot an intruder or get shot.
Lol
Oh the memories this game brings back.
3:47 *TACTICAL ROLL
Back in the day when I played this game as a kid and on the Real PS2, I considered this the most hardest level, and I've played them all on the easiest difficulty. How shameful is that?
I beat this level for the first time in a decade and a half last week
this map always confused me. i mean the whole place about to fall down from rust and they had research labs in there? and also the fact that Kiko was a traitor was a heartbreaking moment. (also it was wierd that Bond did not sleep with her during the game, like he did with Dominique, Zoe and Alura.)
With the sniping, this was one of my favourite missions.
Too much radiation, we’ll
Have to go around
2:00 "Intruder spo.." yeah you
For 2002 this game has some pretty incredible AI.
Damn the memories as a kid I really struggled with this mission
Well played, brings back memories
I really like the fact you can hear the enemy radio chatter
He had to have taken a radio from the sniper he knocks out before he spies on Drake.
I love how we don’t see rooks face scar until the second to last level.
It's been like 16 years since I last played this game but I still get flashbacks from the section at 6:56
Took me like 3 days of nonstop replaying because I could never locate the damn snipers
It’s so hard to aim on the ps2 with the analog sticks, every time I move them the crosshair moves like an inch.
Bro turned into Dr. Strange and knew every possible outcome.
Intruder spotted I’m hit ! Lol 😂
I like how the sniper rifle disappeared into hammerspace when James Bond climbed the wire.
The way the reload syncs up with the music 10:18
Satisfying af
I remember going to gamestop and having to look through their official guides to find all of the bond moments.
I used to go to GameStop when I was young. But I'm so close to quit cause them games are expensive.
THIS MISSION WAS SO FUCKING HARD!
Hard to believe this game came out only 5 years after goldeneye when you compare the graphics
So rook was the boss the whole time died twice
The building theme of this sound like a rap type
talk about a good sniper fight which sure pisses off Rook
This is where my game would crash. I wish I still had this game. Well a copy that worked lol
Wonder how many of the people who made this worked on CoD
I fucking loved this level
This game was my life no stress no worries as a kid
James Bond: Killing machine of her Majesty servis.
Mission Complete: Bond runs through warehouse sized door "Where is He?!" "The Hell??!! Did you SEE THAT?! He just vanished! Like a F**KING WIZARD!"
Reminds of Konami’s “silent scope” games
(WATCH OUT, THE ENEMY’S GOING TO SHOOT!)
I loved this mission so much. I did a play through about a year and a half ago. I was so happy playing this and smoking dabs. Damn 😥
11:28 see that? a long time since I remember the storyline of this game and I could already tell Kiko was a bad bitch. "she was pinned down" pinned down, my left ass cheek!!! 😬
goddamn Jappy 😒
The PC version was... interesting... to say the least, as it allows you to get into what the towers were converted into...
I miss this game and ive lost my ps2 cables ☹️☹️☹️
Damn that's awful.
This and Counter strike motivated to get the real Accuracy International Arctic Warfare in .338 Lapua Magnum. Saved up for a long time and finally got it last week!
That's crazy, congrats!

@@romeo_alpha0176 no rush youl find just the right one bro
I struggle in that mission when I was little but now I got good at this mission because of your camera is upgraded you can use it to memorize where enemies with snipers are hiding. But at least enemy snipers aren't as cheap BS as the sniper jackals from halo 2 on legendary because they always fire a warning shots, they'll kill you in 2-3 shots depending on if you have body armor, and their fire rate is slow which gives you more time to take cover. But overall this mission is pretty fun.
I remember getting this game 19 years ago for Christmas 2002 or 2003. I was so happy cause I was a huge goldeneye fan.
Oh yea me too.. opening up gifts during the ps2 era was a treat this and Socom was my shit lol
@@tthetopofmygame The ps2 Era was the best Era for games. My personal opinion.
This was a cool mission! Gotta dig my ol' PS2 from the closet and get nostalgic :D
This game, this mission oh lord the golden days. I got the highest medal in this mission, I played that much that I knew all the spots and timings of the enemies hahaha
This level used to piss me off because of those snipers. How the hell did they come back after you kill them in the beginning?
lol How does he employ such terrible snipers?
They're supervised by his top henchperson, Gaemp Lay.
Run into the open ended areas of the map and you'll change your opinion. They will gun you down in a heartbeat.
It’s possible that they’re not combat hardened. Might have unsteady hands in the heat of combat.
God I just spend about 4 hours on this stage. Its punishing even on Agent difficulty.
its my favorite game Nightfire
Kiko you are traitor because you betrayed James Bond and sided with Rook and Drake.
Fact: Chain Reaction and Countdown share some of the same music
Loved this section of this game
Rail jump to stairs to crate to mission complete? Oh hell yeah, we all did it
Also, anyone else wince when the vent grate hit his shoulders?
As a kid this level took me months to beat. The second half felt impossible. Nowadays id find it probably pretty easy.
why are you using the Golden PPK?
This mission has a glitch similar to AUF's ulimited bond moves in the final mission except with this one it's bad guys that never stop spawning at the end. Why does the Bond Moves score only say there's two?
*Joe rogan at **0:35* "HES HURT!!!!"
professional gameplay 👏
I prefer the Wolfram P2K over the PP7 because it has 16 rounds, while the PP7 has 7 rounds.
Playing chain reaction on stealth feels like im a ninja
Also pls don't attack me I was just trying to chill here
I'm hit ! I'm hit ! I'm hit !
This game is for Nintendo GameCube or Xbox 360? a question The grafichs is Very High
It was released for Nintendo GameCube, Xbox and PS2. This is the GameCube version played through Dolphin at a higher resolution.
Graslu00 Really very good you videos of 007 NightFire :),Thanks for answer me,and I Subscribe in your channel ,I Played much in PS2 This game, the graphcs is good, but no than with Nintendo GameCube, but Is good Too
The Voboma I love the game on the original Xbox but leg on ps2 (ps2 slim)
I played this game for years as a kid and only now is the left-sided bolt bothering me
Lots of games from the era made the guns mirrored so the brass would jump across the screen and give a greater "wow" effect, sounds dumb, but that's partially the reason lol.
I lost like 100 times in this level first time I played this one.
It's actually possible to reach the roof and enter the highest floors.
Was this running on an emulator?
Yes, in one of the dev builds of Dolphin 5.0.
I would like to see you do Sniper Elite V2
Did M Say The Power Plant Was In Tokyo?
She says it was somewhere outside of Tokyo. According to the official guide, it's located in Honshu.
7:50 Nice cover buddy
Ahhhh you just had to be there
The enemy coms made this level for me
