Astonishing gameplay from both players! The final match was an absolute nail biter, maybe the best match I've seen on your channel so far Sy. Cannot wait for the finals!
So cool to see you still casting these replays! I used to watch them a lot back in 2014 and have done so on and off over the years. Also very cool to see KW is still active and has a competitive player base!
When talking cranes a design feature change that resulted in cranes falling out of use was the alteration of what cranes are allowed to construct. In cnc3 Tiberum Wars they could build anything except Construction Yards and I think other cranes. This meant that players would lay down 5 or 6 cranes in the corner of the map and it would allow them to drop 6 obelisk or 6 watch towers.
@@МихаилМилько-ю3з No it was, if you have a box copy of Tiberium wars it does. They patched it due to the issue I stated above in which players would dump 6 of them then use them to build infinite base defenses
Sybert, you are the best caster ever. Watching your videos is like football for me, and I am rooting for Masterleaf or Bukerush as I would root for Ronaldo or Messi.
I was a really good Kane’s Wrath player on Xbox when the multiplayer was in its prime. I was a Steel Talons/Nod main. No School Like The Old School 🤘 Loving this channel, epic fights🔥
That last match... I never played multiplayer but can't stop notice how was air army his choice after having that big lead over futurama, map so tinny and lacking resource it just make no sense going that route.
How do you hear about the events I'm trying online for the first time I'm not as good as drive or rex or anything close but I want to get as good as them
Yeah you need that huge lead early on as any nod faction against gdi cause especially black hand doesnt have a single answer to juggernauts. Futurama knew in that first game that it was far from over. He just needed a few Juggs.
@@TheDude50447 well looking at what leaf actually did, his biggest problem is he kept throwing upgraded bike/buggy at the back line, WHILE futurama was base creeping with his mcv, some juggs, and a predator tank. If he had gone south instead of east, he could have knocked all of that out. Once futurama took the southern ridge and knocked leaf out of the middle, it was over.
@@Mantorok12 What Im saying is that leaf is a top level player and even with a basically game over advantage from the start he barely pulled through which was purely down to juggs. No other unit in the game can be as oppressive
@@TheDude50447 If we're talking late game, hexalaming with traveler is pretty bad too. But what really made the juggs nasty on that map was the terrain. They could hit everything from up on the ridge, the obelisk couldn't reach it, no air units, and base defenses could tear up any approaching ground units. But Leaf's EMP buggies and bikes would have been an interesting fight if he attacked the front line with them instead of the back.
Masterleaf was so perfect in semis and now all of a sudden he feels that he can only win with cheesy strats? why??? wtf did I just watch? And Futurama could barely control his units in semis, I remember thinking that if they meet right now, there will be no competition. How is this possible??
Games are played on different days. Maybe warmup and prep was different between the two rounds for each player. Maybe Futurama did a bunch of scrimming against someone who was emulating Leaf's style. Maybe one of them ate a bad breakfast.
I thought Futurama won game 6? Like the last shot of the game was event Leaf selling the MCV. I'm not complaining since I want the ace match but just thought it's weird.
Very competitive! BTW, would love to hear your opinions here: Why don't most GDI players produce mammoth tanks more? Are they just too expensive/too slow that they either go for a group of predators or a juggernaut instead? Because among the tier-3 combat units, Avatars and Annihilator Tripods are much more popular.
juggernauts are more the GDI equivalent to avatars and tripods. Juggs are arguably the best artillery in the game, much cheaper than mammoths, and you can reclaim the husks like tripods or avatars. In theory, mammoths would make a good defensive line to protect juggernauts, but even so, that could be accomplished easier with cheaper units.
A mammoth tank costs 2500. A Marv costs 5000. mammoth tanks are also extremely slow, but don't have huge range like the Marv. This means that when attacking they are going to be under fire for a while before they can even get into range. Also their damage without railguns is poor, but railgun tech Costs almost as much as an entire marv
I don't get it, why don't these pros garrison their hammer heads with rocket squads/ grenade squads? Seriously.... Does anyone know? Because I can't think of anything scarier than rocket squads with the mobility of a hammerhead.
They definitely do. It's just a case of the situation you're currently in and of course everyone makes mistakes so sometimes people don't think of it soon enough. Certain factions have really, really strong AA and so garrisoning hammerheads just means when they die you'll loose more. If your hammerheads are there to kill a prodigy or infantry building extra rockets isn't going to help you.
Its very micro-intensive. If you play against AI, you have time, but against pro players like masterleaf? Big no. You need to dedicate like 10 secs to garrison 10 hammerheads. Its a HUGE waste of time. Also they tend to get obliterated by cost-effective AA which also conviniently has a lot of health.
Wow these flame tank/reckoner rushes are so stupid...I'm absolutely tired of seeing this stupidity that leaves 0 counter play options. Why is this BS even in the game...
This is the first tournament in a long time where flame tank rushes have actually been really effective. Flame tank rushes usually have a higher failure rate than success, but when someone figures out a new way to do it and people don't adapt quickly then you get what happened here.
@@OneSybert and I like the variations on the flame rush we're seeing, a flame tank and two split reckoners. Seems like you have to get some good scouting against black hand in high level play. And don't deploy your refineries and war factories in a tight triangle.
This is perfect, I just finished the semi finals. I am one of the people who found your channel recently. It's cool to see this game still gets love!

When cultist mind controls reckoned it auto kills all units in the reckoned as in the T59 vs backhand game
I'm actually willing to see this on TV. Rather then football/soccer or some rally racing would be cool to see TibWars.
Perfect timing!
@Sybert are you a one man crew? cause this quality of casting outpaces what I am used to in a lot of RTSs.
Yes largely I do everything myself. In this case the thumbnail art was made by Drive, but everything else is me.

hey, liking the casts quite a lot. a small suggestion: could you add a gametimer in the ui?
I've actually just done that. The video with it will go live in a couple days. Some recent RA3 games already have it.

Had masterleif placed his obelisk in back and stacked a few it could have helped much more
