it's insane how beautiful this game is. How could they let this franchise die?

It's EA they put ridiculous time crunch on developer and when they don't meet the expected result they'll just shut them down

bro that had me shook LOL
another_wun was the MVP in this game, holding the line against that massive push and saving TechMage despite having the worst economy through the first half of the game. We didn't get to see the stats for the south team but I expect him to have easily the best KD ratio. I'm guessing he had the same redeemer he started with for it to have gone heroic.
I was completely convinced that the Northern team was going to push their advantage all the way to the end, but boy was I wrong. I'm honestly stunned that the Southern team was able to hold out and I have to agree with some of the other comments here that Another_Wun was absolutely the lynchpin that held it all together. Great game!
Techmage using those beacons was beautiful to watch and a good reminder to never ignore your backline defenses against stealth. It also reminds me of some shenenigans i did back then in skrimish against AI ammasing 20 or so specters to delete bases

I think this is the best Battle I've seen. Most of your replays play out very similar, but this one? A back and forth to the very end.
I dunno what their skill level is, but I think Battles between non pros are always more entertaining than those of Pros.

Not to undermine another_wun's performance, he was truly the lynchpin for his team and the MVP, but I'm still baffled by the performance of JudgePower. It reminds me of how I played the game against AI when I was younger. Mass T3 units, but just sending them to their death. The first attack was just fine, but they were really stubborn on sticking to mass mammoths as air was becoming prevalent. Actually, the team in the north didn't commit a lot to AA throughout the game, probably relying too much on mammoth missiles when some slingshots (or using the firehawks as AA instead of charging them to bomb structures that were well defended by Team South's AA) could have helped tremendously (with some micro).
Mass T3 might have been OK if they were juggernauts. But he was sending in mammoths against completely stealthed bases full of spectres and dual beam avatars. I think planting a few sensor pods with orcas would've really helped, just to get some vision on what he was attacking.
The north team was building firehawks at some point that got obliterated by those stealth tanks that were around basically all game, likely happened more than once.
Yes, they built some, but they mostly were used for bombing tech from what I could see. I think there was only one air engagement with them. Of course, the stealth tanks absolutely annihilated them on multiple occasions, and it comes again to (mostly) JudgePower throwing. It happened multiple times, yet they didn't invest in sonic emitters or anything to protect those very frail and expensive units while on deck.
Shadow teams using a Beacon ability? Are you kidding me?! This is finally happened!! Oh, I need to rewatch this vid few times, it is so good, I cannot describe!

Tbh Techmage did play an important role with his beacon spam bc he managed to cut down the harvesters and the spikes and to thus stall the economic development. The frontline started shifting north about 3 minutes after the strikes against the spikes and the harvesters

I really hope to see lots of pacs and mothership action but well it still an awesome match tho

There are no mods here. The footage is interpolated up to 60fps in the edit and I'm using Masterleaf's 4K texture pack, but also Kane's Wrath just looks very good for a 14 year old game.

Well, back in 2007 I bought the disc's, but with my new PC there is no hard drive anymore.
I guess more things have changed.
I downloaded it and now I am confused where to drag the files in.
There is no "map" or so folder.
Using the steam C&C TW version and Windows 11.
Any idea?

@@benlamont7349 Don't let the name fool you. It's a remaster mod for many of the assets and contains bug fixes and modified shaders for self illumination, tank tread specular lighting and much more. Most of all, its a high res texture pack. What it is today is a result of 2 years of working on it, at times almost nonstop.
@@benlamont7349 It's made to work with R19 maps as well. A lot of the assets only come into play when playing on those maps. You can find the R19 map packs and the 4K mod on my youtube channel in the channel links, or any one of my videos. I have a mega link containing everything there.

you can corruptor heal allied scrins tho.
@@OneSybert Tested it out last night. I captured MoK MCV and pumped out a few tib troopers. They cannot heal Allied scrin units, but also, cannot damage them. So, there's the answer to that question.

I mean, it's basically been dead for 10 years. There's still a player base and tournaments but it's very small. Maybe around 100 regular players who still love the game all these years later.
