Although I would’ve replaced Project 50s with Devil’s Rain, this is a sound list. The resurrection era is what got me into The Misfits and it’s the era I prefer today. In mid October I love watching horror movies to get in that Halloween mood. Listening to the 2 Graves Misfits albums work the same way. They have more atmosphere than Danzig or Only albums.

In more positive news my rant is going to be more proactive, with black humor but more importantly I want to start a petition that hopefully gets to AR that he and the fanbase DEMAND that the career killing turf that killed this season in 4 plays (which I hold Woody, Chris and John Mara responsible for being cheap and not giving a fuck about anything and Aaron has to know he won't change (hell if it was cheaper to have the concrete turf they had at the Vet he would do it) Woody can not be trusted to do anything right, you have to force him to do it. I will also demand that if Aaron or other get hurt and the season falls to shit again that nobody give one penny to this boil on the ass of this fanbase after AR retires and we have to suffer ANOTHER rebuild which might cause Sauce and GW to jump. It's mandatory for this season upcoming. Not in 2-3 years now. Rival fan bases have interest, Dolphins lost one of their best D players on Black Friday, Wandale Robinson and so on. So I'll appeal to JetsTwitter spread the word all over. It MUST be done or we might totally fucked imo.
I preferred the Michael Graves era and Famous Monsters was the first Misfits album I bought. I had heard some of their music in the past but didn't attract me at that time in my life. Then I heard Scream on a free magazine compilation cd Terrorizer magazine I think it was - a great magazine at the time, don't know if it's still going) and it hooked me and got many of their albums - I like Danzig era but for me Graves era and his vocals just hit it for me - esp Saturday Night.......classic and haunting and also one of my fav songs of all times. I don't know why people get heated over which era - I happily listen and enjoy both Danzig and Graves eras.
No disagreements here. I was pretty sure I knew what your top 2 would be before watching the video. Both are great albums and were my first real introduction to the Misfits. I forgot to take the disc for Famous Monsters out of the CD deck when I got rid of a previous car. Project 1950 is a fun listen. My kids enjoy listening to Motown so I'll sometimes mix in some tracks from Project 1950.
Oh dude... 😏 It's not that I don't like American Psycho, even Famous Monsters is "funny". The production of the music is good and they learned to play their instruments better, ok. BUT.....they sound like "party metal" 😂 That has nothing to do with the Misfits, The real Misfits! First, Danzig wrote ALL songs, for a good reason. His songs have the unique atmosphere and are truly timeless. You can't compare them to the new stuff, with Graves or Jerry, because it's a different level. The real Misfits songs are so fucking good, that the lower production level can't destroy them. By the way, Walk Among Us has a really good production and you didn't even name it. 😅And we talk about a Punk Rock Band! They were totally DIY, amazing outfits, spooky, raw. Listen to In The Doorway or Hybrid Moments, the vocals and the songwriting is so good, it hurts! A song like Scream sounds pathetic and silly in comparison. Like I said, the Graves and Only Misfits sound like party metal, a complete different band. Not bad, but they look like "clowns", to cartoonish, to metalish.
